Readiness of girls from an educational care institution for independent life
RANDLOVÁ, Alžběta
The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to analyze the place of the educational institute in relation to the adequacy of the preparation of girls for their independent life. My secondary goal is to evaluate the girls' assumptions and opinions about the adequacy of preparation for independent life by the institutional care. This is qualitative research, and as a procedure to achieve the goal, I chose semi-structured interviews with seven girls in an educational institution. I had a dictaphone to help me, which recorded conversations with the girls. The transcribed interviews are part of the appendices. The work helps to better understand the feelings of the girls in the institutional care, regarding the preparation for an independent life by the institutional care. It also contains the girls' assumptions and opinions about the adequacy or inadequacy of the preparation provided by the institutional care. I think the topic of this bachelor's thesis will be beneficial for the society, who may still consider institutional care as insufficient and inadequate for children and adolescents. But it can also be beneficial for a specific institutional care, for which the bachelor's thesis will be a certain reflection on the part of the girls, who had both words of praise and suggestions for improvement. In the conclusion of the bachelor's thesis after the evaluation of the interviews, it emerges that the girls know about the help from the institutional care, they also know the conditions under which they can be helped, and they know that they can always ask for help. Furthermore, in my bachelor's thesis, I have that girls are theoretically prepared to lead an independent life and their own household to the extent of their possibilities.
Girls and reproductive health
CHARVÁTOVÁ, Petra
The bachelor thesis focuses on girls and their awareness of reproductive health. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the definition of reproductive health, its risk factors, and discusses sexual education as a lifelong process. The text also describes the issues of adolescence, including secondary sexual characteristics that appear in girls during puberty. Menstruation, types of contraceptive methods, sexually transmitted diseases including prevention are described in detail. Planned parenthood is defined emphasizing the importance of gynecological exams. In the conclusion of the theoretical part, the work of a midwife is characterized, including her competencies in providing community care focusing on adolescent girls. Two objectives were set for the practical part. The first objective was to map the awareness of girls in primary school about reproductive health. The second objective was to determine the sources of information about reproductive health among girls in primary school. Two hypotheses were also defined for the study: Hypothesis 1: Girls in primary school would prefer a lecture on reproductive health from a healthcare professional rather than a teacher from the school. Hypothesis 2: Girls in primary school acquire information about reproductive health more from the internet than from school education. The research sample consisted of 108 respondents (100 %), specifically 52 girls (48 %) from the 8th grade and 56 girls (52 %) from the 9th grade of selected primary schools. Girls answered questions related to reproductive health. A quantitative data collection method was chosen, in which a questionnaire of 32 questions was compiled, including 16 closed-ended questions, 15 semi-open questions, and 1 open-ended question. The questionnaire was distributed in selected primary schools in paper form. McNemar's test was used for evaluation to assess the hypotheses. The significance level for deciding on the null hypothesis was set at 0.05. The research revealed that 98 % of girls obtained information about reproductive health from teachers in primary school, not from healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, or midwives. However, 79 % of girls stated that they would be interested in educational lectures from midwives. The research also showed that girls in primary school acquire the most information about reproductive health from the internet (49 %), from parents (38 %), and from school (37 %). It was concerning to find that in one response, it was mentioned that no one had provided any information about reproductive health to the girl. The results of the research section could be used by midwives as inspiration, especially for preparing materials for lectures on reproductive health for adolescent girls in elementary schools.

VELKOVÁ, Jana
The Bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of finding the meaning of life in old age and in adolescence. The aim of the preliminary research was to find out whether and what differences exist in the perception of the meaning of life and what the selected seniors and adolescents find the meaning of life in. The partial goal was to emphasize the importance of awareness of the meaning of our actions in senior age and in adolescence. The theoretical part describes the relationship between religious faith and the meaning of life, the life period of adolescence, then ageing old age and the changes associated with this period. The practical part contains qualitative preliminary research. The Night
Dušek, Filip ; Moravanský, Tomáš (referee) ; Javůrek, Tomáš (advisor)
The NIGHT bachelor thesis deals with the perception of the world by adolescents. It shows a specific period of the author's life and the events he experienced corresponding to the real realities. The form of featured documentary was chosen for this purpose. In the beginning, it was important to try to understand and name your thought processes at the time. In the final stage we then get to remain in mere observation without uttering a verdict. The document is in short format. The main role is played by a close person (brother), who is also in a similar period of life. The narration and location of the film are also true to the real places where the events originally took place. The film will feature mostly one person in the visual component - as the author's younger self. The whole film is accompanied by the voice of an indeterminate split entity (the inner voice of the actor / conscience / god / experience / ...), which in the form of a monologue will reveal what was going on. These voices will be materialized in a 3D object that is non-violently implemented in scenes. Through intimacy revealing the author's privacy to the viewer, there is a reconciliation with the past. Self-ironing reflections, relieving pseudo-problems of adolescence, which can have a perverse effect, can nevertheless bring fundamental knowledge and new value.
(Now what?)
Šťastná, Kateřina ; Chamonikolasová, Kaliopi (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is touch. The work builds on the fascination with touch, analyzes how different contents can be associated with a gesture that symbolizes something very subtle, fleeting and even fleeting, but at the same time can elicit a very intense and calmly long-lasting response. The output of the bachelor's thesis is a figural sculpture, the prototype of which is the author herself at the age of ten. By depicting a girl's body at an age when it is physically beginning to transform into a woman's body, I ephasizis the touch in its inconsistency, perhaps subtly uncertain the audience and raise questions focused on what the touch means to us.
