Pixelated electrically small antenna
Turák, Samuel ; Kadlec, Petr (referee) ; Zechmeister, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problematic of programming and implementation of binary evolutionary algorithms and their practical application for design of pixelated electrically small antenna for ISM band 868 MHz. Two binary evolutionary algorithms are introduced and implemented, both created in the programming environment Matlab. The basic antenna design and its optimization are performed by the program CST controlled by an in-house Matlab code. In the thesis, an empiric research of miniaturization and sensitivity of the electrically small antenna is conducted. This bachelor thesis deals with the problematic of programming and implementation of binary evolutionary algorithms and their practical application for design of pixelated electrically small antenna for ISM band 868 MHz. Antenna system for car radar
Zechmeister, Jaroslav ; Hazdra, Pavel (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of lens antennas for automotive radar in 77 GHz bandwidth. The work explains methods of designing waveguides as well as horn antennas and dielectric lens. A simulation of three designed horn antennas is performed in CST Microwave Studio. Antennas with spherical and hyperbolical lens are simulated as well and subsequently optimized for maximal gain. The thesis also investigates effects of the lens permittivity on its properties. Furthermore, the work deals with a design of an antenna system with minimalized antenna coupling. Nylon, ABS and photopolymer lens are designed and compared afterwards. ABS and photopolymer lens were produced by 3D print
3D printed dielectric resonator antenna
Lungu, Masauso ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zechmeister, Jaroslav (advisor)
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem a výrobou válcové dielektrické rezonátorové antény pracující na kmitočtové pásmu ISM 5,8GHz. V této práci jsou popsány různé metody buzení antény. V CST Microwave Studio byly navrženy a prozkoumány dva numerické modely válcové dielektrické rezonátorové antény, jeden s koaxiální sondou a druhý se štěrbinovým napajení. Model se štěrbinovým napajení byl poté vyroben technologií 3D tisku a následně byly jeho vlastnosti změřeny a ověřeny simulovanými výsledky.
Circularly polarized dielectric resonator antenna
Zechmeister, Jaroslav ; Kufa, Martin (referee) ; Mrnka, Michal (advisor)
This thesis discusses the design circularly polarized dielectric resonator antennas for ISM band 5,8 GHz. In this work are explained and compared different ways of resonator feeding. There are also discussed the possibility of generating a circular polarization from a aperture feeding. Two methods of generating circular polarization in dielectric resonator antennas are simulated in CST Microwave Studio. This methods are C-shaped slot and cross slot. For antenna with cross slot feeding is also simulated effect of the manufacturing process to characteristics proposed antenna. The antenna is made, measured and the results are compared with simulations.
Automatic robot path planning tool
Rotrekl, Tomáš ; Zechmeister, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kadlec, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of robot path planning. The aim of the work is to get acquainted with the principles of robot path planning as is the creation of mazes with obstacles, expanding those obstacles, describing the environment of the maze, and using different ways to solve those mazes using the Dijkstra algorithm, A star algorithm, and the Variable Number of Dimensions Differential Evolution (VND-DE) algorithm. These algorithms are then implemented is independent toolbox created in programming language MATLAB. This tool allows as to create test tasks (mazes) and solve them using the mentioned algorithms.

Measurement Of Electrically Small Antennas
Zechmeister, Jaroslav
Measurement of electrically small antennas is a great challenge due to the influence of a test cable and surrounding environment. For the elimination of an unbalanced current on nonsymmetrical feed cable, two methods can be exploited. The first one uses a quarter wave sleeve balun placed between the test cable and antenna under test for the compensation of the unbalanced current. The second one is a two-port method which measures the input impedance with suppression of the unbalanced current. Both the methods are in this contribution studied in deep and compared on the measurement of a printed dipole antenna and printed inverted F-antenna. In addition, for the antenna efficiency measurement of those antennas, a generalized Wheeler cap method is exploited.
3D-Printed Lens For High Directional Low-Profile Antenna
Zechmeister, Jaroslav
This contribution focuses on 3D-printed lenses for a high directional low-profile antenna for 77 GHz. Two 3D-printing technologies and two different materials are used for the lens fabrication. A dielectric constant and a conductivity of these materials were measured with a transmission/ reflection measurement method. The realized antennas with the designed lenses have gain more than 27 dBi and angular width of the main lobe below 6˚.
