The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a coffee table made of concrete and metal. During processing, a set of three tables of different heights, diameters and tops was created. These boards are made of concrete, MDF and LTD boards. The aim of this work is to compare individual materials and verify their real usability in practice. The theoretical part includes the specifications of these materials, technical and safety requirements for table furniture and standards. The practical part deals with research, design, prototype production and consideration of the appropriateness of the use of individual materials.
Energetické parametry při formátování aglomerovaných materiálů

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to energy parameters while formatting agglomerated materials (MDF, Particleboard, OSB). This is primarily the effect of chip thickness on the cutting and sliding force size when cutting individual materials. During the experiment, different saw blades with different body modifications were used. The collected data were compared with the measured data and the calculated value of the average chip thickness. The dependence of the size of the cutting and sliding force on the mean chip thickness was demonstrated. As the thickness of the chip increased, so did the values of the individual forces. The effect of the machined material on the cutting force was quite significant. The internal structure of individual materials mainly influenced the cutting force. The smallest cutting force was measured with MDF and the largest with OSB. The influence of adjustment of the saw blade did not have such a significant effect on the size of the cutting force as the type of material being cut. Comparing all of the discs that had been used, the lowest cutting force measured was, on average, done by the discs with copper rivets. It was also statistically proven to be dependent on the size of the cutting force.
The analysis of acoustic properties of innovative wood-based materials

The content of this work is research of innovative wood-based materials in the acous-tic perspective. Basically, the goal is to determine the influence of the internal structure of the wood-based material on variables, which are sound speed, acoustic resistance, or acous-tic constant. In total were measured 15 samples, each one was made in a different way. Each sam-ple was weighted, and the length of its sides was measured. By using the ultra sonic timer, it was measured the time of the sound impulses, which go through the samples in all of their axes for the purpose of observation the influence the fibers on speed of sound in the materi-al. The next thing to do was to determine another magnitude, which describe acoustic of the material. All measurements were taken in room conditions (room humidity). Six of the sam-ples, which were randomly selected from those 15 samples, were measured once again after two weeks. In those two weeks were all the samples saved in air-conditioned place in which was the room humidity distinct lower. In the end all the samples were compared with each other and they were also com-pared with materials which are commonly used in production of musical instruments or acoustic components. Possible use in the music industry was assigned to each sample.

This diploma thesis focuses on the design of a coffee table, which is further designated for custom-made or mass production and sale. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part serves as a basis for the practical part as it documents the history of coffee tables and the research of coffee tables in the current market. The practical part presents the actual design process of the particular coffee table starting from the idea, first sketches, the selection of the materials and construction to the visualization of the product, the technical drawing and the budget for the production. This part also takes into account the observations from the theoretical part and tries to apply them in the design.
Vliv klimatických podmínek na pevnost lepených spojů MDF

This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the climatic conditions on bonding strength of MDF. Three types of bonded joints were used for testing – MDF-MDF, MDF-oak and MDF-artificial stone. The specimens were glued together with two component polyvinyl acetate adhesive. One half of testing joints was exposed to higher temperature and humidity, the second half of testing joints was exposed to normal conditions. After conditioning the specimens were subjected shear tension test. Then it was compared strength of bonded joints between normal conditions and higher temperature and humidity conditions.
Vliv nástroje na řezné odpory při CNC frézování

The master thesis is focused on measuring of cutting forces and milling on the CNC machine SCM Tech 99 L when MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is used as the machined material. The dynamometer Kistler 9257 B and DynoWare software is used for the measurement of forces and data analysis. The theoretical part of the thesis relates to the characteristics of the CNC machine, tools, tool angles and the methods of cutting resistance. The experimental part provides the description of the experiment itself as well as the changes of cutting conditions during the experimental process when using certain tools. Moreover, it explains the procedure of data processing and shows its final results. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the data of cutting forces and cutting resistance. These data are further compared based on the technology and the parameters.
Současné systémy nalepování folie ABS/PMMA na plošné dílce

This bachelor thesis is focused on the application of high-gloss foil on flat surfaces. Specifically, it focuses on the application of ABS / PMMA foils. The carrier is a MDF board, on which high-gloss foils are applied using a one-component polyurethane adhesive (PUR). In addition to individual materials, this work is focused on the appearance and composition of the production line of the product. There are also mentioned some companies that deal with the production of ABS / PMMA foils or the production of high-gloss wood-based plates. The specific companies mentioned in this work are the Czech company GRENA a.s., which also produces high-gloss wood-based plates. Another company is the Austrian company Senoplast, Klepsch & Co. GmbH – Headquarters, which produces a product called senosan®, which is also a high-gloss ABS / PMMA foil, with a very good scratch resistance.
Production Concept of Vacuum Mold for Plastic Forming

Vacuum plastic forming is method of termoplastic material treatment. This method uses physical and mechanical changes caused in materiál during his heating. Production of final product requires mould. The main advantage of this technology is fact, that manufacturing of mould is not so hard as manufacturing of mould for injection moulding, so mould is signficantly cheaper. Main purpose of this thesis is to propose production concept of this mould. Proposal was solved by SolidWorks and PowerMill software and manufacturing was realized on 3-axis CNC milling machine. Main result of this thesis is a summary of instructions which can be used in proposes of different moulds for vacuum plastic forming.
Sketchup Woodworking Plugin

Main goals of this work are to understand the SketchUp application, learn the basic tasks of fiberboard furniture design and the design and implementation of tools, which should increase efficacy of these tasks. Tools are created as plug-ins for SketchUp using its Ruby API. The text it self is focused on fundamentals of 3D computer graphics and use of  them in SkechtUp, fiberboard furniture design processes and the woodworking plug-in it self. Described tools are used for creation of  board models, their management through user interface and generation of edging for boards.
