In the first part there is the procedure of photovoltaic energy convertion analyzed and the source of this energy described – Sun. The pieces of information about the technology of sollar cells manufacturig and some new technologies recently developed by scientist are summed up in the following part. As next there is the function of photovolatic arrays described as well as how the form of their construction affect their effectiveness. And last but not least the individual project of FV system for family house in Czech Republic with its evaluation is worked out.
Evaluation of photovoltaic power system in the company area
Novák, Petr ; Maule, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of a photovoltaic power plant in the company premises. The first chapters briefly discuss the theory of electricity generation using photovoltaic panels. It describes the principle of operation of photovoltaic panels, history, production, etc. In the practical part of the thesis we focus on the evaluation of the company's photovoltaic power plant when comparing real data with simulations.
The power of solar radiation falling on a photovoltaic module
Kaliyev, Alexey ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
The work is focused on the problem of the solar radiation power impacting on a photovoltaic module. In the theoretical part, the possibilities of using solar energy in renewable energy sources, especially in photovoltaic panels and solar collectors, were discussed and presented. Then the materials on the use of solar energy in these sources were reviewed. In addition, the three main components of incident solar radiation on a photovoltaic module or solar collector were described. Finally, the method for calculating the position of the sun across the sky was discussed and presented, as well as the method for calculating the various components of incident solar radiation on a photovoltaic module.
Renewable Energy Source
Mašek, Martin ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis deals with description and use of renewable energy resources in the Czech Republic. At the beginning of my thesis I characterize individual renewable energy resources and its today’s use. In the main part of the thesis I focus on wind energy in more details, especially technical description of the wind power plant. In the end of my thesis there is a description of the small workable wind power plant and its economic analysis.
Renewable energy sources in CR
Bulíček, Pavel ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The content of this bachelor study is the technical recherche in the usage of the re-newable resources of energy in the Czech Republic with a view to the wind energetics. The study contents basic characteristic and disputableness of each type of energy resources, potential of the Czech Republic in exploitation of wind energy, description of chosen types of wind power plant and integration of wind energy into Transmission System of the Czech Republic.
V-I characteristic of solar cells
Kaderka, Tomasz ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The theoretical part is to outline the possibilities of solar energy conversion, learn about the issues solar cells and describe the history of photovoltaics and photovoltaic energy conversion. Then describe principle of the measurement VA characteristics of photovoltaic cells. This issue is not as easy as it seems at first sight, because the solar cell isn’t a linear component, which is very easy to measure. Analysis of VA characteristic of photovoltaic cells affects parameters such as: light intensity, temperature, serial and parallel resistance, the slope of the light source, and more. The practical part deals with creating a workplace for automatic measurement of VA characteristics of photovoltaic cells in the LabVIEW. Challenge is to create a functional program, which automatically measures the VA characteristics not only in the lighted cells, but also in the shaded cell (diode mode). The program calculates the power and important parameters, such as short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, maximum power, current and voltage at maximum power article. The program allows you to export the measured values to a text file. In the last chapter of this work is made control measurements of three samples of monocrystal photovoltaic cell by the measuring workplace. The measurement is compared with the reference device Solar Cell Tester.
Photocell as a power source for a small DC motor of RC car model
Nábělek, Ondřej ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Mikulčík, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this project is to acquaint the reader with problems of solar cells and project of systems for solar cells power a small electric machine performance. Preliminary discussion of the energy produced by the Sun incident on the Earth. Another chapter contains information about the fundamental function of solar silicon cells and conversion of solar energy to electric energy. Main part of this work is devoted to various types of solar cells, production materials, the structure of cells and solar panel. The last part is a measurement system for solar cells, the verification of theoretical assumptions and evaluate the results of the work.
Photoluminescence diagnostic method with transmission illumination
Kafka, Martin ; Veselý, Aleš (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is an innovation of photoluminescence measure research workplace for measurement of cells structure defects by method of transmissive illumination while employing the current methods of measurement of defect in the solar cells structure. The first part deals with explanation of historical development of solar energy, of how we can reach production of electric power with contribution of solar radiation and defines usability of solar cells in practice. The thesis further analyses a practical application of measurement via laboratory diagnostic methods used by Department of Electrotechnology Brno University of Technology. The second part is focused on mechanical design of experimental photoluminescence measure workspace used for quick diagnostic defects employing the rear arousing source for detection of defects with assistance of transmissive system of illumination. Finally, with co-operation of SOLARTEC s.r.o. three types of solar cells are measured by this new method and compared with results of measurement via diagnostic methods of LBIV (Light Beam Induced Current), LBIC (Light Beam Induced Voltage), Electroluminescence, Photoluminescence, and detection defects by radiation of Microplasma.
Rooftop photovoltaic system and its return of investment
Burián, Michal ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Pěcha, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor’s Thesis is focused on a potency of using the Rooftop photovoltaic system, like the investment project. The general principle of the photovoltaic transformation and eventual utility of a sun solar radiation in Czech Republic is described in the first part of the Thesis. Furthermore there is a overview of approachable technology of the photovoltaic systems. The third part contains a review of inverters and photovoltaic systems integration. Following the complete concept of the Rooftop system and the calculation of capital expenditure for the selected property. Finally, the last part of the Thesis attend to summarize produced aggregate energy, the profit assignment due to service system. The main aim is to evaluate the Rooftop photovoltaic system and its return on the investment due to operating costs.
