It mainly focuses on establishing a way the company can sustain and improve its current competitive position in the market. The results of the analysis in this thesis should be able to come up with measures that can help the company improve its sales promotion strategy in its area of activity – energy drinks. These measures should be the basis for its competitiveness and sustaining its position in the market.

The bachelor’s thesis deals with communication with media and public at emergencies. The fundamental topic are the emergencies, their definitions, classification and the fact, that emergencies occur more frequently and attract public and media attention. Communication is the next presented topic as well as its classification, function and barriers to communicate effectively. Further part is devoted to general characteristics of media, its role in contemporary society and impact on the public. One part also pays attention to the media behaviour and journalistic ethics. The next part characterizes methods of population warning at emergencies, which are available for the government as well as the methods how media are informed at emergencies. Therefore state administration need experienced people having knowledge about emergencies, communication with the public and media, being able to present these problems adequately.

Rovněž jsou analyzovány genderové stereotypy, jež se objevují v soudobé reklamě na různé druhy produktů.
The Segmentation of Ultrasound Images for Artery Wall Detection and Intima-Media Thickness Measurement

The thesis focuses on the measurement of intima media thickness, which seems to be a significant marker of the risk of cardiovascular events. Intima media thickness is measured in ultrasound image displaying the common carotid artery in its longitudinal section. In the longitudinal section the intima and media layers are visible. Thesis is discussing both technical and medical background and summarizes state of the art in this field. The main part of the thesis describes the novel automatic system for measurement of intima media thickness. Proposed system includes also robust method for artery localization and therefore is able to process raw B-mode data from ultrasound station without any initialization or manual preprocessing.

Bachelor's thesis focuses on the reflection of the current romanticization of nature and rural life, reflected in the internetcore subculture cottagecore, which it examines more thoroughly. It works with the escapism contained in it, the tendency towards idyll and the creation of an artificial safe-space, while it transfers these factors into a medium on the border of textile, painting and object. It tries to evoke a certain self-reflection in the viewer and to show him a different view of the issues related to the mentioned topics.

Presented diploma paper named “Proposal of Communication Strategy“deals with an analysis of university students and suitable media for targeting. The first part is focused on description of the latest knowledge and trends in this field. In the second part the current media market analysis, analysis of product for which is communication strategy designated for and analysis of university students as target group. The main part of this study represents a suggestion of alternative communication channels which are part of communication strategy. A case study concerning executed campaigns targeted to students follows.

Selected contemporary ethical issues of journalists'self-branding in the era of digital media network

This thesis examines the impact of the process of personal branding in the era of networked digital media on the Czech media scene. With the emergence of new technologies and social networks, society and media have undergone significant transformations, which have led, for example, to changes in the norms of the journalistic profession. The paper focuses on the process of branding in journalism and identifies ethically controversial aspects related to this phenomenon. The analysis of a research sample of Czech journalists reveals diverse approaches to branding. At the same time, it highlights the changes in the perception of the journalistic profession and the penetration of non-media elements into the journalistic field. The study also describes what challenges and opportunities this activity brings. It also points out the shortcomings of ethical standards and the absence of approaches that would reflect the new media reality. Despite its many limitations, the work presents the reality of contemporary journalism and provides a starting point for further exploration of this phenomenon in the Czech space.
