Dvořák, Pavel ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The goal of this project was to study the informations needed to create information system for association Katolický dům Dačice, analysis and specification of the outcome and solution design and its implementation and testing. The software will be used to support manageing the association, administrating building and organizing activities and events. Web Application for Improvement of Vocabulary and Conversation Skills in Multiple Languages
Jakeš, Jan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a web application that would help its users to improve their vocabulary and conversation skills in foreign language studies. An important point is an orientation on the study of several languages at the same time. The base of the system is PHP programming language and the Nette Framework library. Other technologies used are MySQL, Doctrine 2, jQuery, ExtJS and programming interfaces of Wordnik and Facebook applications. This text describes the complete process of the development from the specification and analysis of application demands over architecture and user interface design up to implementation details, the process of testing and its results. Finally it sums up the ideas for future development.
Object-Relational Mapping on PHP Platform
Mokruša, Petr ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The thesis deals with an issue of object-relational mapping on the PHP platform. The first part contains general description of the ORM technology including design patterns meant for the technology. In the next part are described the two most important ORM frameworks - Doctrine 2 and Propel. The thesis is focused on Doctrine 2 as this framework is used in an exemplary application which represents how can be the ORM technology integrated to a project and how it can be effectively used. The aim of this thesis is to introduce the ORM technology to readers and to motivate them to use the ORM technology in their projects.
Web Game Portal
Kubíček, Martin ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the design and reconstruction of the already existing ImmortalFighters web portal system. The thesis analyses in detail the current system in order to prevent errors right from the start of the proposed changes in design. As part of the proposed change, a new database and a new site structure were created. The nature and logic of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy game and the possibility of using modern object-oriented technology for use in the web-based versions were explored. An analysis was made of possible technologies that are or have the capability of object-oriented design, and could therefore be used for the actual implementation. The most suitable technology was then chosen for this according to very clearly defined criteria. The work also presents the proposed changes that arise from analysis and personal experience accumulated from a long-term presence on the web portal. The practical part of the proposal is done using special technology - the Symfony 2 and Doctrine 2 PHP frameworks of an object-relational model, so that significant improvement and fundamental differences as compared the current solutions were clearly seen.
Use of Doctrine 2 in Zend Framework
Řehout, Michal ; Mittner, Jan (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
The subject of this document is to analyze and evaluate the features of Zend_Db and Doc-trine 2 -- two different implementations of object-relational mapping. The objectives will be achieved through objective performance testing in the sample appli-cation and subjective evaluation of difficulty to work with and contribution of each indi-vidual solution. The document is divided into four main parts. The first part will focus on the theory of object-relational mapping -- design patterns Table Data Gateway (Zend_Db_Table) and Data Mapper (Doctrine 2). In the second part we will summarize and evaluate the options of integrating Doctrine 2 with Zend Framework, this section freely continues in part four with a practical example of simple application. In the third part we will evaluate the analysis of the compared solutions.
