Design of shaped springs for mechanical resonators
Kleisl, Rudolf ; Hadraba, Petr (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the analysis of the geometry of the resonator. At the beginning, we will state where we draw our initial inspiration from, and where the designed resonator could find practical use. Later on, topological optimization methods are indroduced along with other optimization methods that will be used in our geometry design. In the practical part, a sensitivity analysis of selected resonator parameters will be performed. We will use the interpreted results in the subsequent optimization of the resonator according to the required limiting conditions.
A financial plan of business development
Rymeš, Václav ; Pěta, Jan (referee) ; Karas, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on creating a financial plan for Profimobil, s.r.o. The theoretical part defines key terms and the basic principles of financial planning and business management. In the analytical section, a comprehensive analysis of the company's financial health, market position, and business environment is conducted using PESTE analysis, Porter's Five Forces model, McKinsey's 7S framework, and SWOT analysis. The proposal section focuses on developing a financial plan that ultimately results in the company's bankruptcy. Consequently, two additional scenarios are developed. The first scenario aims to increase sales and maintain the strategic intent, while the second explores the implications of preserving Profimobil's existing concept.
Analysis of hysteresis behavior of vertical headlight adjustment in an automobile
Holec, Radek ; Hadač, Ondřej (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the occurrence of mechanical hysteresis in the vertical adjustment mechanism of car headlights. The adjustment mechanism contains certain inaccuracies that can result in mechanical hysteresis, a phenomenon in which the light source does not return to its original position and the direction of the light rays is deviated from the intended direction. The first part of the paper deals with contacts and friction in the connectors in the Abaqus software. Then the development of the computational model is described. This model is further compared with the measured values of the actual headlamp. A DOE (Design of Experiment) was performed and these results were processed using regression and sensitivity analysis. The effect of clearances and high friction moments was found to be the most significant. The paper concludes by describing the principles by which hysteresis arises and quantifying the various parameters that affect hysteresis.
Sensitivity analysis of costs on power outages resulting from nonadherence of custom - tailored standards of the continuity of power supply
Polák, Jiří ; Skala, Petr (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to describe the approaches used for the regulation of the continuous supply of electric power in the selected countries of European Union and to determine the power outages costs in the specific distribution network, resulting from non-observance of the customer standards used in Great Britain, Sweden and Finland. The costs have been calculated for the entire network, as well as for the individual outputs. The thesis carries out the sensitivity analysis of the power outages costs, resulting from the breaching the supply restoration standards and the multiple interruptions standard used in the Great Britain. The costs of the individual limits are shown in the tables and the graphs. The comparison of the individual outputs according to the height of the penalty costs have been carried out on the selected set of limits. The comparison of the order of the individual outputs is then carried out for the customer standards used in Great Britain, Sweden and Finland.
Aerodynamic optimization of passenger car body
Kubíček, Martin ; Fiľakovský, Karol (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on create an optimization methodology for CFD issues or any other computationally demanding software. Optimization method is applied on simplified model of car, where improves its aerodynamic properties
Sensitivity analysis of different forms of state observers
Kadlec, Milan ; Findura, Milan (referee) ; Vavřín, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the sensitivity analysis of selected kinds of state reconstructors. They are realized in a general form, via direct and parallel programing. Quantity that determines the quality of sensitivity is output signal difference of the reconstructor with the general form of the system. Testing will be based on different initial state conditions and on the parameters change of the feedback A matrix due to the rested reconstructors.
Optimization of Investment Strategy Using Genetic Algorithms
Novák, Tomáš ; Brázdil, Jiří (referee) ; Budík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design and optimization of automated trading system, which will be traded in FOREX. The aim is to create a business strategy that is relatively safe, stable and profitable. Optimization and testing on historical data are a prerequisite for the deployment into real trading.
Computer simulations of biaxial tension tests of soft biological tissues
Slažanský, Martin ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Polzer, Stanislav (advisor)
Within the master thesis a computational model of biaxial tension test of soft biological tissues was developed. The tested specimen can be attached using clamps or hooks. The number and the size of clamps and hooks have a significant impact on the distribution of stress and strain in the centre of the specimen, where deformation is measured. Using the developed computational model, a sensitivity analysis of number and size of clamps and hooks and a sensitivity analysis of placement of clamps was elaborated. The number and size of clamps and hooks were optimized in such a way that the material’s parameters obtained by the tension test correspond to the utmost to the actual parameters of the material. By analyzing the placement of clamps, the influence of selected deviations on the outcome of the tension test was determined. Finally, a plan of the next course of action has been proposed.
Back analysis of embankment dam and prediction of its behaviour during accidental design situations
Analýza sleduje geomorfologii, geologii, konstrukci tělesa hráze, použité materiály a metody, a stávající monitorovací zařízení.
Stochastic analysis of shear failure of reinforced concrete beams
Kucek, Martin ; Doležel, Jiří (referee) ; Novák, Drahomír (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on a solution of the load reaction of the bridge construction from girders KA-73. Proposal methods of the nonlinear analysis by means of final elements on the stochastic and deterministic level are used for the solution of the load reaction. A simulation technique Latin Hypercube Sampling is used within the stochastic analysis. A material degradation in the form of the trussing corrosion is solved with the expected decrease of the construction lifetime. The conclusion of the thesis contains an evaluation of initial quantities of material parameters for the load reaction of the construction in the form of the sensitivity analysis.
