Women's Criminality and Criminality against Women
Zárubová, Petra ; Tlapák Navrátilová, Jana (advisor) ; Mulák, Jiří (referee)
Women's Criminality and Criminality against Women Abstract The topic of the present rigorous thesis is women's criminality and crime against women, i.e. two different views of women, first as perpetrators of crime and then as victims. Although women represent more than half of the population, the topic of women's criminality is not given as much attention as that of men or other population groups (e.g. juvenile delinquency). Thus, women are perceived as victims of crime rather than as perpetrators of crime. The second part of the thesis is devoted to the topic of women as victims of crime, as this is still a very topical issue at present. The aim of the thesis is to give a picture of both types of crime, to give their specifics, to describe their causes and to focus on possible repressive and especially preventive measures that can be used to suppress or prevent this type of crime. At the same time, the work aims to compare the information found with foreign legislation (Germany), to point out the shortcomings of the current legislation and any current problems, and to outline possible changes or proposals for de lege ferenda regulation of the issue. In the introductory chapter, the thesis first defines the basic criminological concepts used in the following chapters, such as the concept of crime itself,...
Comparison of Iron-chelating Effects of Clinically Used Peroral Iron Chelators and 8-hydroxyquinolines

in English Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of pharmacology and toxicology Candidate: Pavla Zárubová Consultant: Přemysl Mladěnka, Ph.D. Name of thesis: Comparison of iron-chelating effects of clinically used peroral iron chelators and 8-hydroxyquinolines Iron is an essentials element, which takes part in many vital processes. However, excessive iron can be toxic for the organism by catalyzing production of free radicals. Long-term administration of blood transfusions in the therapy of various anaemias is the most common cause of iron overload. Each transfuzion represents an intake of 200-250 mg iron in the organism, which due to low daily elimination (only 1-2 mg) leads to iron overload. As a result, complications like cardiovascular impairment or liver fibrosis can emerge. The risk of these severe complications can be reduced by administration of iron chelators. Deferoxamine has been traditionally used for the chelation therapy of chronic iron overload, but to his disadvantages belong frequent parenteral applications. In these days we can also use modern orally acive chelators (deferipron, deferoxamin). Furthermore, there is a wide range of potentially new indications (inflammation, tumor, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases). In all these...
Comparison of iron-chelating properties of synthetic iron chelators
Zárubová, Pavla ; Mladěnka, Přemysl (advisor) ; Pourová, Jana (referee)
in English Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of pharmacology and toxicology Candidate: Pavla Zárubová Tutor: Přemysl Mladěnka, Ph.D. Name of thesis: Comparison of iron-chelating properties of synthetic iron chelators Iron is an essential element for living cells. Both lack of iron (sideropenia) and iron overload can be dangerous for the organism. Thus, iron homeostasis is maintained on the cellular and whole body levels. Sideropenia may occur as a consequence of increased blood loss/ increased iron need (menarche, gravidity, lactation), lack of iron in food or in derangements of gastrointestinal tract. Iron excess can be caused by acute intoxication, dangerous mainly in children, and also in chronic poisoning, caused by hereditary disorders or especially by frequent blood transfusions during the treatment of some haematological diseases. Iron chelators are a wide group of chemical substances with very variable structure. They have been used therapeutically in different indications for many years and other indications are being researched recently. Traditionally, they are used for chelation therapy in acute intoxication and in chronic iron overload, nowadays they are in the center of research attention in association with cancer and neurodegenerative...

Possibilities of disabled people to participate on labor market in selected region
Zárubová, Petra ; Tomšíková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Lenka, Lenka (referee)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of persons with disabilities in the labor market region of Townsville. It is an analysis of the views of primary school pupils practical and convenient two-year schools and their teachers. The aim of this work was based on the mapping of the labor market in selected region and acquired information to find out what are the possibilities of these people and whether their parties interested in other applications. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the introduction and explanation of terms related to the issue. The practical part addresses the analysis of the situation of persons with disabilities through individual in-depth interviews. Based on the information they are designed own recommendations for improving the situation of these people in the labor market in the region
