Biotechnologické metody v reprodukci skotu
Novotná, Eliška
This bachelor thesis deals with biotechnological methods of cattle reproduction. It is a research from academic articles and literature. In the beginning of this thesis, basic information about reproduction, insemination, and its history is described. The history is followed by a description and explanation of individual methods of searching for heat in cattle. Furthermore, this thesis describes various methods of cattle insemination and the use of embryo transfer, which is compared with the insemination itself. Subsequently, methods of gravidity detection and their use are summarised and described. Finally, the information about the insemination of cattle is summarised.
Hodnocení růstové schopnosti telat plemene hereford ve vybraných stádech masného skotu
BARTŮŇKOVÁ, Lenka
The thesis assesses the factors of growth ability of calves in herds of Hereford beef cattle. Herds of six separate breeders were evaluated throughout the years between 2018 and 2021. The total of 1393 purebred calves were included in the assessment. The data was sorted by sex, year and month of birth of the calves, the father of calves and birth order of the mother. The subject of the observation were weights of the calves at birth and at 120, 210 and 365 days.
Vliv managementu a technologie odchovu telat na výskyt parazitárních onemocnění
PAŘÍZKOVÁ, Petra
Faecal samples were collected from two dairy farms. The influence of management and technology on the incidence of Cryptosporidium and Eimeria infections was investigated. A total of 20 calves from each farm were observed from birth to 16 weeks of age, and faecal samples from each animal were examined weekly. A total of 680 faecal samples were collected and examined. Parasite detection was performed by a combination of standard parasitological microscopic and molecular methods. Infections with C. parvum subtypes IIaA13G1R1 and IIaA17G1R1, C. ryanae subtype XXIc, E. zuernii, E. cylindrica, E. ellipsoidalis, E. bovis, E. auburnensis, and E. subsferica were detected. The cumulative prevalence of C. parvum on the sampled farms was 85 %, and the prevalence of infection was detected at one to four weeks of age. The cumulative prevalence of Eimeria spp. reached 100 % in calves from both monitored farms at 16 weeks of age. Feeding high-quality colostrum with a higher immunoglobulin content reduced the intensity of infections caused by C. parvum. The risk of Eimeria infection increased with the length of time calves remained in the farrowing room when the newborn animals were in contact with older calves. Inadequate technique for raising calves together after weaning resulted in an increased incidence of diarrheal disease.
Reprodukce a management chovu vybraných plemen masného skotu
NÁVAROVÁ, Eliška
The literature review presented in the bachelor thesis focuses on the ma-nagement and characterization of cattle breeding, specifically the Aberdeen Angus, Limousin, and Charolais breeds. The following chapter describes ecological ag-riculture, as the thesis includes companies that breed cattle in organic farming. The upcoming chapter of the thesis centers on the reproduction of beef cattle breeds. The aim of this thesis was to conduct a comprehensive and continuous analysis throughout the year by which to evaluate the level of reproduction and ma-nagement. The practical part focuses on evaluation the course of delivery, pregnancy diagnosis results, weight of calves at birth and weaning, and the results from semen examination. The data for this thesis were collected from six companies using ac-companying lists of cattle, animal husbandry records, and bull spermograms. In the conclusion of the thesis, the results are summarized and evaluated. Companies specializing in Limousin and Charolais breeding include their bulls in herd for approximately two months. The company that focuses on breeding Aberdeen Angus has its bulls in herd for most of the year. More frequent occurrence of difficult births was recorded for the Limousin breed at the Rolnická Skalná company, and their number significantly exceeded the average incidence of complicated births for this breed. A higher incidence of di-fficult births was also analyzed for the Charolais breed at the SPO-ZEM Nový Kos-tel company. The number of difficult births recorded at the company specializing in breeding Aberdeen Angus slightly exceeded the breed's average. The highest success rate of pregnancy was found in the companies SPO-ZEM Nový Kostel, Farmy Třebeň, and Anonymu. The Naturland company achieved unsatisfactory levels of pregnancy rates. Companies breeding Limousin achieved lower birth weights, nonetheless the values were satisfactory. Weaning weights of calves in these companies were suita-ble. Companies focused on breeding Charolais achieved unsatisfactory average birth weight values but excellent weaning weight values. For the Aberdeen Angus breed, satisfactory average weaning weight was achieved for heifers, while the weight of bulls was lower than usual for the breed. From the total of 12 monitored bulls, all were fertile at the beginning of the breeding season, infertility was diagnosed in three bulls, and one bull had a high number of immobile spermatozoa. In these bulls, a treatment was applied, which was found to be effective only in two breeding males after the third collection. Bulls for which the treatment was ineffective were removed from the breeding pro-gram.
The effect of helminth infection on the productivity of beef cattle
BRABCOVÁ, Aneta
The study aimed to observe the effect of the helminth infection on the productivity of beef cattle breeds. Samples of feces were collected from farms in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic from the Highland, Limousine, Aberdeen Angus, Galloway and Beef Simmental breeds. A total of five cattle farms were monitored during the study. Coprological methods confirmed the presence of parasitic nematodes Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei, Cooperia spp. and Chabertia ovina. Due to the low prevalence of these parasites in the monitored cattle farms, there was no weight loss nor reduction in production. The results of the study demonstrated 100% effectiveness of the targeted veterinary treatment.
Příprava datasetů termosnímků paznehtů skotu vhodných pro trénování CNN
ZAHAJSKÝ, Radek
Bachelors work dealing with dataset preparation for CNN training, computer vision and deep neural network learning. Other important aspects are the use of this technology, the different applications, formats and color spaces. The practical part describes the process of image annotation in CVAT software. The work involves individual extraction of information on each subject and comparison of applications and formats. The main result of the work is the creation of a high quality dataset for the identification of dairy cow hooves.
Hodnocení ekonomických ukazatelů výroby mléka
Novotný, Pavel
Bachelor thesis is focused on the topic evaluation of factors affecting the economy of milk production. The basis is based on the description of breeds suitable for milk production. The second part deals with the monetization of milk – parameters for the classification of milk into a quality group, development of milk prices. A part of the work is a description of parameters affecting the cost of milk production, including measures to reduce these costs.
