The Elimination of the Private Enterprices, Small and Medium Sized Enterpreneurs, in Czechoslovakia between 1948-1953

Diploma thesis "The elimination of the Private Enterprises, Small and Medium Sized Entrepreneurs, in Czechoslovakia between 1948-1953" is focused on the period after the February 1948, which dates the power takeover by Communistic party of Czechoslovakia, and deals with one feature of change of the Czechoslovak economy, especially the elimination of the private sector, and arising of the socialistic sector as the only segment of the national economy. The thesis reveals the change in communistic attitude toward the private entrepreneurship in 1945-1949, and steps which it took against the private entrepreneurs. Moreover, the thesis describes acting of state authorities and other institutions which played important role in the whole process. It also detects the way which was used for joining the private small and medium sized enterprises into the socialistic sector or the way how they were eliminated in 1948-1953. The whole process is embedded into a broader historical background. The research includes three levels. Human trafficking: the role of the EU and the approaches to the problem in Czech Republic and in Belgium

This master thesis aims to unveil and examine the interplay between different actors in the fight against human trafficking. These are: the European Union, the Czech Republic and Belgium. A content (text) analysis of the primary sources gives the answers on how those actors work with the definition of human trafficking and to what extent the two member states implemented the EU Directive 2011/36/EU and other documents. In addition to conducting the content (text) analysis, creating a literature review and researching on different discourses linked to this phenomenon, this thesis include two semi-structured interviews with the representatives of the Czech Republic and Belgium. Those offer deeper insight into how those states form this fight in practice. They unveiled different aspects in their own approaches but also aspects that make their approach unique. This thesis examines also how the new strategy - the most important document framing the fight against human trafficking and the country's priorities - is adopted and what generally will those strategies include from the year 2020.

Czech Development Cooperation Policy and the Private Sector: Key Discourses between 1995 and Today

The private sector is an integral part of the global mainstream political development discourse. It appears in different contexts that define its roles in the field of development cooperation policy and therefore imply diverse political actions. The thesis analyses the Czech development discourse in connection with the private sector from 1995 until today. Based on the method of discourse analysis of the outputs of relevant development stakeholders the research identifies four different types of development discourse in relation to the private sector: "The private sector - a taboo", "We pay, we want Czech enterprises in development cooperation", "The private sector, the careless destructor", "The private sector, the darling of the development cooperation policy stakeholders." Out of the discourses identified, every type is typical for a specific time period as well as a specific set of stakeholders employing the discourse. Generally, until the Czech accession to the EU, the private sector does not seem to be an important element of the governmental development discourse since the theme is practically absent. This changes with the global economic crisis and even more notably after 2015 when generally all of the relevant development actors, including the traditionally very critical NGO sector,...

Management Functions in Public Administration

This work explores managerial functions and their use in the public sector. The primary focus is on the four following functions: planning, organizing, decision making and communication. The subject of the work is a specific labor office. To emphasize the focus on the target area, the work also analyzes the differences between public and private sector both in theory and in practice. The data was collected through conducting interviews with several managers of the labor office on different management levels. The interviews took place at the labor office with a set time limit and questions that were prepared in advance. The intended purpose of this work is to create and suggest plausible changes for the betterment of the system based on the collected data from the interviews. The result focuses on tailoring changes fitting specifically for the subject while taking the reality such as legal and political limitations into consideration.

Cooperation of public and private sphere in construction sector

The diploma thesis deals how public sector co-opete with private one. The are explain the types of cooperation and the reasons why they are used or not. In the beginning are defined the main terms used later in this thesis, those definitions are based on the datas from the books. The second part, practical part, is focused on evaluation of the respondents’s answers, which have been gotten from questionnaire. There are used also my personal opinions and experience in the practical part. In the final part there is decribed current cooperation those sectors and there are given the recommendations for improving their relationships.
