Optimization and use of standardized manufacturing routines for the Common Rail Flange production of high pressure pumps.
Doležal, Jan ; Prokop, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Objective of the Project of optimization and introduction of standardized procedures in flange production is to plan, determine and introduce optimal procedures based on time scan and MTM analysis; to determine standards, to establish standardized procedures for multi -machine operation and visual control and to train personnel according to new procedure. Project is expected to stabilize process, decrease work in process production, improve quality and increase volume of flange production to 2200 pieces per day for one production line. Furthermore to provide comparison of standardization influence on operations in flange production process, to perform quantitative analysis of several working instructions on visual control workplaces by statistics method (R&R study).
Tool for Automatic Subtitle Alignment
Chudý, Daniel ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The main motivation of this work is to simplify the retiming of subtitles, where the inputs are the original and edited video files and subtitles corresponding to the original video. Example – a video editor needs to cut a scene from a video. Subtitles that correspond with the clipped part of the video must be manually removed and the subtitle part that follows the clipped part must be manually re-timed. The tool makes this work easier by automating it. From an arbitrarily edited version of the video file (cuts), the original file and the original subtitles, a version of subtitles will be created that fits the edited version of the video file. Simply put, the goal is to align the original subtitles with the edited video file. The solution is the conversion of video files to audio files (.wav, wavfile), extraction of MFCC (Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients) and subsequent mutual comparison with the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm. From the alignment path (DTW output), signal differences (cuts in the video) are detected and subtitles are adjusted based on them. A dataset was created to test the application consisisting of public domain films and own recordings. The created application provides 69 – 90 % subtitle alignment success on a dataset that contains videos of length 1 – 60 minutes.
Design of internal MSA methodology in the company
Tesařová, Tereza ; Sámelová, Vendula (referee) ; Maradová, Karla (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design suitable procedures for the internal MSA methodology, by means of which a company operating in the automotive industry determines the acceptability of a measurement system. The thesis contains a brief description and comparison of MSA, VDA 5 and ČSN ISO 22514-7 methodologies. It focuses in more detail on the evaluation of acceptability according to the MSA methodological manual. The tools for statistical data evaluation are also compared. The output of the work is an internal methodology with procedures for quantitative and qualitative data, with their analysis and statistical evaluation using selected software.
Application of Diffusion Tensor Imaging to Brain Gray and White Marker
Rulseh, Aaron Michael ; Vymazal, Josef (advisor) ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Hájek, Milan (referee)
Application of Diffusion Tensor Imaging to Brain Gray and White Ma er A In the present work we explore the gray and white ma er applicability of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). To evaluate effect of ferritin-bound iron on gray ma er contrast in DTI, we created an in vitro model consisting of agarose gel phantoms doped with ferritin, and validated our results in vivo on healthy volunteer subjects - years of age in the basal ganglia. We further explored the application of DTI to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple system atrophy (MSA); neurodegenerative diseases with gray and white ma er pathophysiological components. In the ALS study, patients and age- and sex-matched controls were recruited, while the MSA study included probable MSA subjects ( MSA-P, MSA-C) and age- and sex-matched controls. We found that ferritin-bound iron may make a signi cant contribution to DTI scalars in gray ma er regions of the brain, mediated by eigenvalue repulsion. is has important implications for DTI studies targeting gray ma er regions, especially in adolescence and in diseases associated with altered brain-iron load. In ALS, we found altered diffusion in the corona radiata and callosal body, and changes in R in the caudate nucleus and frontal white ma er. In MSA, we observed widespread white ma er changes associated...
Design of inspection procedure for selected revolver components
Úlehlová, Eva ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
The goal of this master’s thesis was design of the inspection procedure for hammer and trigger of the specific revolver model. Thesis was developed in cooperation with the manufacturer of the revolvers. The theoretical part deals with the MSA methodology, which is used to assess acceptability of measurement systems. The practical part describes the current measurement system and performs gage repeatability and reproducibility study. It was confirmed that the current measurement system requires improvement. Subsequently coordinate systems were designed, based on functional features of the hammer and trigger. Automated optical measurements, based on the coordinate systems, were performed. The results from these measurements were again assessed by the gage R&R study. The analysis confirmed improvement of acceptability of the designed measurement systems. Based on these results, it is recommended to apply suggested procedures in practice. Results and recommendations of this master’s thesis can contribute to develop metrology in the company and improve the existing measurement system.

VC5 and Vision Designer platform visual system
Popovský, Pavel ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
For the purpose of an future machine vision system development in Tyco Electronics Czech s.r.o. I have developed Cognex Designer template. Template will serve as a flexible basis for further development of camera applications on the Cognex VC5 industrial computer. The functionality of the program template has been successfully verified by modifying it to a particular application of the laboratory manual station used to measure the parameters of the manufactured connectors. A camera with lens and lightning was chosen and installed on the station. DIO communication was put into operation between VC5 and PLC system. The application has been calibrated and verified as a measurement system using MSA Type I and Capability study standard methods.
Structure- and sequence-based identification of functionally important amino acids in a protein family
Peclinovská, Iveta ; Novotný, Marian (advisor) ; Pleskot, Roman (referee)
A group of small GTPases consist of over twenty protein families in the super class P-loop. It has a very diverse cell functions. Small GTPases regulate the formation of vesicular follicles, cytoskeleton and nuclear transport. They participate also on cell proliferation and signaling. The aim of my work is to find important amino acids that define family and distinguish each other. I focus on families Arf, Rab, Ran, Ras and Rho. At the Rho family I am also devoted to classes Rho, Rac and Cdc42. Amino acids are identified using bioinformatic programs selected Consurf and Sca5. The objective is also to test P2RANK specialized tool developed at the Charles University in Prague that predict ligand binding sites from protein structure in different families. Founding amino acids can have a big role in the functional divergence of individual families and classes of small GTPases and can be the basis for future study example for the proliferation of cancerous cells. 1.1 Keywords Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
