The role of the minor patient in the decision-making process regarding the provided health care
Šebková, Šárka ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Neugebauer, Jan (referee)
The bachelor's thesis entitled "The role of the minor patient in the decision-making process about the provided health care" deals with the issue of the rights of child patients and their respect. The work tries to outline the issue of providing health care to minor patients, its pitfalls and possible solutions to related problems. The aim of the work was to map the knowledge of minor patients in the area of their rights in the provision of health care and to evaluate their respect by health workers. The theoretical part of the thesis provides a basic overview of legal sources that regulate the role of minor patients in the provision of health care. This part of the work further outlines selected topics of the given issue from the point of view of valid legislation and points out possible pitfalls in practice. The empirical part presents the results of own work and their comparison with the results of other researches. The research method was a questionnaire of our own construction, which was distributed in the outpatient clinic of a general practitioner for children and adolescents. In the study itself were included 92 duly completed questionnaires. The results of the questionnaire survey showed that 72.83% of respondents think that they are given the opportunity to participate in decisions about...
Supplier Evaluation in Terms of Risk Using Fuzzy Logic
Švach, Šimon ; Podešva, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the evaluation of supplier risk using fuzzy logic-based models. Two models for supplier risk assessment have been developed in MS Excel and MATLAB software, which serve as a qualified basis for managerial decisions on supplier selection. Specific case studies were developed from the perspective of Hydraulics Ltd., a company that requires manufacturing services in the field of industrial machining and hydraulic systems. Based on the models, one or more least risky suppliers are selected, and measures are proposed to reduce supplier risk.
Application of Fuzzy Logic for Decision Support in Financial Markets
Malers, Anatolii ; Šuňavcová, Nikola (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The master‘s thesis deals with the use of fuzzy model in the investment decision on financial markets mainly with SICAV funds. This model is used for easier and faster decision when choosing a suitable investment for investors. The fuzzy model is created on the basis of criteria that are essential for making decision. This model is designed by MS Excel and MathWorks Matlab.
Evaluation of information systems via fuzzy logic
Hubík, Antonín ; Václavík, Lukáš (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the application of fuzzy logic principles to evaluate properties of an information system. The practical problem being adressed is a facilitation of selection of a new HR/attendance system according to the needs of a specific mediumsized enterprise, using a custom-fitted fuzzy model design to compare available options. The design of the model is based on system requirements determined from a business analysis and is supported by key theory from the field of fuzzy logic and modelling. The proposed model is implemented in MS Excel and MATLAB environments. The implementations are demonstrated by evaluating five system options. Based on the results, one of the options is recommended for further consideration.
Cognitive Game Battery: Assessing and Identifying Deficits in Memory, Attention, Problem-Solving, and Decision-Making Skills
Vyvinutá aplikace přináší jiný pohled na posuzování kognitivních nedostatků, porovnává uživatelem dosažené skóre s ostatními hráči a poskytuje mu detailní zpětnou vazbu.
Application of fuzzy logic as a support for decision-making in financial market
Pospíšil, Radek ; Šuňavcová, Nikola (referee) ; Janková, Zuzana (advisor)
The scope of this thesis is the application of fuzzy logic to support decision making in financial markets, specifically decision making for investments in REITs. Support of decision making is achieved by creating fuzzy models with an interactive user interface, specifically in MS Excel and MathWorks MATLAB. The thesis describes the basic principles and operations with fuzzy logic, introduces the basic criteria used to evaluate investments, and presents five illustrative investments that will be evaluated through the developed models. The evaluation of these investments is then compared between the models and the models themselves are also compared in different aspects.
Game Development for Assessment of a Person’s Reasoning, Auditory & Visual skills
Pejchar, Štěpán ; Hussain, Yasir (referee) ; Malik, Aamir Saeed (advisor)
Popisuje návrh her, a jejich implementaci.
Ethical dilemma in working with people with Asperger's syndrome
KAŠPAROVÁ, Eliška
This diploma thesis deals with theme of Ethical dilemma of social workers when deciding whether to create a collaborative plan based on the wishes of an adolescent with Asperger syndrome or a parent. The goal was to find out how social workers decide to interview, what factors influence their decisions. The topic is discussed both in the field of developmental psychology and theoretical knowledge about Asperger's syndrome, but this work also mentions theoretical knowledge of ethics in the field of decision-making. Qualitative research was focused not only on interviews with five social workers, but also on the view of adolescents with Asperger's syndrome and their parents on the given issue. In the research results, I emphasize the importance of elaborated internal regulations, which describe the procedure of working with the client, and which can help to solve the ethical dilemma.
Properties of the utility function in methods of MCDM
KADLEC, Josef
This thesis was concetrated on the value of utility function properties in the application of multi-criteria variance estimation models. The aim was to identify the deficiencies in the current utility function and to find the optimal alternative. Our study is based on the analysis of a case example involving the selection of an apartment for a student seeking accommodation. The relevance of different features of the utility function and their influence on the overall evaluation and decision making was investigated. Analytical methods and models were used to quantify this issue. The thesis was concluded by discussing the impact of identified utility function deficiencies on the evaluation results and suggesting a more appropriate utility function for multi-criteria variant evaluation applications. This study was sought to contribute to a better understanding of the influence of utility function characteristics on the quality of evaluation and decision making in multi-criteria analysis.
