Korejs, Tomáš ; Šobr, Miroslav (advisor) ; Janský, Bohumír (referee)
The object of this thesis is to evaluate influence of groundwater on the period of hydrological drought in the Lužnice river floodplain, focusing on interaction between surface water and groudwater. Floodplain of the Lužnice is unique fluvial ecosystem characterized it's diversity and natural value. Especially upper stream of Lužnice represents river floodplain river and creater good conditions for water retention. Main first part of this thesis is focused on work with literature about issue interaction between surface water and groundwater in the river floodplain with examples from Czech republic and the world, including the characteristics the groundwater Work with literature is also focused at characterizing the types of drought, it's cause and consequences. The second part evaluates the basic characteristics of runoff and hydrological drought on the Lužnice. This analysis is based on statistical evaluation of longtime data series from Pilař and Bechyně stations. Both profiles are compared to identify correlations.
History of river. Lower reach of river Lužnice
Prokop, František ; Županič, Jan (advisor) ; Horčička, Václav (referee)
7.1. Summary: The history of river. Lower reach of river Lužnice. Purpose of this work is to take down history of a river. We understand this history as a relationship between water flow and a human being. It is a relationship of two active agents, which developed in time from cooperation of them to domination of human above the river and its move to the passive role. We assume that it is possible to take down this relationship in following areas: river's influence on colonizating region and creation of transport infrastructure, transport possibilities of water flow, water as a source of water energy for mills and sawmills, river as source of water and food, river as a threat. We choosed only lower reach of Lužnice river from Tábor town to its embouchure into Vltava river in time period before year 1850 (beginning of industrial revolution), due to the extent of the topic. We gave proof of definite influence of water flow on the creation of seats by analysing nature conditions in the region and examining of transport infrastructure. Important seats originated in the places of water ford and on the crossings of trade ways. Remarkable chain of villages originated around the river flow. River was also an important artery of traffic and its flow was the most important condition of rafting in the region of...
Development of fluvial lakes in the Lužnice River floodplain
Hastíková, Petra ; Šobr, Miroslav (advisor) ; Havlíková, Petra (referee)
The object of the thesis is to evaluate the development of several chosen fluvial lakes in the basin of the river Lužnice, mainly in the section between the border with Austria and Suchdol nad Lužnicí. The river Lužnice in this particular section represents low intensity of modification. Many fluvial lakes are situated there and the river is meandering remarkably in the area. The first part of the thesis deals with the characteristics of the natural conditions in the basin of Lužnice and the defined floodplain and the problematics of lakes and their determination. The main part of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the flow development and fluvial lakes of the Lužnice floodplain based on the data of a aerosnapshoting. Because of the gradual decease of the meanders and straightening of the flows, it is possible to claim that the river has been considerably shortened with the passing time. In the thesis, 34 chosen fluvial lakes, that were measured morphometrically and batymetrically, were studied in detail.
Hydrological regime of the upper Lužnice river
Svoboda, Pavel ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Šobr, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this paper is evaluation of hydrological regime of the upper part of Lužnice River basin. Upper stream of the Lužnice river represents low intensity of modification. Larger part of the river is a meandering stream with many ponds and pools in the floodplain where the safe retention of water during floods is possible. First part of this paper focus on detailed area hydrography description. The main part concentrates to hydrological regime. The methodology of this research is based on statistical evaluation of the longtime data series from the Pilař station. Flood events and dry periods are analyzed during the past 46 years. Detailed discharge measurements (realized in this area by Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology) are used for recent flood evaluations. Higher occurrence of floods and dry periods was identified in the past 10 years.
Center of water skiing Soběslav
Veselý, Tomáš ; Klubalová, Pavlína (referee) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The thesis is focused of proposal and procesing of project documentation Center for waterskiing. The proposed object is located in the western part of the town Soběslav, in the locality aimed at sports activities. The building is created of facilities for summer sports, especially water skiing and wakeboarding. Further there will be built a playground for ball sports and track on roller skates. This is a three-storey no with a cellar object with a flat roof. The object is based on the foundation reinforced concrete pads a strips. The first floor is bricked of permanent formwork and partly of cast in place structure. The second and third floors is designed of clay blocks POROTHERM. This masonry is insulated with the aid of external contact thermal insulation. In the western part of the building is designed ventilated facade. The floor structures is designed from prestressed reinforced concrete panel SPIROLL and partly from reinforced concrete slabs. The object is divided into several operating units. They are the gym and its facilities, restaurant with kitchen, facilities for employees and the necessary storerooms, coffeehouse, shop with sporting equipment, rental equipment for water skiing and a dressing room serving the outdoor sports. The essential part of the second floor is comprised outdoor terrace. From this terrace is allowed entry to the coffeehouse, restaurants, shops and on the main staircase.
Response of animal cells to the extract, obtained from the colony matrix of Pectinatella magnifica
ŠUSTEROVÁ, Karolína
The aim of this thesis was to determine whether colonies freshwater bryozoans Pectinatella magnifica produce biologically active substances. On the basis of knowledge of the course of the growth curves of cell culture mouse fibroblasts were developed models for biological assays to determine the biological potential of substances contained in the extract of lyophilisate colonies of P. magnifica. Tests demonstrated the presence of substances with biological activity. Next part of this work was also survey the occurrence and distribution of the reference type to Vltavotýnsku, including the monitoring of basic parameters of the aquatic environment. It was explored in two years (2012 and 2013) repeated a total of 10 sites on rivers Vltava and Lužnice, the incidence was detected at 5 locations .
Ecology of phytobenthos in pools arising during the spring flood in the upper part of the river Lužnice
VESELÝ, Lukáš
A system of pools arises in the upper part of the Lužnice river during the spring flood. This study describes inter-annual development of phytobenthos in the floodplain system of the Lužnice River, including temporary/permanent pools during spring flood.
Effect of ponds and pond systems on the composition of the benthos in horní Lužnice
SVAČINA, Petr
The work is focused on monitoring changes in benthic communities in the longitudinal gradient of the river Lužnice. The river flows through to the pond area Třeboňsko and the largest pond of the Czech Republic - Rožmberk. It is examine affect of pond on benthic communities. The work involves collecting benthos according to the PERLA method on four profile in four seasons, the analysis of chemical parameters and data processing. The values of SI (saprobiological index) in the longitudinal gradient were from SI 1.8 to SI 2.6. SI values were at the outflow of Rožmberk higher than at inflow. The lowest values were in the first profile Suchdol (SI 1,8 ? SI 2,1) and higher values were in the last profile Vlkov (SI 2,4 ? 2,6). The chemical parameters at outflow were observed increased values of BOD5, TOC, NL105, NL505, chlorophyll and total P but lower values of nitrogen forms (Ntotal,NH4, N-NO3-). On the each profile was the significant change in the incidence or absence of certain groups. Profiles Suchdol and Hlína were diferent than Lužnice and Vlkov especially in the presence of stoneflies, dragonflies, beetles, and individuals generally indicates good water quality. Profiles at outflows from Rožmberk (Lužnice and Vlkov) showed a continued presence of bloodsuckers and more species indicating high organic pollution. NMDS method confirmed impact of sites in communities rather than period (R2 = 0.6 at significance level of p = 0.001).
Mercury content in muscle of chub (\kur{Leuciscus cephalus}) from the downstream tributaries of the Elbe river
KOLEK, Bohuslav
Mercury content in muscle of chub (Leuciscus cephalus) from the downstream tributaries of the Elbe river. The aim of the present study was to investigate the concentration of total mercury in muscle of 141 chub (Leuciscus cephalus) from seven Czech rivers (Vltava, Berounka, Sázava, Ohře, Otava, Lužnice, Labe) and to evaluate the potential risk of eating fish from the rivers. Total mercury values results from 2011 were compared with 2010. Mercury was determined by means of cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry using AMA-254. The highest mean concentrations of total mercury were found in the Otava-Topělec (0,240 +- 0,106 mg/kg) for year 2010 and Labe-Obříství (0,222 +- 0,102 mg/kg) for year 2011. The lowest mean concentrations of total mercury were found in the chub from the Berounka-Beroun for both years (0,053 +- 0,013 mg/kg and 0,064 +- 0,010, respectively). The fish intake hazard index calculated were between 0,1 and 0,4 for the individual tributaries monitored. The results of this study show that hygienic limit for fish product (0,5mg.kg-1) was exceeded in Otava-Topělec (0,59mg.kg-1).
