Creation of laboratory exercises in the NS3 enviroment
Štefančík, Matej ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Polák, Josef (advisor)
Diploma thesis provides an introduction to the ns-3 network simulator. It describes the basic abstactions and components of the instrument. This work further discusses the theory, which was applied during simulation creation. The concept of unicast, the issue of IP addressing and routing in networks are specificaly analyzed. The practical part is focused on the creation of four laboratory tasks within the scope of Advanced Communication Techniques. The first task is dedicated to the the issue of static unicast routing in the network. It clarifies the impact of metrics on the process of routing. The following task compares the different types of ICMPv4 and ICMPv6 messages. The third task discusses additional functions of the ICMPv6. Specifically, it focuses on five different types of ICMPv6 messages defined by NDP (Neighbor Discovery Protocol) and their role in the network traffic. The last task focuses on ensuring the quality of services (QoS) in wireless networks, by setting priorities and thereby dividing the traffic into different classes. Attention is focused on parameters such as throughput, delay and jitter.
Features and use of IPv6 and MIPv6 protocols
Sulík, Peter ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Skořepa, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with IPv6 protocol problematic and with mobility support in this protocol. In the first part are described basic IPv6 attributes and differences compared to IPv4 protocol. In the second part, the MIPv6 protocol is described in detail and mainly the advantages in wireless networks usage. Most of the part is dedicated to routing mechanism problematic of Bidirectional tunneling and Route Optimisation. Thereafter, networks are simulated in OPNET Modeler software to demonstrate the attributes of MIPv6 protocol. In conclusion, the simulations results are evaluated and also advantages of Route Optimization routing in networks.
Securing computer networks with IPv6 protocol
Geyer, Lukáš ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The objective of the diploma thesis is the analysis of network attacks on local area networks with IPv6 protocol and defenses against these attacks along with methodology of the security process.
Establishment of QoS filtering on IPv6 protocol using Linux
Matušina, František ; Holešinský, Pavel (referee) ; Matocha, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is interested in establishment of QoS filtering on IPv6 protocol usány Linux. Thesis describe protocol IPv4 and protocol IPv6 and their differences. Problematic is implement to Linux. Because this problem is implement in Linux, I describe a few distribution of Linux in thesis. Another part of thesis are about QoS and about QoS implement on TCP/IP model. In practise part is make a propsal resolution working site under protocol IPv6 in Linux. Realize include install of server, clients and their configuration. Realize include script, that account, take control of the traffic. Changeing traffic is show in graphs. Graphs of measure are comented and outcome clear up. All graphs and scripts are add to attachments.
Design of labs for Cisco academy courses
Oujezský, Václav ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
This master's work deals with the design of laboratory exercises for Cisco Academy courses. Especially is oriented on Cisco technology. The theoretical part describes various devices used in the laboratory and the issue of functionality of these devices, such as switching, routing and solve any problems with the configurations of these elements. The practical part is directly generated designs laboratory exercises, focusing on specific examples of the problems from the configuration and network management with Cisco. An integral part of work consists of supporting the presentation of individual laboratory tasks, including configuration files, settings of the device. Create labs and verify the functionality of their configuration has been realized in the laboratory Cisco Academy Brno.
Implementation of quality of service in a converged network
Zvolenský, Daniel ; Kovář, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The point of this work is the creation of IP network with a proper topology, in Network Simulator version 2, where voice packet stream with recommended compresion by G.723 standard and real-time video by H.263 standard will be simulated. Theoretical part of this work consists of convergence of nets with an implementation of Quality of Services description. In practical part of this work is identification with bacis commands in program Network Simulator 2, which make possible simulation of network behaviour.
Řešení dynamické konfigurace IPv6 klientů v počítačové síti MENDELU
Chumlenová, Barbora
In the first part of this bachelor thesis, there is an explanation and analysis of IPv6 network protocol basic features, which is becoming used as standard for network communication in this time. In the next parts of the thesis, there is an explanation of different variants of dynamic configuration. The SLAAC mechanism in combination with statefull and stateless DHCPv6. These variants were verified and tested in the laboratory of Computer Networking at the Department of Infor-matics FBE MENDELU. The goal of this thesis was to test these variants and choose the most suitable configuration of clients, which should be used in the production network MENDELU.
Případová studie podpory mobility u IPv6
Stratil, Jakub
This thesis includes information about important properties and functions of the IPv6 protocol with the main focus on the mobility mechanism. Practical part consist of network topology design and implementation, testing IPv6 mobility configuration on actual devices in laboratory enviroment.
Návrh integrace IPv6 do počítačové sítě Mendelovy univerzity v Brně v oblasti směrování
Filip, Tomáš
This master thesis deals with integration of IPv6 network protocol into production computer network of Mendel University in Brno in the routing field. The integration includes the Dual Stack transition mechanism, IPv6 address plan, static routing at the perimeter of the university network, and OSPFv3 and MP-BGP routing protocols. Proposed integration plan was verified in the Laboratory of computer networking at the Department of Informatics at FBE MENDELU, and it serves as a template for a final implementation in the production network.
Návrh integrace protokolu IPv6 ve firmě Z-Ware
Hakl, Jan
This bachelor thesis suggests and discuss methods and procedures of implemen- ting IPv6 to computer network Z-ware company. It deals with practical settings of routers, servers and clients computers.
