Czech Public's Attitudes to Foreign Countries - November 2016

In November survey CVVM investigated how sympathetic or unsympathetic are some selected countries to the Czech public. In this survey 27 countries were selected. The most sympathetic country among them according to Czech citizens is Slovakia followed by Austria, France, Sweden, Norway, Italy, and Great Britain.

Party Preferences and Voting Model in December 2016

In December survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour.\nParty preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for.\nVoting model indicate anticipated result of elections to Chamber of Deputies in the time of the survey. Voting model comes out of Party preferences but it includes only those who want to take part in elections and they answered us a Party they would vote for – in short this group does not include undecided people and non – voters.

Beer in Czech society in 2016

In September 2016 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR replicated some of the questions about beer, which constitute a part of research project Pubs and Beer in Czech Society that is under way since 2004. This press release maps basic trends about the share of consumers among Czech citizens and about both amount and frequency of beer consumption from 2004 to 2016. The status of non-alcoholic beer is mentioned as well.

Citizens on Economic Situation of the Czech Republic and Living Standard of Their Households - June 2016

According to the June survey of CVVM, 32% of people evaluate the current economic situation in the Czech Republic as good, 41% view it as neither good nor bad, and 24% consider it to be bad. 25% of citizens think that the economic situation will improve in this year, 49% expect no change, and 20% await worsening of economic situation. 53% of Czechs evaluate the living standard of their household as good, 14% consider it to be bad, and 33% characterize it as neither good, nor bad.

Romanies and Coexistence with Them in View of Czech Public – June 2016

June survey of CVVM focused on public attitude and public relationships between Czech population and Romany minority. Survey showed that more than three quarters of Czech citizens (78%) see living together of Romany and non-Romany population as bad in Czech Republic generally. 56% of Czechs think that Romanies have worse possibilities to get a job than the majority population, 38% think that Romanies have worse conditions, if they are trying to assert themselves in public life, 29% see the possibilities of Romanies as worse also in case of qualification, 25% in case of education, and 22% in case of housing.
