Nearly Zero-Energy Building Retrofitting: Case Study of a Conventional Single-Family House in Denmark
Wawerka, Robert ; Skotnicová,, Iveta (referee) ; Kalousek, Miloš (referee) ; Petráš,, Dušan (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
This doctoral thesis proposes a new method of energy retrofitting of existing residential buildings towards nearly zero-energy status. The topic of energy retrofitting of existing buildings is widely discussed and lamented within the European Union and the Member states and is enshrined in the Directive 2010/31/EU. This research is in line with the European Union strategy Europe 2020 which sets targets for climate change and energy sustainability. The thesis describes the study of building energy performance of a pilot energy retrofitted residential building towards nearly zero-energy where progressive design technologies, such as energy modelling, monitoring, building optimisation and verification were used. This case study helped to formulate the recommendations on the effectiveness of various passive and active design methods together with renewable energy systems and after the extensive research it contributes to model and verify the future expectation and energy efficiency requirements of the residential market.
The comparison of productivity of prefabrication and erection of pipe spools conected by arc welding
Hráček, Jan ; Bednář, Karel (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis of a Master´s distant study program of M-STM Machinery technolofy and industrial design specialization proposes more efficient and quicker way of assembeling pipe technology systems using prefabrication of so called SPOOL "figure" in advance. The thesis proposes and from the technical-economical point of view assesses ways of manufacturing and proceeding the workshop weldings on pipe systems. While construction and design the programes of Areva and Autodesk companies were used.
Realizační dokumentace vybrané dřevostavby
Bábíček, Jakub
Stated thesis deals with a detached house production and implementation documentation devising based on an issued building permit. The thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and supplementary one which is constructed for the purposes of Dřevostavby Milotice, s. r. o. contractor’s firm and based on which the graphic realization same as required documentation grade of particularity are elaborated resulting in production and assembly documentation in its entirety. The theoretical part is focused on panel construction production and assembly procedures furthermore embracing developed constructional details catalogue serving as a basis for the contractors’ firm realization. Taking the grade of the supplied construction into account, submitted theses is aimed at the constructional part of the wooden house, not at the final work including contact weatherize system or inner works. Furthermore, all static appraisals of constitution parts were conducted in terms of the contractor’s firm. Eventually, bracing load capacity of wall frameworks appraisal was determined simultaneously the appraisal of specific components imprints was performed.
I Am The One Who's Gonna Steal Your Job
Ilič, Risto ; Houser, Milan (referee) ; Mazanec, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis I Am The One Who's Gonna Steal Your Job deals with the transitional period in the life of a young artist who dreams of career realization in his field. He thinks about how to achieve this when he realizes that even a less established painters can often sell their paintings for thousands of czech crowns, because paintings can be easily commodified and, as a result, placed in the interior. He thus decides to leave his area of practice and tries to get into the market with traditional artistic media with the help of artificial intelligence and marketing. He doesn't go far for visual inspiration, as he tries to recycle and distort photos (so-called visual smog) of a corner store on the other side of the street. The thesis deals with the issue of the emergence of artificial intelligence in the field of visual arts and with the eternal question of the ethics of the authorship of a work of art and its authenticity. It also deals with the question of the employment of art school graduates. Therefore, the work does not only provide a subversive analysis of the art market but also a reflection of the position of the artist participating in this market.
Optimization of green roof construction
Hejl, Martin ; Bečkovský, David (referee) ; Vranayová,, Zuzana (referee) ; Mohapl, Martin (advisor)
The dissertation deals with mapping the current situation in the formation of layers of flat vegetation roofs. The work describes in detail the current technology of construction of green roofs. There are also chapters devoted to the analysis of the financial and time intensity of the construction of green roofs and the determination of working standard hours for the construction of an extensive green roof. Another goal of this dissertation is to optimize the construction process of construction of green extensive roofs, which was achieved by creating a new type of prefabricated ecological extensive panel for the construction of green roofs. This panel, as well as the course of its construction in the work is described in detail and then compared with the classic extensive layer in terms of construction time, retention and technological process designed for the construction of the green roof itself.
The panel housing estate Brno Bohunice - public space and its sustainability
Spilková, Klára ; Tichý, Jan (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis deals with the panel housing estate Brno Bohunice built in 1972 – 1989. A special attention is devoted to public space between the Moldavska and Ukrajinska streets. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis outlines the history of panel housing estates from their inception to the present. Further, it deals with public space and regeneration of panel housing estates. There follows an overview of the panel housing estate Bohunice and its brief development. The practical part focuses on an analysis of the selected area. On this basis the urban concept of regeneration of the defined area is articulated. The aim of the proposal is to create functional and sustainable public space in the area of the panel housing estate Bohunice. The aim of the thesis is to outline the complex issues of public spaces of panel housing estates and the possibilities of their improvement.
Shape optimization and subsequent verification of the strength of wood-straw panels
Škrachová, Ivana ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on shape optimization and then on determining of strength of straw bane panels. The thesis aims to maximize the load-bearing capacity of the panels and using static calculation and laboratory testing to prove usability of panels in construction of buildings. From the acquired maximal load values for each panel the technical data sheets were created. Values in the technical data sheets were evaluated on FEM model of a simple house. The model proved applicability and reliability of straw bane panels in construction of buildings.
Cable-stayed pedestrian bridge over the river
Ilčík, Jakub ; Sliwka, Pavel (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this masters thesis is a design of a suspended pedestrian bridge over a watercourse. There are two variants designed, one of which is selected for static analysis. The chosen variant is a suspended pedestrian bridge with an inclined „A“ shaped pylon situated on one bank and deck made of prefabricated segments. The cross-section is designet to allow the transfer of both pedestrian and bycicle traffic. Thesis contains structural design of construction modeled in SCIA Engineer and checked in IDEA Statica. Design and assessment are acordign to the current European standarts.
