Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Hubík, Antonín ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the application of fuzzy logic principles to evaluate properties of an information system. The practical problem being adressed is a facilitation of selection of a new HR/attendance system according to the needs of a specific mediumsized enterprise, using a custom-fitted fuzzy model design to compare available options. The design of the model is based on system requirements determined from a business analysis and is supported by key theory from the field of fuzzy logic and modelling. The proposed model is implemented in MS Excel and MATLAB environments. The implementations are demonstrated by evaluating five system options. Based on the results, one of the options is recommended for further consideration.
The Use Of VBA As A Tool For Creating Supporting Business Applications
Sochor, Kryštof ; Sochor, Pavel (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the use of VBA as a tool for creating supporting applications for businesses. Within the scope of my thesis, several of these applications are created that make working with data easier. The thesis also includes a section dealing with the automation of these applications.
Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Příkaský, Martin ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is the design and implementation of decision models for the evaluation of information systems with regard to the growing importance of the effective use of information resources in organizations. Within this thesis, these decision models are developed in MS Excel and MathWorks MATLAB environments and use fuzzy logic to account for the uncertainty and complexity of decision situations. The aim of this work is to provide Q2 Interactive with an effective tool for selecting an appropriate information system.
Temperature distribution in a nuclear fuel rod
Vnenk, Petr ; Mičian, Peter (referee) ; Foral, Štěpán (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the temperature profile in the nuclear fuel rod. The main focus is on addressing the thermal processes within the fuel rod. As part of the thesis, a review of specialized literary sources was conducted. The construction of the fuel assembly was clarified, and the processes within the nuclear fuel were described. An integral part of the work involved the implementation of physical computational models related to the calculation of the fuel temperature profile. To address and highlight the mentioned issues, the VBA in MS EXCEL was utilized. This thesis aims to comprehensively cover the mentioned issues so that they can subsequently be effectively applied in practice.
Design calculation of heat exchanger for cooling of aggressive substances
Kůra, Tomáš ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design of a coaxial tube in tube heat exchanger. First, the existing methods of cooling of aggressive substances are presented. Subsequently, the compatibility of the heat exchanger materials with substances used in the semiconductor industry is addressed and the PFA polymer is presented in detail as a suitable material. The paper further explains heat transfer, both in general and specifically in heat exchangers. Not only the relationships commonly used in heat exchanger design are presented, but also equations for coaxial heat exchangers. The individual empirical equations are compared with measured data, and on this basis, the most appropriate relations are chosen to describe the processes in the exchanger under investigation. Then, the work describes the operation of the developed program in VBA, which includes thermal and hydraulic calculations and strength control.
Design of an Information System Part
Fiľo, Valér ; Dydowicz, Petr (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop an application in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language for JSA Design, a painting company. The firm, which had not previously used any electronic information system, identified a need for a new system that would simplify the calculation of job prices and the storage of job information. The work focused on the development of an application integrated into a Microsoft Excel environment that would automate and streamline the pricing and management of contracts. The main tasks of the application are the automated calculation of contract prices based on predefined criteria and parametric inputs, as well as the possibility of archiving and transparent storage of contract data. The result is a system that not only simplifies the company's internal processes, but also provides the basis for further expansion of functionality in the future. The thesis also includes testing of the application in a real company environment, which demonstrates its benefits and effectiveness.
Automatic generation of typical schematics in CAD/CAE system
Fiala, Jan ; Kolář, Milan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the design of a functional solution for automated generation of type schemes based on defined input parameters of the considered structures. The first part of the thesis includes an introduction to design and basic design documentation standards, control systems with field instrumentation. Then it focuses on the selection of suitable CAD/CAE software with a more detailed description of the chosen software and some of its features. The practical part first introduces the generated parts and the modifications to the initial schematics and documentation required to support automated generation. The process is presented with the generation procedure using concrete examples of documentation. The output of the thesis is represented on two sample projects that includes generated schemas using the proposed methodology.
Use VBA as a Tool for the Creation of Supporting Business Applications
Märtzová, Alexandra ; Neuwirth, Bernard (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses its goal on description and implementation of the information system application of the organisation financed by the state budget. After analysing the existing information system, change recommendations were proposed, that meet the norms, standards, and organisation requirements. Subsequently, the recommendations were implemented into application suggestion. The solution aim to automate data storage and search processes, transform related data into visual presentation, and thus reduce the length time of customer service.
