LABYRINTH
Schiffnederová, Markéta ; Sláviková,, Ivana (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
In the past, my work was focused on transferring the flat visual element into the space. I turn away from this concept, because as my Master's thesis I chose a Labyrinth. A labyrinth is not primary flat visual element. My final work is free artistic interpretation of this theme. My work based on classical craftsmanship techniques, which I am using in the new way in my work. I understood this theme labyrinth as an something very personal and individual. Because of this, I decide to create sculpture which will fit in to the gallery space and also the space of everyday life. My expression of the Labyrinth has cube shape. The entire sculpture is stitched inside, this stitch create the inside space. In one way this inner space is open and we are free to look inside, in the other hand center of the sculpture is hidden. I want to express a feeling of secrecy, and create tension between outside and inside space of the sculpture.
Obstacles in life
Jedličková, Eliška ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
In my bachelor's thesis, I decided to devote my study to the field of sports, the personality of the athlete and especially his psyche. I am interested in connecting the inner feeling of the athlete and the given movement, which in my interpretation, is jumping over an obstacle. I don´t want to point out and portray the realistic, perfectly shaped body of the athlete, but I want to portray the inner feelings, dynamics, mechanicalness and disturbed concentration, which should be embodied by the individual segments.
UNTITLED
Ambrůz, Kryštof ; Mazanec,, Martin (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
In my diploma thesis I do not deal with anything, I do not touch anything, and in the end I do not want to do anything. I work without a theme, without motivation.
Tactus
Zelený, Tomáš ; Pangrácová, Lucie (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis builds on my previous 3D printed works in space. The sculpture is made out of support structure in 3D software and shifted into reality using print. The result is a totem pylon printed out of PETG material.
Generative growth
Zelený, Tomáš ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to emphasize the aesthetics of the support and also their functionality when placing objects into grown structures. Those objects seem fragile thanks to their chromaticity, but at the same time they need to be strong enough to hold the mass of diverse objects, such as piece of wood or stone. The aim of this thesis is so the scaffolding has its use in a real world. Scaffolding, that is now existing in the digital world, will pervade into the real world.
Firefighters' Memorial
Krhánek, Adam ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
Figural sculpture and 3d real-time visualisation.
The Interconnection of Sculpture and Photography
Schlosserová, Jana ; Mára, Pavel (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
Combination of classical sculpture theme and technology with black and white photography and its process. Sculpture takes place and installation typical for photography (location on the wall). Combination of two parallel realities don't create real version of reality, but its deformation and anamorphosis in space.
Reliefs
Horčicová, Monika ; Sedlák, Jan (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis consists of three relief objects composed from femur bones. The first relief object is geodetic structure applied to the shape of a sphere. The following two are deformed by softening the material from which they are cast. The second relief object also works with geometry (a square at the base) and systematic folding bones according to a clear order. The third relief can directly interfere with the viewer - the individual femurs contain every two magnets and therefore can move freely with them after the metal plate.
Painting in Expanded Field
Donát, Vojtěch ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
This work deals with overlapping paintings in other media, while maintaining an emphasis on "the essence of painting" (Painting) approach. It remains crucial for the whole session, overlaps paintings will be investigated as a function of the new language of discourse, supplementing traditional painting as a medium.
