Transformation of geopolitical importance of Arctic Ocean due to climate change.
Doboš, Bohumil ; Romancov, Michael (advisor) ; Plechanovová, Běla (referee)
Work describes and predicts future development in geopolitical situation in the region of the Arctic Ocean. Problematic is covered with regard to melting of the Arctic iceberg leading to access of mineral resources under the sea floor, as well as to opening of so-called Northern Route as the shortest sea route between Far East and European markets. Thesis is a case study, which creates the most probable development in the region and its conflict potential based on study of available sources. Specific points covered in the text are, after geographically limiting the area and summing up the historical process, problematic of peak oil and sketching probability of melting of the Arctic iceberg. Second part covers the question of recovering of the mineral resources in the area - oil and natural gas as the most important. It also deals with dependence of the countries in the area on the drilling and with impacts of the possible drilling in the Arctic Ocean on the situation inside these countries. Last topic covered in this part are tools a conventions of the sea law dealing with setting of so-called Exclusive economic zones and technical difficulties of the mining process. Third part covers topic of availability of Northern Route and North-west Passage and their fallout on the trade between Far East and Europe...
Contemporary technology of clay bricks production - possibilities and perspectives
Polláková, Lenka ; Pavelka, Oldřich (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
In the theoretical part, this diploma thesis deals with brick production, basic raw materials for brick production and the technological process of production itself. It also focuses directly on the fired brick, its legislative requirements and manufacturers who currently produce this brick in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The possibilities of current manufacturers are assessed in the practical part, especially in terms of salinity, mineralogical composition and behavior during firing of their production mixtures. As last the optimal firing temperature of the available mixtures is designed to achieve ideal parameters as frost resistence, strenght, appearance etc.
Selected parameters of beers from the markets
BROŽOVÁ, Jana
This bachelor thesis deals with the determination of selected parameters of beers available on the market in the Czech Republic. The subject of this thesis is the analysis of 12 beer samples with different alcohol content. The laboratory measurements confirm that the vast majority of beer samples correspond to the declared values on the packaging. In only one case is discovered that the producer presents a misleading indication in volume of alcohol. In other two cases are wrongly marked the types of beer.
Ohrožení ekonomických zájmů EU v Jižní a Střední Americe.
Frýda, Jiří ; Opatrný, Josef (advisor) ; Kovář, Martin (referee) ; Barteček, Ivo (referee)
The dissertation analyses the threats to economic interests of EU in Latin America - mostly focused on MERCOSUR's countries. Both regions share history, cultural and social bonds which were interrupted by the Cold War. During this period was Latin America a natural zone of interest of the United States (similarity with East Europe and USS R). The fundamental event is the end of bipolarity. The dissertation is mostly focused on one decade between 2003-2013. The three main chapters define the concept of economic security, the relationship between the EU-Latin America on the background of the historical insight and third main chapter analyses China's engagement in Latin America. In the post-Cold War period came a significant paradigmatic shift in the perception of economic security/vulnerability. Considering the asymmetry of relations between the two regions, we analyze a historical background, including the so-called "shared values" that partially (but not entirely) can be challenged. Relations between the two regions are viewed as highly pragmatic with a strong emphasis on trade ties. China as a new element in the region, where traditionally has competed the United States and Europe, is the core topic of the main third chapter. Latin America isn't perceived as a single region, but it is consider in...
Late Palaeolithic in Bohemia and Moravia
Moník, Martin ; Popelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Oliva, Martin (referee) ; Płonka, Tomáš (referee)
This work gives an overview of up to date knowledge of the Final Pleistocene in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, within the period known in archaeology as Late Palaeolithic. Apart from the review of results of previous research, six Late Palaeolithic chipped stone assemblages have been analyzed on techno-typological level. These assemblages have been put in context with contemporaneous sites in given region to create a map of Late Palaeolithic settlement. Quantification of most raw materials used in different sites made it possible to distinguish three to five raw material provinces, i.e. areas supplied with a concrete raw material type. These areas are probably identical with hunting territories of Late Palaeolithic hunters of Bohemian, Moravian and Silesian territory. Keywords: Late Palaeolithic, chipped stone industry, raw materials, operational sequences, Bohemia, Moravia 2
Výroba krmných směsí pro hospodářská zvířata
TROJAN, Michal
The feed industry has a long history in the Czech Republic. The volume of feed production is influenced by consumer demand for final products and the price development of compound feed and commodity affects the harvest of agricultural commodities from the previous marketing year. The purchase of raw materials needed for the production of compound feeds is subject to the technical standards and for the production of feed itself, the conditions are laid down in Act on Feed No. 95/1996 Coll. and in Decree No. 295/2015 Coll. An important factor in production is a functioning production process, which is regularly inspected internally and by the appropriate institute. Control of risks and threats to food and feed safety placed on the market are monitored by HACCP and RASFF preventive systems.

Planet Earth – Global Batch Bioreactor.
Hanika, Jiří ; Šolcová, Olga ; Kaštánek, František
Planet Earth, precisely speaking its surface shell, might be considered as a huge, multiphase, batch, biochemical reactor heated by Sun, whose energy is a unique resource. The Sun ensures our earthly life uncondicionally; moreover, it compensated the heat losses of the land, water and ice by radiation emitted from the Earth surface to its surrounding space at night. It is evident that in this macro-reactor the complex transport phenomena occurs in phases;involving mass, heat and momentum. Obviously such a responsive batch system can be only limited by resouces of carbon materials utilized in energy produstion for industrial and chemical processes.

Pressure Hydrolysis of Protein in Waste of Chicken Cartilage and Feathers in the Presence of Carbon Dioxide
Hanika, Jiří ; Šolcová, Olga ; Kaštánek, P.
Proteins hydrolysis of chicken cartilage and feathers were carried out at increased temperature (till 120 oC) and in the presence of carbon dioxide (partial pressure 10 20 bar), which dissociates in water solution forming an acidic environment supporting the reaction. Carbon dioxide was easily detachable from the reaction mixture at the end of process. Bench scale tests were performed using a mixed autoclave (volume 2.5 lt, mixing time 5 hr). The resulting aqueous solution of amino acids contained in the same representation as peptides forming collagen and keratin of raw material. The reaction conversion was proportional to carbon dioxide partial pressure.

Forsteite and the Possibilities of its Synthesis
Nguyen, Martin ; Keršnerová, Lucie (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to characterize the most important properties of forsterite and its practical use. Theoretical part contains characteristics of individual raw materials, which are used for synthesis of forsterite and the assessment of raw material possibilities of Czech Republic for the production of forsterite. The main focus is placed on the detailed research of published results of the most used technologies for synthesis of forsterite. At the end of theoretical part is the design of the most suitable production technology for forsterite in the Czech Republic. The practical part verifies suggested design of the production technology for forsterite synthesis together with a comparison of basic parameters of laboratory prepared forsterite with published parameters. X-ray diffraction analysis will be used for the evaluation of purity of the synthesized forsterite.
