Expansion Module with Touch LCD Display for Educational Minerva Platform
Nemček, Oliver ; Nevoral, Jan (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this Master thesis is create an expansion module with TFT touch screen display for educational Mierva platform. Low level driver and graphical user interface library will be developed for this module. GUI library enables user to design an graphical application in easy way.
Emulator of Amiga A500 Home Computer in FPGA
Biberle, Zdeněk ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work takes a look at existing hardware reimplementations of the Amiga 500 home computer and examines the possibility of implementing a similar solution based on the Minerva a and Pipistrello development platforms. The result of this work is an emulator od the Amiga 500 based on a combinator of both platforms.
Risk analysis of implementation of system QAD
Šrubař, Jan ; Svatá, Vlasta (advisor) ; Juříček, Jan (referee)
This thesis deals with ERP systems, especially risk analysis of implementation of QAD. In the first part I will deal mainly with the introduction of the concept of ERP systems, including its history and latest trends, showing the biggest players on the Czech and world market for ERP systems. Then I will describe ERP system of American company QAD as well as the distributor system of Minerva for Czech Republic and Slovakia. At the conclusion of the theoretical part I will mention a general description of the main risks of the project information system implementation and a description of the methodology of implementation of the ERP system by QAD. Also, I describe main risk of information system implementation project and risk governance according to COBIT methodology. In the end, I describe implementation methodology of ERP system by QAD company. The practical part focuses on the implementation of the ERP system of the American company QAD in two specific enterprise. This section will assess risks of these projects, both in terms of expected risk and in terms of the risks beyond in excess of those expected. It will evaluate the most important general factors for successful implementation of both the projects. I also created a map of all the risks identified for each project.
Universal Bootloader for Kinetis K60 Microcontroller
Krůpa, Tomáš ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The scope of this work was to design a bootloader for Kinetis K60, an ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller. The bootloader should simplify the process of loading user applications to the flash memory of the microcontroller on the Minerva development kit. Based on a quick research of existing bootloader solutions, new bootloader was designed together with communication protocol that would suit the needs for transfer of both the file data and configuration information through all the supported communication interfaces - USB, SDHC, Ethernet and RS-232. On the PC side, development of bootloader’s application library and two supporting utilities with graphical and command line interfaces was made. The system can be used out of the box as well as it can be further extended in the future.
System for Programming Minerva Platform
Dohnal, Michal ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Bidlo, Michal (advisor)
Theoretical part of this thesis studies several concepts and interfaces being used for programming microcontrollers (MCUs) and reconfiguration of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with closer look at those, which are available for MCU Kinetis K60 and FPGA Spartan-6 in circuitry given by the architecture of educational kit Minerva. This knowledge is employed in practical section which describes deployment of the supporting firmware belonging to group of firmwares so-called bootloaders. Finally the application QDevKit3 is introduced, that is based on this firmware, representing effective and fast way for easy programming of FLASH memory on Kinetis MCU using USB interface.
Library for Communication between Kinetis K60 Microcontroller and SD Card
Nemček, Oliver ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of the Bachelor's thesis is to design and build library for communication with SD card. Target platform of library is a development board with Kinetis K60 microcontroller by Freescale Semiconductors. The library implements SD host controller driver, which is embedded in microcontroller. Interface of the library must be easy to use. Functionality is demonstrated by sample application for communication with SD card.
