Engine Motormanagement Software
Kopecký, Ivo ; Vítek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Fuel injection is a means of metering fuel into an internal combustion engine. In modern automotive applications, fuel metering is one of several functions performed by an "engine management system". A fuel injection system is designed and calibrated specifically for the type(s) of fuel it will handle: gasoline (petrol), Autogas LPG (also known as propane), ethanol, methanol, methane (natural gas), hydrogen or diesel. The majority of fuel injection systems are for gasoline or diesel applications. With the advent of electronic fuel injection, the diesel and gasoline hardware has become quite similar. During the last twenty years a preparation of a fuel mixture and the way of ignition in engine segment have changed the most. Instead of a carburettor it is being used the unit, which prepare fuel mixture according to a status of a car on the road e.g. change of pressure, temperature or ratio of a fuel and air.
Serial and Parallel Diagnostics of Vehicle Engine Control Units
Čoček, Jan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The thesis considers diagnosis of motor vehicles from the past until the present day, focusing especially on the engine of internal combustion engines. In its sections briefly describes the function of the system and then analyzed how to diagnose faults. The charts are presented symptoms and denouement, using measuring techniques. The conclusion describes the OBD systems, the most commonly used automotive bus and a summary of several major measuring devices used in automotive diagnostics.
The present state and development trends of utility vehicle engines.
Holbík, Ondřej ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on design solutions, engine power parameters and development tendencies of utility vehicles engines. The first part describes compression-ignition engine and its main parts. This is followed by second part that contains tables with engine data and the last part of thesis speaks about the possible development of utility vehicle engines and its perspectives in future.
Multi-point Injection
Slavík, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The main objective of this Bachelor degree thesis is to describe and to bring closer the function of the multiple fuel injection system (nebo the function of fuel injections with multiple sets) in spark-ignition combustion engines, as well as to create a summary of individual components in fuel injection frameworks together with describing their functions and comparing them with other alternatives in fuel systems. In the conclusion, an elaboration on development trends in combustion engines will be provided.
The diagnostics of fuel system in compression ignition engine Škoda Superb with injection CP4 Bosch Common Rail
ŠINDELÁŘ, Jan
This bachelor work is dealing with fuel system Bosch Common Rail in the car Škoda Superb. The main aim of this work is to describe and to explain working of this fuel system and consequently to evaluate its using in this car. The first part is about fuel system in compression ignition engines, its control and injection. In the next part injection and control of system Bosch Common Rail are explained and all the parts of this system are divided and described. In the next part legislation rules and demands of car repairing firms are written. In the last part there are described and divided diagnostic machines and diagnostics in this car is made. This work also includes evaluation of diagnostic results and suitability of using this fuel system in this car.
