New trends in road freight transport

This bachelor thesis discusses current trends in road freight transport. It characterizes its fundamental features and analyses current development in the European Union. It also pursues problems of road freight transport, their possible solutions and future development. Intelligent transport systems are widely discussed in connection with increase in road freight transport effeciency.
Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road and by Rail

The goal of the thesis is to sum up the issues of the contract for the international carriage of goods by road and rail comprehensively, from the perspective of the Czech legal system, and to analyze the issues of the electronic consignment notes, to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of their usage, or to asses the barriers for their usage if they are not widely used yet.
Conditions of cargo transportation in the Czech Republic

The main objective of this study is the comparison of the conditions for providing public cargo transport services with company's own transport, based on examples of company subjects in Czech Republic. Study focus on the road cargo and combined road-rail transport as a widespread logistics services. This study is based on structured interviews with managers of companies and questionnaire survey. The surveyed companies were P&V Elektronic s r. o. and FCT Electronics Group. Further cooperation was established with company RÁDL as a provider of public cargo services and from the field of combined road-rail transport informations were provided by company BOHEMIAKOMBI.
Use of Valuation methods for managerial decision of enterprise liquidation ( C.S. Cargo a.s.)

The objective of the thesis is to demonstrate the use of valuation methods as a support for managerial decisions of enterprise liquidation. The thesis includes traditional parts of valuations such as strategic and financial analysis, value drivers analysis, which allow us to confirm or disprove going concern assumption and future liquidation. Finally, we will use valuation methods to determine the optimal timing of enterprise liquidation or possibility of business remediation.
Business strategy in the road freight transport

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the business economics, to assess the current company strategy and to find such a strategy which will result in the overall improvement and maintenance of the position in the market while rendering the given quality of the services not only in a short period of time but also in a long-term one. Another aim was to optimize costs for a longer time horizon.
Czech Electronic Toll System

The goal of the thesis is to give reader a detailed description of the Czech electronic toll system with emphasis to the potential future system development and infrastructure toll extension. The National Transportation Policy, legislative framework concerning the infrastructure tolling, and particular European toll systems are described in the first part of the thesis. Within the other part of the thesis, the reader is given a simplified cost-profit model of future toll extension efficiency to evaluate the optimal outcome of the toll extension.
Improvements of information flows in road haulage

The dissertation thesis works out the problematic of increasing quality in information flow in road haulage. The thesis highlights logistic chains of road haulage of both carload freight and colli deliveries. Research project took place in two divisions of the biggest south bohemian transport company ČSAD JIHOTRANS a.s. The specified quality improvement of information flows comes out from implementation of new information technologies. The dissertation thesis is not only the description of new functions of implemented technologies, but it mainly describes consequential changes, which are necessary to perform in order to reach requested improvements.
Analysis of the haulage market

With the benefit of hindsight we can analyse the expansion of consequences of the financial crisis and its influence in Czech Republic. The goal of the work is focusing on the factors which affect the traffic in Czech Republic. This helps evaluate the situation on the traffic market. I was concentrating on the speed of the economic growth, the government control, the price fluctuation of the costs, the toll and condition of the road infrastructure. After analyse will be deduced the logical conclusion about the road traffic in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part will be compared with practical part -- questionnaire. This act will accomplish the goal of the thesis.

The point of my work is to analyze the transport of dangerous goods in the European Union. In the context of the theme I did a deep description of the problem. I focused on capturing activities that are necessary for the proper and safe transport of hazardous materials to the customer. These activities are part of the whole complex of diverse processes that are necessary to ensure the transport of these shipments.
