Modification of Vocal Tracks in SW Post-Production of Music
Trkal, Tomáš ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This thesis describes a design and an implementation of a vocal tracks processing application. The application consists of several sub-modules representing audio processors and effects. It is implemented as a plugin created with the VST technology. The plugin provides a simple control system and an integrated database of presets which help mainly less experienced users to significantly speed up the process of processing the vocal tracks. The user evaluation shows that application is successful both in creating demos and professional mixing of music tracks.

Novák, Matěj ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Impact of foot and lower limb massage postural stability Objectives: Find out what impact does sport massage of foot and lower limb has on postural stability. Methods: The research was realized in the form of a Crossover design experiment and involved 8 subjects. It was a one-group experiment where all participants were part of both the experimental and control groups. The measurement results were based on comparing the input and outcome measurements, with foot and calf massage being performed on the experimental group of subjects, while the control group was passively resting by lying on their backs. A pressure plate called Footscan was used to obtain the results in the Laboratory of Sports Motorics at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. Results: In the overall comparison of the results of all measured stances it is possible to see that in the first four stances, without the foam pad, experimental group achieved positive results even by ten percent. Only the results of narrow standing with eyes open (USOO) were negative. There was a deterioration of 21% in delta X and 15% in delta Y. However, these results cannot be considered positive since the control group achieved similar results with the same positive or negative tendencies in almost all evaluated...

Hanusová, Aneta ; Laštůvka, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Čiháková, Karolína (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of epidural analgesia as one of the most effective methods of labour pain control. The main aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate whether epidural analgesia is administered more frequently in primiparas or multiparas, and what is the frequency of epidural analgesia administration depending on the time of day at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the definition of physiological labour, description of labour times, labour pain and epidural analgesia, which includes anatomy of the spinal canal, indications, contraindications, drugs and technique of application. The practical part is the research part. It was carried out using analytical data collection from medical records and Medea hospital information system. The retrospective analysis was performed at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague. Keywords: epidural analgesia, time of administration, time of day, parity, primipara, multipara, effect, delivery, pain control
Sound Effect "Glitch Machine"
Cimmerman, Matej ; Mošner, Ladislav (referee) ; Černocký, Jan (advisor)
This thesis addresses software music effects and their implementation. It shows design and implementation of the Glitch Machine, which belongs to the music multieffect programs and demonstrates the simultaneous use of various music effects to process audio signals. The result is a program for Windows OS, which utilizes cooperation of various effects, namely a filter, reverb, distortion, extractor, reverz, stutter, shifter, pitch resample and gain. It allows extensive and detailed editing of an audio track and a higher extent of manipulation with sounds, than with single music effects. Other components of the program include visualisations of the waveform and frequency spectrum of audio signals and an option for loading and saving effect presets. The program was tested in tests of the performance and memory usage and also with user testing of quality and graphical interface.
Current position of teaching asistant
Kárová, Aneta ; Procházková, Jana (advisor) ; Janošová, Pavlína (referee)
1 Summary This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The topic is the current position of teaching assistant. The theoretical part discusses the position of teaching assistant from the point of view of legislation, requirements for his person and requirements for his qualifications. Communication and cooperation with other participants in the educational process is also an important topic. Last but not least, what are the possibilities for the integration of different pupils with different problems or disadvantages. The practical part is focused on an investigation, which aims to use questionnaires to find out how the teaching assistant is perceived by students of different schools - classical, Waldorf, Montessori, and then compare whether the results differ in any way. Another point of comparison are classes where the teacher's assistant does not work regularly and classes where the teacher's assistant works regularly. The results of these comparisons are surprising and interesting The result of the questionnaire survey shows that if the teacher's assistant acts as desired, and in accordance with the assumptions and recommendations in the professional literature, the pupils perceive him positively.
Decomposition of the gender wage gap before and after COVID-19: did wage determinants across genders change?
Bartóková, Martina ; Pertold-Gebicka, Barbara (advisor) ; Kolář, Daniel (referee)
The topics of inequality, unconditional differences or disproportional rewarding systems are fighting for their place at the top of the interest in public life. In order to fight the inequality present in society, scientists, policymakers, publicly active people and ordinary people are trying to discuss it and find its leading causes. This thesis examines the inequality between men and women in the rewarding system and how the recent pandemic crisis influences it. We analyse the role of many wage gap determinants and try to identify the main ones and how they change with the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of our expectations were confirmed. The pandemic crisis put more burden on women than men. However, the research shows that all the economic sectors suffer from the pandemic; the only difference is by what amount. The results of the decomposition show that change in the determinants of the wage gap is present, but only on the border of the gap. The reason is that even before the pandemic outbreak, the most significant part of the gender wage gap (GWG) was caused by the unexplained gap, i.e., the possible reasons for the GWG are gender discrimination or gender specialisation. After the COVID-19 pandemic began, the unexplained gap strengthened its position. Keywords gender, gender wage gap, COVID-19,...
