Business plan of guest house Trinactka with support of EU funds

Aim of this thesis is to create analyze business plan of guest house named Třináctka, which will be built in southern Moravia with support of EU funds. The thesis is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and applicative. There is described meaning of business plan and EU structural funds in the first, theoretical part. There is also defined structure of business plan and all items of this plan are described. Specialized literature and author´s knowledge gained during studies at University of Economics in Prague were used as a source of this theoretical part. Applicative part consist of business plan and process how to get subsidy from EU structural fund and how this subsidy will influence comprehensive impact on the guesthouse Třináctka. At the end of the thesis there is a conclusion about potential success of the project with regards the business plan in applicative part.

In terms of theoretical knowledge and gained information includes also analysis and recommendation of alternate form of financing of entrepreneurial intention. Matter of the project is construct of drying kiln of timber.

The main topic of my thesis called „Investment construction co-financed from EU Funds“ is basic description of principles and objectives of of structural (cohesion) policy including its development and instrument for its application – EU Funds. Specific attention is dedicated to Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund. The attention is also focused on Financial perspective for period 2007 – 2013 in theoretical part. Also the prediction for next multiannual financial Framework 2014+ is mentioned in the part. Practical part comprises description, analysis and evaluation of finished construction Project co-financed by Structural Funds. This project was carried out whithin Regional operation programme North-West and it solved the issue of „brownfields“ in the city center.

In the main part of analyzing the situation HATRACO Company Ltd. and described the procedure for obtaining funds from the EU structural funds. The final section is devoted to evaluate the use of structural funds for the development of the company.

One possibility is funding the project from the European Union funds. The theoretical part focuses on the EU, its structure, project preparation and risk assessment criteria. The practical part focuses on choosing a method for financing of the investment project with a subsequent recommendation for the company.
