Lišková, Iva ; Jesenský, Daniel (advisor) ; Koudelková, Petra (referee)
The Bachelor's thesis entitled "Opportunities for Implementing Multisensory In-store Marketing, Demonstrated by Apple In-store Communication" addresses the marketing possibilities for including all of our senses in a retail store experience. It illustrates those marketing possibilities with current examples of Apple in-store communication. The first theoretical part defines in-store marketing communication, its terminology, provides information about multi sensory marketing and subsequently analyzes each of our senses with the potential for their in-store implementation. In the second part of the theses, theoretical knowledge is used from the first part to describe in-store marketing communication at branded Apple stores, as well as at premium resellers that are found in the Czech Republic, such as iStyle, iSetos, and iWorld. Information about branded Apple stores is gained from literature and on-line sources. Information about premium resellers comes from my own observation and interviews with their employees. The main focus is on the description of the current situation, comparisons and finding new opportunities to implement our senses at in-store marketing communication at Apple stores and their premium resellers.

An application for color coordinate transforms and color mixing
Jurzykowski, Michal ; Štukavec, Radim (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
The most important human sense is sight. We can see thanks to eyes, which are very sensitive on small part of electromagnetic wave. White sunlight contents all the spectrum visible. By decomposition of white sunlight we get colour spectrum. We recognize colours by cones, which are sensitive on red, green and blue spectrum of white light. Informer times it was denited many colour models, which have been using additive and subtractive method od mixing colours. One of the first models which were matemacily defined was CIE 1931, also known as XYZ. Together with this model was created xy chromatic diagram for displaying of colour space. Best known colour models are RGB and CMY. In TV technics is used model YUV. Models HSV and HSL are more intuitiv. This models have three basic parameters: hue, saturation and brightness.

Nursing care of children with selected visual impairments.
DĚDIČOVÁ, Kristýna
The sense of sight is considered to be the fundamental human sense which enables us to perceive three quarters of all impulses and information that we need for our life. Sight is the only sense through which we can accept optical effect. The connection between sight and the central nervous system is equally as complicated as the function of the sense organ itself. A considerable deterioration in quality of sight, or complete loss, always results in a considerable impact on a human life. The theoretical part of this work will concisely analyse the anatomical and physiological aspect of visual perception as well as the characterization of the selected visual handicaps: strabismus, refraction errors (hyperopia, myopia) and blindness. The objects of this work are patients in the children's age, who suffer from the above mentioned handicaps. In consideration of the child's age, nursery care becomes even more difficult with younger patients. The theoretical sections reviewing nursery care are striving to summarize the accessible knowledge of the main principles of care in these particular branches of nursery, whilst the focus of the theoretical section of the report as well as the following research lays in nursery care within children's hospitalization. From the qualitative point of view, problems involved with the care for children with light visual impairment are distinctively separated from those associated with the care for a child with serious impairment. Two objectives were set for this bachelor work: to investigate the specifics of nurse care for visually impaired children at a children's ophthalmology clinic and the approach taken by nurses when dealing with visually impaired children at a common paediatric ward. To determine the objectives of the work were structured three main research questions: What are, from the point of view of nurses, the main specifics in nursing care for a child with light visual impairment? What are, from the point of view of nurses, the main specifics in nursing care for a child with a serious visual impairment? What are the differences between nursing care for a child with visual impairments at ophthalmology clinic and common pediatric ward? In the research section has been applied a qualitative form of the research survey. The qualitative research survey was conducted by the method of semi-structured interview which enabled the respondents to accent particular problems according their own discretion. The open encoding method was used in the processing of the research survey and for the analysis of interviews with nurses. The research survey was being conducted in two hospitals: in Fakultni Nemocnice Motol (Faculty Hospital in Prague - Motol) at its ophthalmic ward for children and adults, and in Nemocnice Pisek (County Hospital in Pisek Town) at a paediatric ward. Five nurses were interviewed at each hospital. According to statements by nurses employed at the hospital in Pisek, it is evident, that the issues of visually impaired children do not constitute a statistical serious problem, when compared to the other definable groups of paediatric patients. Results of the research survey confirm that the main requirement for the care of visual impaired children is a need for permanent communication. The benefit of this bachelor work for a practice of a nurse who works at ordinary paediatric ward could be considered the opportunity to get acquainted with theoretical as well as practical possibilities which are available at the specialized ward at clinic hospital in Prague - Motol. The theoretical section of this work could be used as a reference material for supplementary studies in the branch of treatment for visually impaired child patients.
Generic myths and facts relating to blindness phenomenon
PALETÁŘOVÁ, Renata
This diploma thesis devotes to the questions of general public awareness of themes like visual handicap, integration, the blind and their life in society. The aim was to find out, if fables and distorted images exist, which relate to the phenomenon of amaurosis; to compare the findings regarding the education of informants and also to specify the sources, from which people gather the information of the visual handicap. The thesis also maps the availability of the chosen source of information. The research has shown that people believe the fables and fames which are spread in our society. The most informed in the area of the visual handicap are undoubtedly the informants with university degree education, who gain their knowledge at the university, on the internet or from television. The books, which treat the above mentioned themes, are readily available and a few of them are to be found in every local library.
The proposal of tourism development project - historical complex Klenová
HŘEBCOVÁ, Jaroslava
The primary goal of my thesis is to develop a proposal of a project which would be focused on tourism development of the historical complex of Klenová; this complex is located in the Klatovy district in the region of Pilsen. There are two remarkable sights in this area, a) the ruin of the medieval stronghold of Klenová and b) the chateau of Klenová. Both of these are loosely connected to other historical sights and together they create an interesting face of the typical Czech landscape. Emerging from the executed SWOT analysis and subsequent SWOT matrix, the trouble spots have been identified and they became the source for the definition of strategic underdeveloped areas. These areas are appropriate to focus on and they are a part of the overall strategy. Next, these areas, which are in accord with the objectives of the project, are aimed to eliminate deficits and obstacles in the given locality. The areas in question are as follows: {$\bullet$} Tourism offers concerning products. {$\bullet$} The quality of service. {$\bullet$} Marketing and keeping the visitors informed. {$\bullet$} The infrastructure of tourism. Within the framework of these areas, partial targets have been determined. These targets are the source of consequent strategic measures. There is a certain amount of weaknesses to the castle area of Klenová. One of the major shortcommings is that guests tend to spend a short period of time in the area and that the infrastructure of the tourism is by no means sufficient. Furthermore, the quality of the services provided is below standards and tourists are confronted with lack of information concerning overall services. Finally, tourists are not given a sufficiently wide range of possibilities to spend their free time. The chateau of Klenová is always going to be a most important sight, but some refinements could be put into action to heighten the interest of tourists and to increase competitiveness towards other important sights. To interconnect a couple of cultural and historical sights into a single unit is more attractive for visitors, increasing attendance as well as extending the period of time the tourists are willing to spend in the area. The most effective way to connect sights in a comparatively small area seems to be an educational nature trail leading from one heritage landmark to another. The main goal of this thesis has been accomplished by the creation of a nature trail called "In the steps of ancient times, Klenova {--} Týnec {--} Loreta". The castle, the chateau of Klenová and its surroundings should provide the visitors with a wide range of possibilities to spend their free time. Morever, it should make them actually want to spend their free time in the particular area and make them want to come back. Simultaneously, all existing services should be provided on a satisfactory level while the organizational methodology and management should be improving at the same time.
Light perception in two mole-rat species, the silvery mole-rat \kur{(Heliophobius argenteocinereus)} and the giant mole-rat \kur{(Fukomys mechowii)}.
KOTT, Ondřej
Sight in subterranean mammals living in a dark ecotope has generally been assumed as not needed and therefore greatly diminished in its function. Recent neuroanatomical studies demonstrate unexpected preservation of the visual system of several African mole-rats (Bathyergidae, Rodentia). Only a few behavioural studies, testing visual abilities and discussing their adaptive significance in these rodents, have been published to date. A spontaneous preference to light stimuli of two mole-rat species, the silvery mole-rat (Heliophobius argenteocinereus) and the giant mole-rat (Fukomys mechowii), was tested in this study. Assessed results showed convincingly that both species are able to perceive light. The following experiments provided the first behavioural support to the perception of short-wavelengths in this intensively studied group of subterranean rodents.
