Towards classification and terminology of early life history stages in fishes
Peňáz, Milan
This review paper analyses and describes main approaches in the classification of fish ontogeny and concerning terminology, it tries to summarize main results obtained as well as to point out and to discuss the main existing confusing problems, such a differently understood and differently demarcated larval and juvenile life history periods. Important role of absolute yolk amount on the character of early ontogeny, with consequencies on the strategies of reproduction a population dynamics is also emsized.
Oxygene regime of pools and oxbows in the aluvium of the lower reach of the Dyje River in winter 1999/2000
Horák, Václav ; Machatka, T.
This study is focused on the oxygene regime of pools and oxbows which are found in the Dyje River aluvium (r. kms 0.0 - 18.0). The oxygene conditions determine the quality of environment of these biotops for fish. In total 4 pools, 3 oxbows and 1 river were investigated.
Polyploidy in Carassius auratus in the lower reaches of the River Dyje - determination using the size of erythrocyte nuclei
Halačka, Karel ; Lusková, Věra
Polyploidy in goldfish (Carassius auratus) from four different localities on the lower reaches of the River Dyje was determined using the size of erythrocyte nuclei. On the basis of the nuclei area, its perimeter and its major axis, diploid, triploid
Genus Gobio in fish communities of waters in the Czech Republic
Lusk, Stanislav ; Lusková, Věra ; Halačka, Karel ; Lojkásek, B. ; Horák, Václav
Waters of the Czech Republic are inhabited by three species of genus Gobio. The species Gobio is wide-spread. The distribution area of Gobio albipinnatus covers the Morava and Dyje drainage basins, where, in sites with sympatric G. gobio occurrence, is species arise. The species Gobio kessleri is limited only to the River Bečva (tributary of the River Morava), namely to its lower and middle reaches upstream to r.km 40.
Influence of storage on the values of biochemical indices in blood plasma of Cyprinus carpio
Lusková, Věra
The performed examinations of enzyme activity (AST, ALT, CK, GLDH, CHE, LDH, ALP, ACP), blood metabolite concentration (GLU, lactate) and total protein changes revealed that time is the decisive factor in all kinds of the plasma storage.
Variability of natural reproduction of fish in the floodplain area
Bartošová, Š. ; Jurajda, Pavel
The 0+ fish communities of eight gravel pits along the River Dyje were investigated by electrofishing using the point-abundance sampling strategy in three years. Composition and quantity of 0+ fish communities were different among years.
