The establishment and development of the Ciudadanos Party

The bachelor thesis "The establishment and development of the Ciudadanos Party" focuses on the operation, programme and communication of the Spanish political party Ciudadanos- Partido de la Ciudadanía. The thesis examines the values of the party and their influence on policy-creating, and the shifts in the party's political programme since its foundation until the Spanish parliamentary election of 2019. The research question of the thesis is: "Can the Ciudadanos party be considered liberal based on its values and programme?" The other objective of this thesis includes tracing the establishment and development of Ciudadanos with concentration on its expansion from local Catalonian to nation-wide party, and the party's political communication. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to theoretical approaches to studying political parties. The thesis works with the familles spirituelles ('party families') theory, first and foremost with the concept of liberal family, which it also defines based on ideology and programme. Electronic Services for Citizens

This diploma thesis is focused on the topic of electronic services, which are provided by the public administration to citizens. The thesis focuses mainly on services provided in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current situation in the field of electronic public administration services, which are offered in the Czech Republic, and to propose several measures that could improve the current situation. The evaluation is done by the method of comparison of offered services in the Czech, Estonian and Finnish Republic. Service features are evaluated using a five-step maturity model and benchmarking principles. For services in the Czech Republic that are evaluated on the basis of the comparison as missing or of insufficient quality, steps are proposed to eliminate their deficiencies.
Health care system development from the perspective of citizens

Diploma thesis "Health care system development from the perspective of citizens" deals with the current state of Czech healthcare system, how is perceived by the citizens who are the target population of health policy and the main goal of health system is to improve their health. The main goal of this thesis is to find out, if the current state of Czech healthcare system meets with the requirements of citizens, having regard to the citizen's information and compared with the expectations. Qualitative and quantitative research methods (questionnaire, expert and semi structured interviews) were used to achieve the objectives. Theoretical and empirical part of the thesis is focused on the wider context of the role of citizens in the society and enforcement and respect of their human rights. There is emphasized the participation of citizens on health policy and importance of the human rights related to health in the thesis. Results of the survey show the lack of awareness of the human rights related to health and of news in healthcare that does not allow effective participation on creation and implementation of health policy and fulfillment of the role and responsibilities of the state in enforcement of the public interest. The civic participation is an active approach of the citizen who has possibility of using more or less formalized tools to influence public affairs. This diploma thesis "Citizens participation in the town life on a case study in Mnichovice" will deal with civic participation in a small town close to Prague - Mnichovice. The level of participation will be analyzed by the OECD (information, consultation, active participation) town hall uses, what factors influence participation rates, what motivates people to engage in participation and what discourages vice versa and which particular forms of cooperation with citizens are effective for local public administration. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the historical development of civil participation in decision making processes, analyzes legislation of the Czech Republic to describe the theoretical participation and engagement in different types of participation in the various approaches and finally explores options of participation in a small town with 3200 residents, which is located in the suburbia of Prague, 30 km south-east from the center of the capitol city. A year in the life of gentry - Jan Jenisek of Ujezd and Svrcovec

The aim of the work is to introduce readers to the life of a member of lesser nobility - Jan Jenisek of Ujezd and Svrcovec. Information was obtained by processing of economic and business notes which were recorded by Jan Jenisek between the years 1550 and 1552. The notes represent unique source for exploration of everyday life and work. Readers are given the opportunity to find out how legal disputes were solved, how farming, breeding and trading of commodities was conducted. Important part of the thesis is also the picture of Jan Jenisek himself, his character and relations with members of all society classes.
Renaissance mural paintings and sgraffiti on the facades in town Prachatice

Práce zpracovává renesanční fasádní nástěnné malby a sgrafita v Prachaticích. Časově je práce vymezena 16. stoletím, kdy město vlastnili Rožmberkové. Největší rozkvět města je spojen s vládou Viléma z Rožmberka v 2. polovině 16. století, kdy ve městě také vnikly všechny výpravnější figurální výzdoby domů. Výzdoba jednotlivých domů odráží postupný majetkový vzestup prachatických měšťanů. Realizace z 50. a 60. let 16. století jsou spíše výtvarně a také technologicky skromnější. Největší vzepětí jak majetkové tak také umělecké lze sledovat od začátku 70. let. Hrdost měšťanů a jejich estetické nároky nejlépe dokládá výzdoba Staré radnice. Nesmírně zajímavá a kvalitní výzdoba prachatických domů otvírá jako celek řadu otázek. Vedle dílenských a uměleckých souvislostí s ostatními jihočeskými městy, je to problém autenticity památky. Na některých fasádách, které byly pokládány za renesanční, se již s renesanční malbou ve skutečnosti nesetkáme. Jedná se o barokní novotvary, které motivickými částmi navázaly na původní výzdobu. Výrazné jsou odkazy na Rožmberky, které připomíná téměř každá fasáda. To nelze vysvětlit jinak, než jako výraz subordinace majiteli panství a tamnímu panovníkovi. Community based approaches to development of municipalities

The main aim of the thesis Community based approaches to development of municipalities is to evaluate the extent and quality of the use of community and participatory approaches to planning of development in the current decision-making at the local level. The first part focuses on the introduction of the theoretical concepts whose real application is shown on practical examples of Czech and foreign experience. Community methods do not have a long tradition in the Czech Republic and the transfer of the experience from the western world allows a further development in this area. The second part of the thesis is focused on participatory approaches in more detail, known and most commonly used methods of public involvement in planning and decision making, describes a participatory process, its troubles and problematical points. There is a case study included in the thesis focused on evaluation of the approach of the Prague 10 municipality to engage the population, its impact and consequences.
Citizens' participation in public life of rural communities - township Želetava

The aim is to clarify the functioning of public administration in the selected city in terms of citizen involvement, it is to show to what extent and in what activities are citizens involved in shaping local public policy, community development and public life. Specific objectives included the characterization of socioeconomic factors influencing the development potential of the municipality, identification of local actors in the political process and public life, analysis of forms of political participation and other public activities of citizens.
