Možnosti aplikace prevenčních nástrojů v procesu povrchové úpravy kovů

This master thesis is especially focused on identification of areas which are convenient to use prevention tools leading to reduce the negative impact on environment caused by technology of metal surface finishing. This issue is dealt in company called ZETOR TRACTORS a.s. In another part of this thesis, there are suggested variants solving problems in the identified areas. These variants are analysed and then one of them is chosen and recommended to application in this company. For this thesis principles of Cleaner Production Technique are used. In the end there are noticed the first experiences with the suggested prevention provision in practice. In the Literary review, there are described Czech legal requirements of emplacement and operation of technologies of metal surface finishing in terms of environmental protection.

Cleaner production

Preventing negative impacts on the environment is better than fixing it afterwards. From this argument the field of cleaner production has developed, which is the continuous application of an integral strategy to processes, products and services to increase the overall efficiency and reduce the risks to humans and the environment. For production processes cleaner production defines more efficient use of raw materials and energy, elimination of toxic, hazardous materials and preventing waste and emissions at source. For products (goods and services) cleaner production strategy focuses on reducing their environmental impact, and across their entire lifecycle, from development to their use. This strategy was firstly implemented in the United States, in the 3M company from Minnesota and after obtaining positive results, it spread all over the Word, in Europe though, pioneers were the Swedes. Many international organizations have created programs for the promotion and development of cleaner production in as many countries as possible, mostly through the National Center for CP, which were established in the early nineties by UNIDO and UNEP. The Usage of the Norms ISO for the Firm

The thesis deals about usage standard of CSN EN ISO 14001:2005 and it implementation to the company. In the theoretical part is analyzed process of the implementation and behaviour standard CSN EN ISO 14001:2005 in the building company XYZ. The attention is mainly drawn to benefits and costs connected with the implementation. Reccomendations for system functioning EMS are presented as a conclusion.

Waste prevention and effective waste management in the selected company

From reason of protection environment, under the pressure of not only administrative, but economic measures too are firms trying to minimise the amount of nascent waste. Therefor is thesis focused to the analysis of waste economy, production and composition of waste in the company WITTE Nejdek in period since 2010 to 2015. There is evaluated dependence the amount of waste similar to communal on number of employees in the company WITTE Nejdek. Was done landscaping survey, what was focused to possibilities of reducing amount of wastes, to quality of recycling waste and to availability of collecting points in the company areal. To evalaution of current dondition of recycling wastes in the company WITTE Nejdek was done survey with employees, what was focused on awareness and knowledge employees about recycling waste in WITTE Nejdek. In these are proposed concrete measures, what could improve recycling of waste and make changes helping to reduce amount of waste. Proposals are suitable not only in terms of prevention to waste production, but economically too.

The last part is based on previous and it is suggested for improvement in solution of the environment.

Sustainability Report in Company

Thesis deals with the reporting of sustainability development and its mode of administration of regular reports. The first section contains information ofsustainability development and a summary of the approach of the UN and the EU to sustainability development, which influenced business attitudes to the disclosure of periodic results using standardized reporting of sustainability. The second part analysis the situation of companies in the administration report brewing on sustainability and social responsibility. The aim is to develop recommendations for the creation of reports on sustainable development and social responsibility on the basis of previous analyzes and evaluation of their development.

The Risk Assessment under the Act on Environmental Damage in Fosfa joint-stock Company

Nowadays there is an increasing pressure on manufacturing companies to reduce their impact on the environment. This thesis seeks to address two approaches to reducing the environmental impact - legislative and voluntary. The theoretical part defines the procedure for environmental risk assessment under applicable law and the implementation of cleaner production in the company. The practical part describes the evaluation of risks arising in all production areas of the company and implementing the cleaner production program in the selected department. The introduction of cleaner production is economically evaluated by the simple return on investment method.
