Comparison of cryptography performance of microcontrollers ARM Cortex-A
Škurla, Tomáš ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Slavíček, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the measurement of cryptographic performance of ARM Cortex-A series microcontrollers. The theoretical part focuses on the description of concepts of cryptography, while at the same time explaining the principles of operation of individual cryptographic systems. Afterwards, thesis also describes the inner workings of ARM processors, their historical development, support for cryptography and detection of said support within processors. This is followed by defining the metrics for testing, part of which includes enumerating the hardware used in the testing process, with the focus being on the cryptography acceleration and encryption support. This also includes a description of the planned environment and software used in the testing. The practical part includes a description of the actual preparation of the defined environment and its possible modifications within the individual testing needs. The thesis concludes with an evaluation of the processed data and subsequent drawing of conclusions

Ilčík, Ondřej ; Dolíhal, Luděk (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This study is focused on grafical modeling of embedded systems using dialects of UML. It provides a brief description of existing profiles. Furthemore it deals with modeling frameworks for the Eclipse platform and describes an implementation of such modeling tool as a part of project Lissom.
Advancing Packiging and 3D systems
Nicák, Michal ; Šandera, Josef (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This project consists of three parts. The first part is aimed to summarize list of actual packaging systems and especially systems using 3D construction. Project continues in the second part, which is more practical and contains design and production of organic and inorganic testing substrates for lead-free soldered 3D structures. Last experimental part is about tests performed on soldered substrates and evaluation of results of these practical tests.
Intelligent BMS for lithium batteries
Vašíček, Jakub ; Kazda, Tomáš (referee) ; Vyroubal, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design of electronic system called BMS, which is necessary for lithium batteries safety operation. The first part contains a brief description of lithium battery design. The following is an overview of the main parameters of this type of batteries. The next part describing various methods of state of charge (SoC) estimation and the ways to ensure uniform charge of each cell. Based on the theoretic analysis, the block diagrams for individual parts of BMS were designed. The following describing device assembly and design of control algorithm. The last part is devoted to measurement of achieved attributes. In conclusion, results of the work are discussed and possibilities of future improvements are suggested.
Radar receiver beamforming implementation in FPGA
Bárta, Jakub ; Dvořák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of digital beamformer for 3D radar. The text of this thesis contains derivation of beamforming algorithm and detailed description of it’s implementation on development kit with Cyclone V circuit. At the end of the thesis the beamformer design is verified and it’s further usage is discused.
Tool for mapping computer infrastructure assets and designing SIEM correlation rules for security monitoring
Hrabálek, Matěj ; Caha, Tomáš (referee) ; Safonov, Yehor (advisor)
With the growing popularity of the SOC service, which often uses SIEM tools, new challenges arise regarding the implementation of these tools into individual infrastructures that can face cyber attacks. SIEM tools can detect cyber attacks only if they are configured correctly, i.e. they collect the right logs. This bachelor’s thesis is used for the facilitation of the process of implementing SIEM into the internal infrastructure. They discuss the appropriate categorization of log sources and correlation rules, the naming of correlation rules, and a system for mapping log sources to relevant correlation rules is proposed, which facilitates the implementation of SIEM into the infrastructure. All knowledge is then implemented into a web application, which is the practical output of this bachelor’s thesis. The web application allows the user, who is going to implement a SIEM service into their own infrastructure, to enter data about the infrastructure, especially log sources that can be generated in the infrastructure, and offers suitable correlation rules, including their naming, to the respective log sources. In addition to logs, SIEM technology and correlation rules, the theoretical part also discusses general knowledge from cyber security and describes the Security Operations Center.
Web application for development and maintenance of SIEM system correlation rules
Bielik, Oliver ; Mikulec, Marek (referee) ; Safonov, Yehor (advisor)
Today’s world of technology is developing rapidly and constantly. Just as quickly, new risks are forming that threaten this sphere. For this reason, technologies need to be monitored and hazards prevented from entering systems. One of the technologies that helps this protection is a system called SIEM. This system serves as an investigative tool that allows security monitoring and investigations to be carried out. Security monitoring is carried out based on the correlation rules that are developed in security operations centers (SOC). Their task is to look for the potential dangers and report them. The main goal of the presented bachelor thesis is to create a tool that allows developers in SOC to easily develop correlation rules. The aim of the application is to simplify development and ensure a better overview of individual correlation rules. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of security monitoring and explains it to the reader. It describes in more detail the functioning of the system and the work of SOC operators, whose job is the development of correlation rules as well. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is aimed at facilitating the development of these rules. The last part of the bachelor thesis is a conclusion, it briefly describes to the reader the observed facts and processing of the requirements for the bachelor thesis.
Battery storage with second life cycle batteries
Král, Dominik ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Procházka, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with problems related to the solution of energy storage. It deals with the analysis of used types of accumulators, deals with their advantages, disadvantages, on what principle they work. It focuses on the possibilities and problems of using batteries in the "Second life" mode. It presents the subsequent process of preparing batteries for further application and defines the tests necessary to evaluate the condition of batteries before further use. Finally, the actual energy storage designs and the block topology of the energy storage are presented.
Demonstration Examples for Pynq Z2 System on Chip Platfrom
Polášek, Patrik ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kekely, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the Pynq Z2 with SoC containing FPGA programmable logic connected to ARM processor. The main goal is to create a set of sample applications that use the peripherals available on the development board and perform critical computations on the FPGA. These applications take the form of a template dividing the functionality into a part communicating with the peripherals and another part implementing the actual computation algorithm. Specific algorithms were chosen from the areas of text search (Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm), image filtering (image color change and smoothing convolution mask), audio signal filtering (low pass), and internet packet classification (decision tree). The algorithms can be replaced with custom ones, while the surrounding interface for communication with the periphery is preserved. In addition to the implementation itself, an interactive Jupyter Notebook document is provided for each application with accompanying material to facilitate understanding of the subject matter.
