Algorithms for integration of single-cell transcriptomic data
Ševčovičová, Zuzana ; Kolář, Michal (advisor) ; Abaffy, Pavel (referee)
Single-cell transcriptomics represents an innovative technique that allows for the examination of gene expression of individual cells in tissues or other complex biological samples. The data gen- erated through this approach offer crucial insights into various biological domains, such as em- bryology, oncology, and immunology. Understanding the functioning and mutual interactions of individual cells within tissues indeed requires knowledge of their individual expression profiles. Given the novelty of this method and technical challenges faced during data generation, com- parison of different samples may be difficult and affected by various batch effects. Effectively reconciling the information obtained regarding gene expression in distinct biological replicates or technical replicates generated by different methodologies may be onerous. The development of bioinformatics approaches to address this challenge is an ongoing process. The objective of this thesis is to: 1. survey the existing solutions for integration of single-cell transcriptomic data, 2. benchmark these solutions using publicly available datasets, specifically peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and 3. select the most suitable integration method to apply to a tumour microenvironment dataset generated by our laboratory. Problematics of integration of North Korean refugees in South Korea
Bláha, Matěj ; Suchánek, Jonáš (advisor) ; Kvasničková, Kristýna (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on problems associated with integration of North Korean refugees in South Korea. The main aim is to create a conceptual framework for deeper understanding of this issue. The fulfilment of this aim was achieved with the help of research questions that address the impact of refugees and South Korean society on refugee integration. The thesis synthesizes information from existing publications using the method of systematic literature review and can therefore serve as a basis for future research. The theoretical section, which discusses terms and concepts relevant to the thesis, is followed by two chapters of historical and geographical context needed for understanding of the issue of North Korean refugees and the description of methodology used in the systematic review. The results of the synthesis imply that the level of integration of North Korean refugees in South Korea is not very high and refugees face a significant number of barriers that make this integration difficult. For the sake of clarity, the systematic research has been categorically divided into thematic subchapters, which address in detail the different areas of this specific migration and integration. Key words: systematic review, integration, North Korean refugees, South Korea, North Korea

Integration of tools working with fingerprints
Dobeš, Kristián ; Sakin, Martin (referee) ; Kanich, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of the integration of tools working with fingerprints into current application SyFDaS. The main goal was to extend existing features of the application and develop new ones, such as visualization of simulated damage, damage annotation and generation of random input parameters for simulation. In the work, a methodology for integrating the new tools into the application was presented and successfully demonstrated. During the course of the work, the current user interface was greatly enhanced to better support different types of damage. The integration and extensions of tools were implemented in the C# programming language, including a reworking of the tools from Python using the EmguCV library for image processing. In the final part, quality analysis of the integrated tools with new extensions and testing of user interface friendliness were performed to confirm the functionality and usability of the application.
Gemini
Kartal, Emina ; Nový, Vítězslav (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is inclusive architecture. The aim of the thesis is the design of the dormitory and reconstruction of the Gemini High School in the Lesná housing estate in Brno, together with the reconstruction of the school's surroundings. The high school plans to increase its current capacity and aims for inclusive education, which is reflected in the new design. The current conditions are already inadequate. In the past, the school management was constrained by the available options and adopted a building with a kindergarten layout together with a garden. As a result, the school operates on a limited footprint or in cramped quarters. The aim is to provide quality education for all without distinction. An education that will be combined with a pleasant stay for the students, in the airy spaces in the school or the school garden, or in the new boarding building. The proposal includes a sustainable design approach to ensure that the investor incurs fewer costs associated with operating a building that functions as an educational institution.

Real-time propojení senzorů pro navigaci
Kaczmarek, Adrian ; Rohm, Witold ; Klingbeil, Lasse ; Tchórzewski, Janusz
The development of satellite techniques in the field of precise positioning and the availability of mobile devices with a built-in multi-GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver allow us to determine positions with better accuracy than a dozen or so years ago. At the same time, there is a growing demand from users for more and more accurate positioning while reducing the costs of the final device (e.g., a navigation system for autonomous lawn mowers). This work presents the concept of a solution that integrates different positioning techniques: gyroscopes, odometers, and GNSS using a loosely coupled Kalman filter. The sensor integration model was developed for horizontal components (2D) with simultaneous determination of azimuth and precise position. Additionally, the integration filter uses a dynamic weight matrix, the values of which are selected depending on the type of GNSS solution (FIX, FLOAT, etc.). Tests of the measurement platform were carried out under ideal conditions and in places where the horizon is obscured (passes along a high wall, under openwork steel trusses, etc.). The accuracies obtained during tests using EKF and the dynamic weight matrix are RMS 0.019 m for the North and East components. However, the accuracy of the azimuth determination was 0.59°. In addition, the presentation will present a platform concept that integrates low-cost sensors in real time. This work was supported by Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Poland) under the project “POMOST” (grant no. N110/0002/22).
