Internal combustion engine control in the LabView environment
Adamec, Vojtěch ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the control of a diesel internal combustion engine. The aim of the thesis was to make a methods overview of diesel internal combustion engines control, to develop an algorithm for a six-cylinder diesel engine control and then to program it in the LabView environment. The thesis also describes the calibration of sensors and engine control unit. The algorithm was tested using a programmed signal generator and an oscilloscope.
An Extended Model of a MEMS Gyroscope: Design and Identification
Vágner, Martin ; Sopata,, Milan (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is aimed on measurement and modeling of MEMS gyroscopes based on input-output characteristics. The first part briefs the state of the art. The second part is dedicated to measurement methodology. Critical points and sources of uncertainty are discussed and evaluated using measurements or simulations. The last part shows key characteristics of MEMS gyroscopes based on the survey of a group of different sensor types. The results have revealed significant influence of supply voltage that causes bias drift of the gyroscope and bias drift of the internal temperature sensor. The error can be comparable to temperature drift; however, this effect is not addressed in the literature. The second observed effect is temperature dependency of angle random walk. In the last part, a general model of a MEMS gyroscope is rewritten to reflect observed effects. Moreover, the structure is selected to be easily extendable and the coefficients are expressed to allow a comparison of nominal parameters of different sensors.
Metrological confirmation of the measuring instrument
Nezdařilíková, Martina ; Bumbálek, Leoš (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
The aim of thesis is to analyse terms, definitions and parameters for specify the surface structure focuse on the surface roughness. There are analyze requeriment of European Standarts EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 10012. Thesis focused on quality management in measurement process and monitoring in the both standarts. The last part of thesis design the matrological confirmation of MarSurf PS1.
Projected User Interface - Board Game
Kaisler, Vojtěch ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis brings a project and an implementation of an interactive board game. The implementation can be divided into a detection part and a projection part. Detection, realized by an infra-red camera, serves as a means for recording players' responses. The players interact with the game through simple hand gestures. Projection screens a game plan, which includes the players' figures, on the table with the help of a data projector. The game chosen for projection is a role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons.
Quality Management system for the calibration of linear gauges
Dobeš, Jan ; Koška, Petr (referee) ; Pernikář, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issues of calibration of gauges. The aim of the thesis is to create detailed calibration procedures and examplary measurements of selected types of length gauges. These gauges are gauge blocks, dial indicator, caliper, micrometer. This measuring was implemented in the calibration laboratory TM Technik s. r. o., where autor could obtain experiences from employees and discuss with them about these topics.
Augmented User Interface
Vladík, Ondřej ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design and implement an augmented user interface for widget management which uses a camera-projector system. Implement also includes a library of functions for semi-automatic calibration of this system. An interface to control the widgets using markers was designed. Various markers are arranged on the desktop (desk, wall or table) . The camera captures these markers in a camera image. The position of the markers in space is then determined from the camera image . Widgets are projected on the desktop next to the markers. User can freely move those markers and the widgets will follow the markers.
Temperature measurements with thermocouples
Hyrš, Jan ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The work is aimed at measuring temperature with thermocouples. Brief is made introduction to its basic measurement and distribution. The principle function of the thermocouple is explained, and also describes its basic properties. The paper also described how they integrated into a circuit. Performed an overview of the use of thermocouples in practice, indicating illustrative examples. In conclusion, it is processed and evaluated executed experiment temperature of hotplate´s stove.
Automated system for transfer measurement of two-port blocks
Nuhlíček, Karel ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Hadinec, Michal (advisor)
This work descripes the principles of RF spektrum analyzers and generators, introduces the technical specifications of specific instruments and describes the design of computer-controlled measuring system using generator N9310A and N9320A spectrum analyzer for measuring the value of transmission of two-port blocks. The practical part is focused on the realization of the program for the operation and measurement automation allowing to set various parameters, system calibration, record, display measured values and verification functions of different equivalent circuit.
Calibration of GOM ATOS optical coordinate measuring machines
Košťák, Ondřej ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Harčarík, Matej (advisor)
This master’s thesis contains the basic division of 3D methods which are used for reconstruction of measured objects. Furthermore the types of structured light patterns used for 3D triangulation. It also contains a description of the construction and functions of GOM ATOS and TRITOP machines. Primarily the thesis deals with the calibration of these machines, the design of suitable materials standard of size and the internal calibration methodology used by ŠKODA AUTO a.s. The text also includes verification of the proposed calibration procedure in practice, proposal for determination of calibration uncertainties and recommendations for practice.
Partial Discharge in High Frequency Electronic Equipment
Havlíček, Tomáš ; Maschke, Jan (referee) ; Dřímal,, Jiří (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The presented thesis is focused on knowledge extension in the area of partial discharge measurements and evaluation at frequencies higher than 1 kHz. The thesis includes the design and set up of the measuring workplace equipped for measuring partial discharges, including the methodology of the measuring and calibration procedures necessary for the achievement of reproducible results. Another part of the thesis deals with the technology of acoustical and electromagnetic sensors convenient for the diagnostics and localization of partial discharges in devices, that work at voltages above 500 V. Electrical circuits that enable data evaluation by using the signal from a sensor working on amplitude analysis principle were developed. For PD detection a PC controlled measuring device working on amplitude analysis principle had to be designed and realized. The possibilities of the workplace have been demonstrated in the process of development of the insulating systems for pulse transformers. Thesis results can significantly contribute to a higher quality of newly designed electronic devices and systems working at voltages above 500 V.
