Construction efficiency of low-energy residential buildings

Construction of low-energy residential buildings (i.e. houses with low energy demand) in the Czech Republic is not as common as in other countries in the region. This thesis examines the reasons for such development and whether or which obstacles potential buyers face. The analysis of the economic choice between "regular" house and a low-energy building will be primarily based on comparison of basic parameters of both types of constructions. Data for this research will be taken from commercial developers. Quality analysis in the form of detailed interviews with developers, architects and potential buyers will follow. The last section of this thesis will deal with the approach of Czech media towards low-energy development. Presentation of this issue to the public will be examined by the frequency and content of reports.

Logistics of construction company

Goal of this thesis is to define logistic problems of small to middle sized construction company and suggest solutions. In this thesis logistics is considered as integrated system which is managing and keeping records of movement and position of construction machines, automobiles and also employees. Thesis is abstract of activities, that has been done by logistics section of Reinter from 2007 to 2011 and it is presenting steps done by management of firm in order to improve the performance of section. These steps are explained, commented and evaluated.
Business Valuation

The objective of this diploma thesis is the valuation of medium construction company Matex HK s.r.o. using discounted cash flow method. The thesis is divided into two main parts - the first part acquaints us with methodology of business valuation, while the second part is focused on valuation of the company itself. The theoretical body of the thesis describes basic calculations, methods and procedures necessary for correct estimation of the company value. Opening part is focused on defining of the basic principles of this issue. This is followed by introduction to methodics of strategic and financial analysis and description of the selected valuation method and matters related. Applied part of this thesis uses the described tools for the purposes of valuation of chosen company. Conclusion is devoted to company valuation statement and subsequent commentary.

The new theory of business - a comprehensive analysis of the company

The aim of the Master's thesis is a comprehensive analysis of the company's financial health over a certain period. In the theoretical part of the work I describe the methods of analysis from basic ones to more complex assessment models. In the practical part, I apply the acquired knowledge directly to the construction company with using its accounting documents. The financial analysis consists of analysis of absolute, differential and proportional company's indexes, which are followed by comparison of the company and industry. Last part focuses on the credit-worthy and bankruptcy models of financial situation assessments as well as their final comparison. At the end, I summarizes the financial situation by using methods and propose measures to improve the future development.
The rise and development constructions

This baccalaureate work is occupied problems of architecture styles. It is devided into two parts. Theoretical part is based on the hystory of constructions from long past cultures. Individual architecture styles are arranged in chronological sequence running from past to the present. Change from the first part to second part is made of chapter about the construction of underground in Prague and its compare with tunnel Blanka. Practical part is based on the real realization of tunnel Blanka. There are described individual steps of construction this tunnel. More, there is attached project documentation and visual photographs. The development of tunnels stands on the top of interesting of traffic engineering and it depends on the time, when the similar constructions will be realized in the regional towns.
Changes in prices of property after accession to the European Union

The thesis deals with changes in prices of property after accession to the European Union. Its main aim is to provide a practical review of relevant legislation and describe current situation in land valuation in the CR .Next aim is to compare price of real estates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Switzerland. In the section devoted to land valuation in the CR the thesis gives a historic review of valuation legislation since the year 1918 up to present and compares the effective executive regulation No. 364/2010 Coll. with the previous regulation to apply Act no.151/1997 Coll., on Evaluation of Property and on the Amendment of Certain Law, as amended. In the next chapters are presented basic general principles and methods of valuation, as well as the purpose of valuation. In some chapters there are examples of bid prices and market prices. Below there are given charts and tables for real insight. One chapter is devoted to the situation in the Slovak Republic and one is paid to the situation in Switzerland. In conclusion, the results are compared among the selected countries. The thesis is complemented by annexes, which relate to the topic, for example expert opinion on the valuation of property, executed by a judicial expert.
Diagnosis of Selected pre-Concepts Towards Technical and Scientifical Education of 4th Grade Pupils

The graduation thesis is concerned with problems of chosen preconceptions from technical and scientific education. In the theoretic part the attention is focused on the topics related to the educational problems, constructivism, preconceptions, technical and scientific education in basic schools. Degree of structuralization of preconcepts was investigated by questionnaires in the investigative part. Unfinished sentences, assessment scales and cognitive maps are contained in these questionnaires. Into the investigative sample there were included pupils of fourth and fifth grade of the basic schools in cities Libáň and Jičín. Data about preconceptions and their structuralization were found out, processed and evaluated by the mentioned methods above (questionnaires and cognitive maps). These observed results are intended for quantitative and qualitative areas from technical and scientific education.
locatio operis in construction

The aim of this thesis is to analyze legislative relations rising from locatio operis in construction. Work focuses on the practical problems, that rising from these obligations. I compare here the Czech and the German legal regulations. Thereinafter is mention about advantages and disadvantages the Czech legal regulation. I explain and analyze legal relations rising from implementation of the work. In a practical section were compiled checklists and were sent to construction companies. It was detected, that construction companies don´t use at closing of contract the specialized legal aid. Thereinafter was detected, that rises law suits between construction companies and customers. The main reason of these law suits are wrong getting together contracts.
