XMPP API for Web Applications
Vaisar, Tomáš ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (referee) ; Schmidt, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of an API, that allows creating XMPP applications using ECMAScript. Thesis includes implementation of API as a plugin for Jabbim XMPP client. Part of the thesis is an ECMAScript implementation of board game Draughts using designed API. Finally possibilities of future extensions are discussed.
Mobile application for anonymous communication
Krajanec, Štefan ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
Instant messaging applications noted significant grow especially in the last decade. In fact, the Internet communication is cheap and convenient way how to communicate with distant people. However, this grow of user communication and data exchange through the online world impacts user security and privacy, as it was also shown recently by WhatsApp privacy issues. Firstly this article evaluates security and privacy issues of current mobile messaging applications. Secondly, we design our basic open source solution with the focus on security, privacy, and user centric features. Furthermore, we provide proof-of-concept implementation of our system
Communication between devices using Bluetooth technology
Gasior, Ondřej ; Botta, Miroslav (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This thesis focuses on communication between mobile devices running the Android operating system and the PCs running MS Windows via Bluetooth. The main task is to create an applications which creates network, representing virtual room, for the exchange of text messages (ie. instant messaging). This involves creating a platform independent protocol and consequently its actual implementation. At first, Bluetooth technology and its principles are discused in detail, then both supported platforms are introduced, including their programming languages. The conclusion focuses on designed protocol and the analysis of both application with their source code using including sample of format of sending messages.
Creating Metadata during Interception of Instant Messaging Communication
Bárta, Stanislav ; Veselý, Vladimír (referee) ; Polčák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the lawful interception of instant messaging communication and meta-information construction (IRI reports) during an interception. This thesis deals with XMPP, IRC, and OSCAR protocols. Format of messages has been described for each protocol. An application that is able to create IRI messages has been developed and tested in proposed testbed. The work also deals with possible problems that may happen during interceptions.
Internet communication risks
Štěrba, Radek ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
This work deals with problems of communications protocols and servers. Primarily protocols TCP/IP are described. Next four the most used IM protocols (account of log in, communications and security) are described. Protocols for voice communications and problems of software phone systems are described here. Also database systems especially LDAP are mentioned here. A practical working is a part of this work too – a putting server for voice communications and sending messages and database LDAP into service. The process for putting the servers into service, connecting competent clients, and last but not least communications with LDAP are described.
Extensible Instant Messenger supporting collaborative drawing
Helcl, Jindřich ; Hnětynka, Petr (advisor) ; Keznikl, Jaroslav (referee)
In the present work we describe a tool for communication between two or more users called iNetPaint. The program supports creation of a shared picture. We can also extend the program by adding new painting tools. iNetPaint runs on the XMPP protocol, which enables us to communicate with other clients using this protocol, such as Jabber, Google Talk and others. This work contains documentation for users and for programmers, a summary of similar programs and differences between them and iNetPaint. Furthermore, the work describes how to create your own new painting tools - their definition and implementation.

Application for Secure Mobile Communication
Jeřábek, Jakub ; Zelený, Jan (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a mobile application for instant messaging with the accent on confidentiality. The application will provide the management of contacts, the management of contact groups and sending group messages. What is more, the application should allow users to share their position via the device's GPS module. In this thesis, the client-server architecture is used. The thesis contains an analysis of existing solutions, based on which I propose a specification of the resulting application. Its implementation is also described. The result of my activity is a working application for the mobile operation system Android which complies with the assignment of the thesis.
Mobile Client Server Application
Manďák, Roman ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Kula, Michal (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on designing the client and the server part of an application for text and multimedia communication between its users. The design takes into account reusing of the components and making them easily embeddable into another application. The project consists of a detailed analysis of communication protocols used for this type of applications, a description of possibilities of the iOS platform and development on this platform. Finally, the implementation and its possible extensions are described.
