Analysis of dynamic effects acting on crossings
Vukušičová, Daniela ; Vukušič, Ivan (referee) ; Smutný, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on measurement and analysis of dynamic effects on railway turnouts. Two turnouts with different wear condition were chosen. My attention was focused mainly on the crossing part of the turnout, where the highest dynamic impacts occur. The point of the thesis is comparison of the crossing part of turnouts in term of dynamic behaviour and assessment of influence of the wearing depth on dynamic effects. A part of the thesis is proposal of methodology of the measurement and convenient mathematical apparatus for analysing of dynamic effects on crossings.

Calculation of natural frequencies of a bar system using finite element method
Svoboda, Petr ; Kubík, Petr (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
The task of the presented bachelor thesis has been to program an algorithm of the finite element method to calculate natural frequencies of beam systems. To solve this problem a freely available SW products (Python, libraries NumPy, SciPy, Fortran compiler etc.) should have been primarily used and thereby to check possibilities of freely available SW product application in science purposes in the field of the Continuum Mechanics tasks. For a functionality verification of the program the ANSYS code is to be used.

Analysis of dynamic effects acting on the turnout constructions
Hajniš, Jan ; Vukušič, Ivan (referee) ; Smutný, Jaroslav (advisor)
Author´s name: Jan Hajniš School: Technical University - VUT, Brno Faculty of Civil Engineering Veveří 331/95, 602 00 Brno Program: Construction and Transportation Engineering Title: Analysis of dynamic effects acting on the turnout constructions Consultant: Prof. Ing. Jaroslav Smutný, Ph.D. Number of pages: about 70 + attachments Number of attachments: about 40 Year: 2012 This work describes the size and the process of dynamic effect – vibrations and shift – cockles in crossing panel and switch panels of the turnout constructions on steel and concrete sleepers in time and frequency domain. It compares the results of the measurement between these turnout constructions. Dynamic effects are undesirable physical phenomena for operation each train. It is therefore necessary to eliminate these phenomena as much as possible. The result of this test will by means of software programm and measuring set help to determine precisely the advantages and disadvantages of using both turnout constructions, or even to propose their improvements or dimensions.

Deformation Surveying of Bridge Abutment and Top of Earth Fill
Malota, Matěj ; Kuruc, Michal (referee) ; Švábenský, Otakar (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor´s thesis is shift observation of abutment and the top of earth fill at western side of the Ivančice viaduct. It is unstable due to complicatedhydro-geological conditions while merging the abutment and the adjacent, 23 metres high slope of embankment. In my thesisI am processing previous periods of GPS monitoring, which were measured since spring 2000 to autumn 2009, and also two of my own measured periods at spring 2012 and 2013.

Testing of automatic measurement system
Hromková, Zuzana ; Vondrák, Jiří (referee) ; Machotka, Radovan (advisor)
The thesis deals with testing of the automatic measurement system, namely of the system for monitoring civil engineering structures Trimble 4D Control. A summary of the basic principles of deformation monitor is given at the beginning of the study and is followed by an overview of the system´s structure. The activities carried out under the pilot project (beginning with the installation of the system and finishing by the evaluation of the measured data) are described. The project demonstrated by the functionality, reliability and usability of the systam for monitoring of the structures.

Commented Translation: Sheldon Cashdan: The Witch Must Die (1999)
Bauerová, Magdaléna ; Kalivodová, Eva (advisor) ; Tobrmanová, Šárka (referee)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two major parts. The first part contains partial translation of Sheldon Cashdan's book The Witch Must Die published in 1999 The book analyses fairy tales from psychological point of view. The translation is followed by a commentary that provides an analysis of the source text based on the model introduced by Christiane Nord. The commentary also includes a description of chosen translation method and a summary of the major translation problems. Finally it covers translation shifts that occured during the translation process. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
