This thesis deals with the current situation of organic production, and availability of organic food in the Olomouc Region. The theoretical part defines the key concepts that are related to the main theme of the thesis, i.e. fundamental principles of organic farming and organic food production. This part also describes the current situation on the Czech organic food market. The practical part introduces the basic characteristics of the Olomouc Region along with the current situation of organic farming in this region. Furthermore, this part includes an analysis of ecological subjects operating in the Olomouc Region, and price monitoring of selected items. Lastly, the summary addresses all findings. There is good potential for further development of organic farming and organic food production in the Olomouc Region.

Road safety inspection in the 0lomouc region

The diploma thesis focuses on a road safety inspection of selected intersections in Olomouc Region. The first step of the diploma thesis was to select 20 intersections, then each one was subjected to accident analysis. The intersections were compared by accident indicators, which were the basis of selection 11 intersections for visual inspection purposes. Based on visual inspections, the selection was further reduced to 4 intersections in Olomouc Region, which were subjected to detailed road safety inspection, then the potential risks influencing the origins of accident were identified and corrective measures were proposed in order to remove or eliminate the intersections problems.

In this diploma thesis is described problematic of regional competitiveness issue. In the theoretical part is defined region as the main actor of regional development and its funding possibilities. In the practical part is described Olomouc region supplemented by SWOT analysis. Competitiveness of the region is achieved by statistical variables from different sectors.

Evaluation of specific factors in the valuation of agricultural land in conditions of the Czech republic

This dissertation is focused on the identification and evaluation of specific factors affecting the price of agricultural land. It should be mentioned that the market for agricultural land, especially arable land and permanent grasslands, is not fully developed in the Czech Republic and this area is not fully explored. The thesis describes the factors on the basis of which the investor decides when buying these plots. The data needed for this work have been obtained from professional literature, real estate servers, two polls, actual sales, etc. In the conclusion of this thesis all findings are summarized and evaluated. It includes the development of prices in the years 2014 – 2016 based on sales actually realized in the Olomouc Region, Moravian – Silesian Region, South Moravian Region and Vysočina Region. The outcome of the thesis is a proposal of an expert standard. It is necessary to realize that, above all, agricultural land is a specific commodity, as it is unreproducible, indivisible and its offer is limited.

School media-press,radio,internet:on an example of the "Olomouc" region

School media create specific territory of media landscape. However in certain circumstances, they can be considered as organisational media, which forms a part of civil media sector, or as alternative media. School media create from school peculiar type of public sphere too. School media production has quite long tradition in the Czech environment. First school media have a form of school or class magazines, which have appeared in the mid of 19th century. At the beginning, they were made from initiative of pupils and students. Their closeness to school has been changed and influenced by school experience and political situation through time. As a result, publishing of school magazines has been supported, tolerated, afflicted, and subordinated to supervision. Production media output as a part of incipient form of media education has not appeared until 80s of 20th century. The spectra of school media has extended after the November 1989. Firstly, the organisation of independent school radio and television broadcasts has started, besides school and class magazines and occasional student's broadcasts in school radio. Diploma thesis "School media - press, radio, television, internet: on example of regions of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem" deals with school media production of pupils and students of primary and secondary education focusing on the Czech environment. The whole issue is framed within media literacy, media education. Moreover, the interpretation accents with its direction of production. The most important chapters of historical-theoretical part introduce the outline of the school media development from the beginning till nowadays. Practical part characterizes school media in the regions of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem. The research survey is mainly focused on the occurrence of school media production, forms of their outputs and characteristics of individual types of school media. What is more, the survey is also interested in current trends in publishing of school and class magazines and their theme and genre profile. Survey summarizes reasons, which impedes realization of school media production. Finally, on account of compile findings and data, it deduces a school media typology, criteria of their possible categorisation and includes them into the media system. Change trajectories of wood pastures using landscape metrics

This work is processed in a form of study on a topic of description of change trajectories in a historical development of woody pastures in selected areas of Moravian Silesian region and Olomouc region, Czech Republic. There were chosen 6 cadastrals of stable cadastral in the study areas. These were studied for the change trajectories between the 19. and 21. century. The analysis were processed in geographic information systems with usage of landscape metric methods. The main goal of this work is description, interpretation and explanation of change trajectories of woody pastures in studied areas. This work also shows the interactions between changes in the landscape and the character of the landscape.
The first part discusses definitions and descriptions of woody pastures in general and also brings the newest information of the studied topic. The main part of this work is the study itself.
The main benefits of this work lies mainly in describtion of the changes in development of the woody pastures in the studied areas. The information and data obtained may contribute to better understanding of the ways of historical development of woody pastures. Obtained data will be used for future studies on a level of whole Czech republic.

Analýza demografických ukazatelů Olomouckého kraje

The theme of this diploma thesis is analysis of demographic trends of Olomouc Region in the period 2002--2012. This analysis follows the development of demographic indicators related population, mortality, birth rate, marriage rate, divorce rate and migration. Then we perform the comparison of these parameters with the development of the region in the Czech republic in the same time period. An appropriate trend fiction was used to predict the development of selected demographic indicators up to 2017. The analysis of Olomouc Region I chose because of the lack of analysis in the microregion development strategy.
