Contemporary forms of photography in art education
Zavadilová, Šárka ; Francová, Sylva (advisor) ; Magidová, Markéta (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the utilization of contemporary photography in art education and its influence on the development of creativity and perception of art among primary and secondary school students. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the evolution of photography over the last thirty years, including definitions of new terms and directions, and introduces the most important authors of this period. In the didactic part of the work, educational programs working with contemporary photography for general high school students are designed, implemented, and evaluated. Finally, an author's portfolio reflecting trends in contemporary fine art photography is presented. The aim of the thesis is to explore various methods and strategies that enable the effective inclusion of digital and post-digital photography in art education and to analyze the benefits of this approach for the development of visual thinking and expressiveness of pupils. Dynamic luminance measurement
Drašar, Vojtěch ; Motyčka, Martin (referee) ; Škoda, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the comparison of dynamic and static methods of measuring brightness on roadways. The thesis verifies the ability of current measurement techniques to analyse luminance ratios from the perspective of a moving observer, which can be, for example, a car driver. The measurement results are processed and modified using the LumiDISP program. Dynamic measurements are performed on selected systems, including the evaluation of the results.
Sony DSC-P73/593 Cybershot Digital Cameras Simulator and Trainer
Doležel, Zdeněk ; Drozdová, Martina (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of the manual, and simulator and trainer of Sony DSCP73/593 Cybershot camera. The material is designed for University of the third age in Brno. The manual describes the functions of the camera around, simulator and trainer allows these functions to test.
Unconventional Methods of Measurement in Photometry
Škoda, Jan ; Sokanský, Karel (referee) ; Gašparovský,, Dionýz (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with an unconventional possibility of measuring photometric values and the work is based on analysis of luminance made by commercially available digital photo camera. In the first part is represent an overview of current methods for measuring the photometry. You also can see the basic photometric values and required instrumentation needed to measure them. The focus of the work is concentrated on the description of the problems associated with setting the correct luminance of digital photography. It describes the dependency and correction procedures for calculating fixed luminance ratios of the individual images. The last part of this thesis is devoted to the possible use in practice, especially in the analysis of luminance of objects, luminaires and light sources. It also deals with an alternative description of luminaire and light sources to replace the luminous intensity curve etc.
Design of Compact Camera/Digital Camera
Jakubík, Norbert ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is to create a new modern design of a small compact digital camera in accordance with the technical, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements for this product. The aim is to create a product that is innovative and uncommonly shaped, while the control is simple and intuitive.
HDR Image Acquisition on Mobile Devices
Padyšák, Michal ; Nosko, Svetozár (referee) ; Musil, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with high dynamic range in digital photography. This problem is solved by composing multiple images with different time exposure of the same scene into single one including high dynamic range. Method is implemented as an application for Android operating system and the result can be shown on display of the device.
System for Management of Photographic Collections
Čermák, Pavel ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the management of digital photos by metadata contained in the photos. The thesis describes the structure of the formats JFIF, TIFF, RAW and EXIF format for storing metadata into photos. In the next part of this thesis is described the design and implementation of a simple photo management application. The main functionality of the application is focused on bulk editing EXIF metadata in the photos. In the conclusion of this thesis there's a proof of results and discussion about further extension options.
CANON IXUS 60 Digital Cameras Simulator and Trainer
Melkes, Ondřej ; Drozdová, Martina (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the creation of tutorial manual and simulations for digital camera Canon IXUS 60. The main purpose of the manual is teaching at the University of the third age, therefore emphasis is on the clarity. Simulation of digital camera allows testing of digital camera, as by teaching, as before buying.
Photo Booth
Valda, Tomáš ; Najman, Pavel (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design and implement a Photo Booth application which will be primarily used on tablet devices. The thesis explains existing solutions, analyses its insufficiencies and concentrates on the choice of appropriate technology resources. It also describes the way of implementation of the external payment processing with the usage of a private virtual server and following communication with database. Constituent part of this work is a design of user interface. The outcome is a functional prototype of the application ready to be used.
Comparison of Conventional and New methods of Measurement and Evaluation of Luminance
Svoboda, Miloslav ; Novák,, Tomáš (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
Because luminance is the only value to which our sight responds, its measurement becomes important in terms of ensuring the proper function of vision. Nowadays luminance measuring can be made by conventional methods, such as direct using of luminance meter. However an entirely new method of measuring luminance levels is coming. This method is based on using luminance analyzers which work using a digital photography for the analysis of luminance. This thesis deals with these issues and is divided into several chapters, which form the two main parts of the thesis, the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the basics of lighting technology, as well as the principles of measuring the luminance using conventional methods. New methods of measurement, i.e. using luminance analyzers, are discussed in two chapters which analyse both the principle and characteristics of analyzers available today. In the practical part is a comparative measurement carried out – in the laboratory and in terrain – using both methods.
