Humour in the Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde

This bachelor thesis examines the use of humour in the fairy tales of Oscar Wilde, which is usually overlooked in these texts. The theoretical part based on secondary sources introduces the author and his output in the context of the authored fairy tale genre and its contemporary literary works. It describes different kinds of humour and comic with regard to their use in children's literature and their use in the works of Oscar Wilde. The practical part focuses on Wilde's fairy tales, where it localizes and describes the elements of humour and comic used and analyses selected parts of the text.
The story of Hansel and Gretel in preschool children´s pictures

The bachelor thesis deals with The story of Hansel and Gretel in preschool children´s pictures. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists of three main chapters. The first chapter introduces preschool age mainly trough various developmental concepts, it also deals with the topic of the family. The second chapter is devoted to the artistic expression of children and the stages of its developement. The last chapter discusses about the theme of fairy tales, different versions of the fairy tale The story of Hansel and Gretel and their psychological aspects. The practical part is looking for common characters in the artistic processing of the fairy tale, a typical representation of this fairy tale by preschool children. It also focuses on the part of the story that children choose and seeks a possible connection between the symbolic meanings of the fairy tale and personal, sibling, family or other issues. Given the small and unrepresentative sample of participants, the results of this work cannot be generalized, but the conclusions of the thesis may serve as a topic for further studies.
Contribution of fairy tales for preschool children

The topic of the thesis is The benefits of fairy tales for preschool children. The objective of the thesis is to find out how children perceive the message of the induvial fairy tales. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter it deals with the fairy tale, its definition, development, types and its motives. The second chapter deals with the benefits of fairy tales for a preschool child, especially with how the child understands and perceives fairy tales. For this purpose, I analyzed four classical fairy tales where I also mentioned their psychological significance for a preschool child. In the third chapter I remind that preschool age is a foundation for future reading. The practical part contains the suggestion and realization of the weekly project of two fairy tales: Little Red Riding Hood and Gingerbread House. During the realization I was trying to find out which messages children perceive in fairy tales.
Reflection of sibling relationship in art production

The bachelor thesis explores the possibilities of using art therapy elements in the relationships between siblings. The work is divided between a theoretical and a practical section. The theoretical part defines nuances in siblings' relationships, siblings' constellations, and fairytales. The work focuses on the fairytale Gingerbread house, which provides a base point for the fieldwork with respondents. The tale's history and interpretation potential are explored. The practical section provides an overview of the art therapy fieldwork with 5 respondents. It describes the used data collection methods and elaborates on instructions given to respondents for their individual artwork. In the section dedicated to case studies, 4 respondent cases are explored. It aggregates information collected during the interviews with respondents and compares them to the content, that is possible to find in their paintings.
Silent Book - Use of Art Therapy with Primary School Children (especially for children who have communication problems )

The bachelor's thesis aims to use a therapeutical potential of fairy tales (fairy tale stories) by using the silent book for children in elementary school (especially children with communication disorders). The work has theoretical and practical content. The theoretical part maps the role of fairy tales in relation to children and childhood in general. It also mentions the gradual development of children's drawing with a greater focus on younger school age. I also mention an art crisis during children art development, due to the start of school attendance in the first grade of elementary school. The work describes a specific school environment. The practical part contains description of whole process of working with children, my goals I set up at the beginning and it´s realization. Also there is a clarification of the methods I used, as well as practical experience and case studies of two children. The text is supplemented by a pictorial appendix.
Media in the lives of preschool children

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of media and how the media interfere with the lives of children. The theoretical part focuses on what the media are, what it brings to people and how they influence them and their behavior. It introduces us to media functions and several terms from this field. The aim of the practical part is to find out how much time children spend on television or with other media, what attitude their parents take and also how the media experiences are reflected in the themes of games and creation of these children. It includes a questionnaire survey of parents of children from one class, observation of games and drawings of children in the classroom and more detailed monitoring of two selected children.
The use of fairy rale themes with a focus on sibling relationship with elementary school pupils from socially disadvantaged families

The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of fairy tale themes with a focus on the sibling relationships of five children aged 10-11 years from socially disadvantaged families. The main focus of interest is to compare children's statements about their relationship to siblings and their reflection in their pictures, specifically in pictures of fairy tales with sibling themes. The theoretical part contains the description of the theoretical basis, which forms the basis for the practical part. The practical part is focused on the interpretation of pictures of selected children and finding connections with their statements.
Topic of Little red riding hood processed by children of school age

The bachelor thesis deals with the artistic rendering of the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood. The work is divided into two parts. The introduction to the theoretical part of the work presents art therapy as a science that works in a specific way with artistic expression, especially in relation to knowledge of fine arts and developmental psychology. For this purpose, fairy-tale themes are also used. A separate chapter is devoted to the fairy tale About Little Red Riding Hood, as well as the characteristics of the period of adolescence. The content of the practical part is mixed research. The result of the quantitative survey is the division of artifacts into categories according to the predominant motive. The result of the qualitative part of the work are case studies, which include the application of interpretive procedures in the context of interviews conducted with the authors of artifacts and their art teacher.
Topic of Hansel and Gretel processed by children of school age

The aim of the thesis is to examine the sibling relationships of 6th grade pupils of a specific primary school. The theoretical support of the research is developed into chapters. The theoretical part begins by clarifying important concepts such as art therapy, artefiletics, etc. The next chapter is devoted to fairy tales at a general level. The meaning is emphasized to their importance in human life, their structure and function. Then a fairy tale about the Hansel and Gretel is developed. Its plot and the meaning of individual symbols are briefly described. The fourth chapter summarizes the specifics of adolescence from the perspective of developmental psychology. It summarizes the changes that take place during puberty regarding physical, mental and social development. The chapter concludes with a short part, where the importance of family, peers and siblings for adolescents is emphasized. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to sibling constellations according to Leman. The practical part includes combined research, where the qualitative part contains interpretations of participants' pictures in terms of selected formal aspects. The case studies are presented in the qualitative part. Each of them was created based on the interpretation of the image and an interview with its author.
The use of art therapy in the care of patients with neurotic problems

The bachelor's thesis is aimed at the issue of neurotic complaints that patients hospitalized at the department of psychotherapy have to deal with. The objective of the thesis is to point out the possibilities of application of project-intervention art therapy methods and procedures in working with the patient, for which interpretation of artefacts created by him/her is used and to explore the possibilities of using biblical and fairy tale themes in this context. The text is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The first part deals with the definitions of some essential terms, such as art therapy, neurosis, identity, fairy tales and theories based on depth psychology. The second part is implemented through the method of a qualitative research in a personal case study. We are searching for connections between patient's complaints, his/her artistic representation and interpretation of the resulting artefacts. Attention is further paid to changes in artistic expression of the patient.
