AeroWorks: Simulator Motion Platform
Morávek, Martin ; Kunovský, Jiří (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dealing with the concepts behind the Stewart platform based flight simulation phenomena along with the method of inverse kinematics computation. Further, a washout algorithm to provide appropriate vestibular sensing to the pilot and ensuring that platform will not reach its limits is presented. Digital filters designed to be used in the implementation of the washout algorithm and their characteristics are also covered. The last part describes the architecture of the whole system and the implementation of individual parts.
Aerospace - Flight Data Vizualization
Morávek, Martin ; Bartoň, Radek (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with the flight data visualization phenomena for a modern airplane cockpit. It describes the analog flight instruments and the modern `glass cockpit' displays. A signifficant part is dedicated to the design and implementation of the flight display layout for the Zlin Z-142, using flight simulator extracted data. The application was designed considerating a clear and readable form of the displayed data. Different versions are being discussed, including the final version in terms of clarity and readability of provided indicators.
Certification of flight simulator training devices according to EASA requirements
Dittel, Daniel ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Sklenář, Filip (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compile a flight simulator certification procedure according to EASA requirements. The thesis contains a basic division of simulators according to the requirements for simulation fidelity and deals with the certification process of a specific Boeing 737 MAX simulator, where the aim is to certify the simulator to the FNPT II/MCC level. The thesis analyzes the certification from a general point of view, as well as from the point of view of the requirements for the visual system and the sound system and also contains the requirements for the extension from the FNPT II level to the FNPT II/MCC level. The thesis also contains an overview of regulations according to which the certification of flight simulators is done. The thesis also contains a chapter where the possibilities of using the Boeing 737 MAX simulator of the FNPT II/MCC level are described.
Comparison of selected criteria of flight characteristcs on an airplane simulator
Melich, Peter ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Matějů, Jiří (advisor)
As of today, we might consider PC technologies as very progressive and advanced. Due to this fact, we have numerous commercial flight simulators available on the market nowadays. However, each flight simulator has it’s own specific characteristics and behaviour and that’s why I’m going to compare selected flight characteristics in the chosen flight simulator on a chosen aircraft type (Cessna 172SP in my case) and it’s comparison with measured data from real-life environment in this thesis. Data comparison will show us how accurately simulator responds to inputs from the user and if the simulation is similar in relation to real conditions.
Graphical Interface for Head-Up Display
Svorada, Slavomír ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This work deals with trends in the field of flight data visualization. The aim of the work is to design own visualization of flight data for a head-up display and then implement the proposal in a flight simulator environment, which contains technologies that support virtual reality. The specific intention was creating a head-up display for the electric plane with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL).
Graphical Interface for Flight Displays
Graphical Interface for Flight Displays
Fialová, Lenka ; Rydlo, Karol (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis addresses visualization of flight data and values in the pilot cabin of current airplanes. It aims to provide the Primary Flight Display with an application presenting the flight values in a modern and comprehensible way. The thesis consists of the design and implementation of the application targetting flight simulator.
The use of fixed-base simulators in pilot training
Palich, Kristián ; Hammer, Jaromír (referee) ; Chlebek, Jiří (advisor)
PALICH, K. The use of fixed-base simulators in pilot training. Brno: Brno university of technology, Faculty of mechanical engineering, 2013. 80 s. Diploma thesis head: Ing. Jiří Chlebek, Ph.D. This diploma thesis deals with aircraft simulators and syntethic training devices which are used for pilot training. One of the chapters consist of division of syntethic training devices, which is defined by ordinance. In the next chapter there is general description of the basic function of those devices, history of simulators and their development from the very beggining to the present. A significant part of this diploma thesis is about flight simulator Jeppesen Flite Pro, which is at Institute of Aerospace at VUT. In the following chapters there is information about usage of this simulator in the education at this institute and there are picked specific subjects, where this simulator can be used.
