Czechs from Zelów and their contemporary life in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis "Czechs from Zelov and their contemporary life in the Czech republic" makes an attempt to show the process of changes in life and identity of people participating in the return migration from Zelov in Poland (in Polish Zelów) and their descendants. It deals with return migration after the Second World War and next changes in collective identity. Czechs in Zelov built their identity on the connection of religious and language-and-ethnic awareness. They came to Zelov in 1803 from Silesia, where they were from 1740s as religious emigrants. The thesis also includes this history of the migration and life in Zelov. Than the thesis presents outcomes of field research, which took place from October 2011 - to February 2012. The research supposes that the descendants are now interested in their history and traditions of Zelov. The example of interest is citizens association Exulant. The research is consisted of interviews and questionnaires from nine protestants parishes in the Czech republic. They show that these people declare they are not interested in Zelov. On the other hand, observations and pastor's point of view indicate that the life of them is influenced by Zelov in many directions. Conflict in Northern Ireland: from the causes of the conflict to the peace process

This bachelor thesis focuses on the long-time conflict in Northern Ireland, specifically on the causes of the conflict and the development of the peace process. The aim of the work is to clarify the character of the Northern Ireland conflict, when using the cleavage theory of Stein Rokkan. Factors that affected the emergence of the conflict and meant the failure of the peace process are observed. The first part is historically-based and describes the development of the events in Northern Ireland from the 12th century to the island division (1921) thereby it brings preconditions for the emergence of the conflict closer to readers. On the basis of the Northern Ireland political parties the second part explains which cleavages formed the conflict. The third part gives the results of the peace process and presents reasons of its failure.
Religious and ethical dimension of conflict in Northern Ireland

This thesis presents the problematic of Northern Ireland, long-time conflict between Catholics and Protestants, their practices which are used for achieving their goals and the attitude of church to the whole conflict. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter, there are described the conflicts of the history view which caused the subsequent escalation of the conflict in ?The Trouble? period. The second chapter focuses on terrorist?s influence and the way of guerilla war of paramilitary groups and their complex description. The third chapter depicts religious dimension of the conflict and the pronouncement of Pope John Paul II to incidents in Northern Ireland. The fourth chapter delimits the moral good and evil in the context of Ten Commandments, as a moral basic element of mankind. This chapter also concentrates on the problematic of the just-doctrine war view.
History of the Baptists in Sokolov from its beginnings to the end of 20 century

The Bachelor thesis deals with the development of Baptist Union churches not only in the former Czechoslovakia, but individual local churches in Cheb, Sokolov and Kraslice. In the first part are answered doctrinal point of view, what Baptists believe. Then there is the answer, what personalities and movements Baptist Union was affected. The second part is an excursion in the specific events of Baptist congregations. The largest part of this thesis is primarily a comprehensive overview of the history of Baptist Church in Sokolov in the range of this meeting until the end of the 20th century. Sources from which we drew the Chronicle staff BJB in Kraslice in Cheb, just as we serve the testimony of witnesses who were partakers in the affairs of churches in the last century.
