Explicitní MKP analýza nárazu lidské lebky na tuhou podložku
Jiroušek, Ondřej
Article deals with explicit finite element modelling of contact conditions of human head impacting a flat rigid surface. For this purpose, detailed 3-D model of human skull and brain was developed based on a series of computer tomography scans of resolution 512x512 pixels taken at 1 mm distances. The FE model of human skull was filled with simplified model of human brain. The brain is modelled as a homogeneous viscoelastic material. A case study of low-velocity impact to different regions of the human head (e.g. frontal impact and impact in the occipital region) is also modelled.
Jednodimenzionální matematický model proudění elastickou trubicí s aplikací na proudění krve cévami
Štembera, Vítězslav ; Maršík, František ; Chlup, Hynek
The simulation of the fluid flow through elastic pipes has a great application in a blood flow through human vessels – investigation of such phenomena as an atheriosclerosis generation in artery walls, the Korotkoff's sounds generation or modeling of vascular mechanical substitutes (the so called stents) and is therefore widely studied. In this text we model the flow through collapsible pipes by the time-dependent, spatially one-dimensional model consisting of the balances of mass, momentum, and the coresponding material law.
Physical model of the human bloodstream system resistance - experimental evaluation
Chlup, Hynek ; Pražák, Josef ; Konvičková, S.
Experimental line for measuring velocity of the pulse wave in vessels (aorta) using invasive or noninvasive methods is designed in the Laboratory of human biomechanics, CTU of Prague. One of the basic parts of the experimental line is an element simulating periphery resistance of bloodstream. The element gradually divides the fluid stream to separate resistance segments.
Measurement of nucleation rate in corrossive mixtures
Krejčí, A. Petr
For a complete description of two-phase flow a basic informationabout liquid phase formation is needed. The information is fulfilled in terms ofnucleation rate and its dependency on quantities characteristic for gas-phaseflow. One of devices used for measuring of nucleation rate in multi-componentsystems of vapors and gases is a shock tube. Unique modification of this devicedesigned for measuring in chemically aggressive mixtures is described.
The first variants of a new system of simple, middle accurate approximations of some state variables and derivatives of wet vapor of H2O
Bayer, Zdeněk
A set of approximations for the specific volume of saturated liquid and saturated vapor, saturation pressure and for theirs derivatives as well as a concept of some theirs combinations is given.
Od zpívajících telegrafních drátů k teplotnímu řízení úplavu
Trávníček, Zdeněk
Vortex shedding from a bluff body is a classical problem for fluid mechanics. Since the time of Prof. Strouhal at the end of the 19th century, the phenomenon has been frequently studied. This contribution introduces (1) the historical context, (2) motivations and goals of the recent investigations, and (3) recent original results of research on the fluid dynamics and heat transfer of heated and cooled cylinders in the cross-flow, obtained mainly in the Institute of Thermomechanics.
Dispersion Properties of Plane Quadratic Finite Elements in Elastodynamics
Kolman, Radek
Dispersion properties of quadratic finite elements in elastodynamics are derived. The relationship for the determination of the mesh density from the knowledge of the loading spectrum is presented.
Vícekriteriální návrh leteckých profilů pro kluzáky
Popelka, Lukáš ; Müller, M. ; Matějka, M. ; Nožička, J.
The article presents results of multicriteria design of airfoils suited for sailplanes. Airfoils for root and tip wing section as well as for empennage has been designed. The use of turbulators has been proposed on two older airfoils and the possibilities of drag reduction has been discussed.
Nový kvantitativní popis elektrofyziologických procesů u srdečních komorových buněk morčete
Pásek, Michal ; Christé, G. ; Šimurda, J.
A novel quantitative model of a guinea-pig ventricular myocyte has been designed with transverse-axial tubular system (TATS) included. This model displays long-term stability and closely reproduces experimental activity-related changes in action potentials and ionic concentrations inside the cell and in the lumen of the TATS. It allows exploration of species-specific functional consequences of the presence of the TATS in a biophysically realistic way.
Stress-strain analyze of en elbow joint
Hlavoň, Pavel ; Fuis, Vladimír ; Florian, Z.
Summary: In traumatology demolition of elbow joint there are in many cases, where the surfaces of the joint are damaged. These parts of the joint have been removed during the operation. Function of the joint isn’t away but it nevertheless causes a really strong pain in the patient’s wrist. There is mentioned in the paper stress-strain analyze of the elbow joint in FEM and also geometric model of partial aloplastic for proximal part of radius.
