Antibiotic resistance profile determination in hybrid assembled bacterial genomes
Dzurčaninová, Natália ; Škutková, Helena (oponent) ; Nykrýnová, Markéta (vedoucí práce)
Antibiotic resistance is a severe problem largely caused by changes in bacteria's genomes. The acquisition and storage of reliable bacterial genomic data is, therefore, vital for the study of mechanisms and transfer of antibiotic resistance. This thesis describes bacterial genome, antibiotic resistance and tools for its identification along with processes necessary for genome acquisition, sequencing and assembly. It focuses on hybrid assembly of genomes of generally highly resistant bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae and subsequent analysis of this genomes. The purpose of the analysis is construction of antibiotic resistance profiles and determination of phylogenetic relatedness between the genomes.
