Panel meassurement device
Vaško, Pavel ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The master thesis includes a literature search, which is focused on questions around panel measure instruments for measuring analog voltage signals. There is the block diagram and the concept of measuring voltage values designed from collected information and defined requirements to the device. In the next step a design of the circuit diagram is created and published and consequently transferred into PCB. The whole board has been fabricated, assembled and tested. The firmware development starts with the definition of basic functional blocks for using of internal elements of the device, which is followed by the implementation of the Modbus slave station service routine. The top part presents graphical user interface on the device.
Realization of Measurement System for Analogue Values with Memory
Sabol, Martin ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with transfering analogue values to digital form. Measuring values are saved with the information about time of measurement into the memory and these are ready to processing in PC. The Measurement system is composited from the main digital circuit, which is connected to measuring channel. Whole designed circuit with program equipment is exactly described in this work.
Analog 0-10V to Ethernet convertor
Hlúpik, Martin ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Master`s thesis concern with problematic of connection analog sensors with voltage output 0-10V to a ethernet communication network. Due to a quick evolution and an application ethernet nets to industry and building technologies is possible to use this solution for connection remote diagnostics and setting of existing analog sensors without bus communication interfaces on instrumentation level of field bus networks. The converter is based on Rabbit module, which can be used like webserver for setting, calibration and data recording. For purpose of wide converter use the data output will be purvey on ethernet interface by Modbus TCP and on asynchronous serial interface RS232. First part of thesis is aimed on description of existing solutions and introduction with principles of linearization and calibration of A/D converters. Description of communication standard Modbus TCP widely used in industry applications. Second part of thesis describes design a realization of project. Here is described equipment block diagram with detail description of each block and devices used. In the part of implementation is description of device firmware with program function description and control. Last part is engage with module function verification supported with plantz of measurements and tests. The thesis is ended with evaluation results, knowledge and detections found out in development of project.
Embedded system for date collection
Varga, Kamil ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis is describing problems of embedded systems and their development. Furthermore, the operating system GNU/Linux and it's cross-compiling is described. Hardware problems are analyzed too. Concrete solution is system which is able to boot from the USB disc and it is based on OpenWrt distribution running on Edimax BR-6104KP router. The whole solution is described the way which can lead to any general embedded system.
Design of CMOS SC Sigma-Delta Modulator in i3t technology
Valehrach, Ondřej ; Fujcik, Lukáš (referee) ; Koudar, Ivan (advisor)
Design step for Sigma-Delta ADC is introduced. Suitable solution for performance improvement of the original Sigma-Delta ADC, which meets new requirements on resolution of 16 bits and signal bandwidth 20-50 kHz is presented. Advantage of using multi-bit quantization and DEM DWA method reducing the linearity requirements of the internal feedback DAC is shown.
Implementation of software radio into FPGA
Šrámek, Petr ; Maršálek, Roman (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
The common objective of this project is implementation of software defined radio (SDR) into FPGA. The text contains review and comparison of several hardware concepts intended for SDRs implementation then the methods for digital implementation of various components of radios as the filters, mixers and others are mentioned. Part of the text introduces used hardware platform and describes software support for designing, simulations and implementation into hardware. Significant part of project describes complex of external hardware components as filter, amplifier and control panel designed and built within the project realization. But the main part of project demonstrates design of the software solution of radio receiver. There is specified architecture of radio for FM broadcast receiving, next the more complex systems with carrier recovery algorithm are presented. These systems are able to work with AM, BPSK and QPSK modulations. It is possible to implement all these receivers into hardware and verify their operation. The practical laboratory theme has been outlined within the project run.
Digitalization of the optical intensity distribution scanning
Škrob, Robin ; Hudcová, Lucie (referee) ; Křivák, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis solves a design and construction of device for gathering and transfer of data into computer. The device should replace graph plotter, by which is measured the optical intensity of a laser beam. From this characteristic it is possible to determine other parameters of the laser beam, such as halfwidth of the beam, angle of divergence and Rayleigh length. The described device - “data gatherer” - measures two voltage values – voltage detected on photodiode and voltage detected on distance moved by photodiode. Measured values of voltage are processed and sent through a serial line into the computer. A pre-amplifier is connected to the control part for both channels of measured values with possibility of amplification. Computer application, which performs graphic interpretation of the measured values, serves as user control peripheral. The product of this project is compact device operating under OS Windows with graphic output.

The heartbeat counter
Malínský, Zdeněk ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Švrček, Martin (advisor)
Heart rate variability belongs to basic and most frequently interpretation of physiologic statement in medicine. The pulse rate serves as an indicator of the heart activity. The subject of this diploma thesis is projection of the heartbeat counter. The work describes electrocardiograph and separated waves, ways of calculation heart rate, characteristics mechanism for measuring and other necessary information about heart rate measuring. This master thesis fixates on heart rate-calculation from including R-R intervals. Here is described whole project of heartbeat counter, properties of separated blocks and calculation of useful parameters. Further there is noted software resolution for the microcontroller and program for the calculation of heart rate frequency including unwinding signal preprocessing and detection of separated QRS complexes. The products of this diploma thesis are the circuit including the board circuit and codes of separated programs.
System for Imaging of the Monochromatic Pictures in the Pseudo Color
Kaděrka, Petr ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Říčný, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis treats the possibilities of the black-white picture depiction in pseudo colors (Pseudocolor). The individual methods, software or hardware are described there and the detailed block scheme of the system Pseudocolor is suggested. The block scheme is created on the basis of gained theoretical knowledge. In the thesis, individual functional blocks of the scheme are described and their circuit designs are realized. Some of the functional blocks are simulated by the PSpice program and accompanied by corresponding signal process data. The suitable choice of the active and passive components is performed, from which the general integration of the system Pseudocolor is made. All the source materials for the realization of the device are given there – double-sided drawing of the printed circuit, layout and specification of the components.
