Economic efficiency of public investment project

This bachelor thesis focuses at the economic efficiency of a public investment project, which is evaluated by a cost-benefit analysis. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to the issue and describes the process of evaluating a public project used in a case study. The case study evaluates a construction project of a new lookout tower on Velká Deštná in the Orlické hory. The financial and economic analysis was performed based on the identified input values. Another element was the sensitivity analysis in order to reveal the risk factors of the project.

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of evalution the implementation of technical structure in Brno metropolitan area. First part deals with the programming period 2014–2020, next part is about description of the Structural Funds and operational programs. The end of theoretical part is focused on describing territorial integrated investments. In practical part you can find evaluation of preparation of implementation of technical structure selected in municipalities of Tišnov and Brno.
Evaluation of the Qualitative Benefits of the Development Project Co-financed by the EU

The first part of my work focuses on the theoretical description of EU regional policy, its evolution and the description and the objectives of the different programming periods. In this part of the work is also described which EU funds are being used for co-financing of different goals. Furthermore I define all operational programs which can be used to draw funds to provide grants. These information are necessarry to choose the right operational program to use. For the particular project co-financed from the European Union, I present an economic analysis of the project and a questionnaire survey which I use to do a qualitative assessment of the project and its help for the development of the region.

This diploma thesis focuses on the EU structural funds and their utilization in the development of municipal infrastructure. The thesis starts by introducing the theoretical knowledge which is followed by analysis of the status quo. Finally, it elaborates concrete proposal for financing of large investment project in a small village. The results should help municipal council to realize the possibilities of municipal budget in the implementation of extensive investments and as the basis for decision making of the method of financing.

Goal is to find out what kind of subsidies can company gain for her growth as well as growth of its employees. What does it need to do to obtain them, what requirements it must meet and to find out (by usage of calculations) whether it will be beneficial for the company. Mainly subsidies programmes from european structural and investment funds will be analyzed in this thesis.

This thesis describes the origins and developement of The European union. The caracteristics of its organizational structure are discussed as well, followed by a summary of the developement of the structural policy of the EU and its effects on regions within EU member states. A description of how the structural policy of Czech Republic developed, both before and after admission to the EU, will conclude the theoretical portion of this thesis. Empirical section of the thesis focuses on the Pavlov Archeological Park project, which was predominantly financed through The European Fund of Regional Development.

The introduction of the theoretical part describes the history of EU and the formation of regional policy. Then it characterizes main goals, instruments and programmes of the regional policy. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the completed project „Level crossings in the track section Frýdlant nad Ostravicí – Ostravice“, which was co-funded by the European Union under the Operational Programme Transport.

In the theoretical part, the history of the European Union is described along with its primary information, and also the history of cohesion policy development. It also describes regional policies of the Czech Republic, its preparations to be part of the EU and also the following participation on three operational programs. Practical part includes the realization of the project Centrální dopravní terminál a Parkoviště P+R, which is confounded by the European Union.
