Vliv terapeuticky aktivních látek obsažených ve víně na cévní systém
Chvalinová, Klára
Vascular system diseases are annually a big problem throughout the world. They affect not only the elderly but also young and commonly healthy people. The issue of wine consumption in relation to these diseases has been amply researched several times, the aim of this work was to create a comprehensive overview of scientific research and experiments of this popular topic. The object of the study were scientific articles of scientists around the world and their research that dealt with the exploration of wine, especially wine contained ingredients that positively affect vascular system. The most of the clinical studies results confirm the positive effect of wine on a vascular system diseases, including prevention, formation and progression of the disease.
Doppler blood flow indicator
Byrtus, David ; Čech, Petr (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with methods for measuring Doppler velocity and blood flow in non-directional system with unmodulated carrier wave, system design indicator of blood flow for a frequency of 4 MHz ultrasound intensity of 100 mW/cm2 and evaluating methods of Doppler signals.
Stress-strain analysis of artery with atheroma
Maša, Marek ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis was the stress-strain analysis of iliac artery with atheroma. This problem was solved using finite element method (FEM).For the calculation purposes three two-dimensional models were created. The geometry was gained from transversal sections through the iliac artery with ateroma. This geometry is educed from used literature review. The main calculation process was run by ANSYS 11.0 program system.
Ultrasound blood flow detector
Vožda, Michal ; Dlouhý, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with Doppler methods of measuring blood flow in blood vessels and a simple design with a continuous wave for the 4 MHz frequency and intensity of ultrasound 100 mW/cm2. The work contains a description of the functional blocks and design of their involvement. Individual blocks are simulated in PSpice. The resulting circuit is a printed circuit board and a 3D model of the plate fitted in EAGLE.
Evaluation of pulse wave velocity in the human body
Mezuláníková, Radka ; Viščor,, Ivo (referee) ; Jurák, Pavel (advisor)
This Mater's thesis deals with the evaluation of pulse wave velocity using multi-channel whole-body impedance cardiography. Data were taken from the group of healthy volunteers whose impedance changes were measured during rest, respiratory maneuvers, tilt and stress exercise. The result of this measurement are values of peaks of pulse wave time shifts towards R-wave. The velocity values towards the thorax electrodes were recalculated on the basis of knowledge about the pulse wave time shifts and the distances from the heart to the scanned locations, which were measured using the arterial segment's lengths.
Application of flow cytometry for multiplex analyses in clinical biochemistry
Babušíková, Lucie ; Tremlová,, Bohuslava (referee) ; Beňovská,, Miroslava (advisor)
This thesis discusses the technique of flow cytometry for multiplex analysis and its use in conjunction with imunochemical methods. As part of this work was carried out clinical studies dealing with secondary prevention of myocardial infarction and atherosclerosis in 186 pacientů. In this time represents myocardial infarction worldwide civilizational problem. A number of possible parameters for monitoring atherosclerosis in the world is still an unresolved issue. In the practical part of this work we performed an analysis using Luminex xMAP technology for new parameters (adiponectin, resistin, osteopontin) to predict atherosclerotic disease associated with myocardial infarcion. Also we wanted to see how these parameters are changed in patients after increasing the dose of therapeutic drugs.
Contribution of technical equipments to treatment of blood vessel diseases
Laštůvka, Jan ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is an introduction to the anatomy and pathology of vascular system and providing an overview of technical equipment used for examination and treatment of blood vessel diseases. Using two type of blood vessel implants it illustrates the process of computation during the phase of creating a concept. In the former case the influence on blood flow and healthy blood vessel behaviour when using bifurcated blood vessel prosthesis is assessed, in the latter case the projecting computation of biflex stent construction is examined.
Risk factors of atherosclerosis
MRAČKOVÁ, Michala
Atherosclerosis and its risk factors are bases of most cardiovascular diseases (CVD), the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in industrial countries worldwide. Recently many new, independent biomarkers have appearred which could in future serve for increasing predictive value of "classical" risk factors of atherosclerosis. That is why in our bachelor thesis we followed the occurrence of classical risk factors which are used for calculation of the risk of fatal cardiovascular event during next ten years along with several new biomarkers in a group of randomly selected clients of a spa resort Savoy in Karlovy Vary without clinical signs of atherosclerosis. The results show that the most frequent risk factor in this population was hypercholesterolemia and a positive family history of a cardiovascular disease. The study group was divided according to the cardiovascular risk. We found that only 57 % of middle-aged persons belong to a group with the minor to medium risk, i.e. while 43 % of the followed parsons had high or very high risk of CVD. According to our expectation, high percentage of persons with a high cardiovascular risk was among men. The population of women suffered from metabolic syndrome in 35 % while the men´s part of the study group had metabolic syndrome even in 52 %. The final part of the thesis studied some "non-traditional" risk factors of atherosclerosis. In the investigated population the highest percentage showed lipoprotein-associated phospholipase (Lp-PLA2), increased concentration of lipoprotein (a) was less frequent and the lowest incidence was found in the case of small dense LDL. Pathological levels of Lp(a) were more frequent in women while increased Lp-PLA2 was found especially in men. Persons with high CVD risk showed higher concentration of Lp-PLA2, the other two factors did not differ between the two groups with different risk score. Nevertheless, the predictive value of Lp-PLA2 with respect to assessment of CVD risk was very low.
