Web interface for managing certificates
Tesař, Tomáš ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is about development of a web application that serves as a certification authority. The application has been written in PHP as a module for the Nette framework. It uses the phpseclib library for the cryptographic operations. The work is presented with a theoretical part, which describes the distribution of public keys by use of certificates. Next, the technologies used are described and justified. Part of the work is the documentation of the source code of individual components of the application. Here, the individual classes of cryptographic objects and their mutual relationships are described. At the end of the work, the structure of the user interface is described.
Debian repository web interface
Kurmanova, Aidana ; Sláčik, Ján (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the implementation of a web interface for the Debian repository and the management of security certificates. The aim of the work is to create a modular web application for the Debian repository. The repository application is designed to perform basic functions: import packages and display package information. This thesis describes the principle of creating web applications using the Nette library, the structure of the Debian repository and other technologies used in the implementation of the application. The practical part of the work is devoted to the implementation of the web interface, as well as familiarization with the user interface and its functionality.
Network Traffic Encryptor on Linux Platform
Havlín, Jan ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on providing encrypted communication between two Linux operating system stations. It involves encryption using the AES-GCM-256 cipher, which uses a hybrid key derived from three separately generated keys. The methods for generating these keys are Quantum Key Distribution, CRYSTALS-Kyber and Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellmann. Thus, we use functions of three types of cryptography - classical, quantum and post-quantum. The paper also deals with the extension of the functionality of the original cryptography to authenticate the communicating parties using certificates and deployment of the encryptor in practice.
Electronic Registry for Local Authority
Stránský, Karel ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Electronic registry for local authority" is focused on usage of electronic registries for electronic communication between citizens and public authority. The first part describes the legislative page incidental with e-registries, principles of their functionality, and important requierements which are set on e-registiries. Furthermore elementary electronic signature's informations are included, along with creation and verification, and informations about certificates and certification authorities. The usage of digital signature at communication with electronic registry is also described. The second part is used to present particular concept of implemented sample electronic registry's system, and the solution of picked problems.
Hardware cryptographic modules for LAN security
Loutocký, Tomáš ; Lambertová, Petra (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deal with the problems of virtual private network (VPN). The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of the basic terms of computer security which are useful for better understanding the other parts. There is a description of VPN technology and its separation of VPN by various aspects in the second part of the thesis. The next chapter is dedicated to the description of realization of VPN by using IPSec. There is shown how to secure laboratory network by using of the products of the Safenet Company in the practical part of the thesis. There are also stated the modular techniques how to use products in the network in practical part. Some of the modular techniques describe security weaknesses of the products which are possible to exploit in the laboratory network and they also describe the ways how to protect them against misusage.
Digital certificates and certificate authorities
Lepa, Ondřej ; Hajný, Jan (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with certification and certification authorities, certification path PKI and principles of its validation and security. Also deals with structure of certificate itself and possible misuse of included information. Moreover, possibility of misues of third party certificates and proclamation of untrusted certificate to client's system.
SMS Encryption for Mobile Communication
Lisoněk, David ; Bouška, Petr (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with encryption of short text message (SMS) in mobile communication. Introduction is dedicated to overview of the parts of GSM radiotelephone nets and SMS messages transfer . Next chapter is reserved for description of cryptographic methods especially symetric and asymetric encryptografic aproaches. A design of a SMS messages encryption and decryption techniques is in next. For SMS encryption and sign, there is used the asymetric cypher RSA. Encryption use OAEP padding schema. The public key is saved in certificate. The Symbian OS has been choosen as a suitable platform for programming of mobile devices.
Use of electronic signature in business communication
Bauer, Oldřich ; Konečný,, Vladimír (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelors work is concerned with the electronic signature and it´s use at the most modern level and it is specialized on data security in the world of the eletronic documents. It describes the electronic signature and the electronic registry in technical and legislative way with the use in practice and concrete firm. It also includes information about digital libraries, protection of author rights and personal data, electronic registry and business communication. This work gives comprehensive formulation about the problems of actual state of the legislative and the use in practice.
Digital signature
Vaverka, Aleš ; Lambertová, Petra (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Digital signature, the subject of this semester paper, is nowadays very up-to-date. The still rising capabilities of the internet and the vision of lowering the amounts of paper documentation made it necessary to develop a way of signing documents which are transferred through the internet. This is supposed to be equally safe and unassailable as the handwritten signature. This method is called the digital signature. The paper focuses on the explanation of the essential terms connected to digital signature, such as certificate, certification authority, authentication, but in particular on the elementary cryption algorithms, further on applications that make use of digital signature, e.g. post services and electronic banking. In the final chapter, the positive and negative aspects of the electronic signature are discussed.
Module for Electronic Communication with the Czech Tax Administration
Havlena, Jan ; Jurka, Pavel (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Module for Electronic Communication with the Czech Tax Administration" has aim at the creation of module for electronic communication with the Czech Tax Administration (CTA) and implementation of one pilot electronic declaration of taxes for this office. It deals with legislation and methods used for declaring tax. It analyzes the used technologies: XML, methods of creation of digital signatures, signed certificate, certificate authority and HTTPS communication. Next, it describes procedure of layout, implementation of module for communication with CTA and problems solved during the implementation.
