From seven to eleven years: As children of primary school age are writing literature

The project has dealt with the concept of texts and written texte styles among the children of a younger school age (1st to 5th grade od elementary school). Research examination was qualitative. Even the methods wich were used matched that: collecting written materials, observation, discussions with children and teachers. Research was conducted with the participating children who came from a nuber of classes within one elementary school. The project has focused on the developmental psychology. Attention has concentrated on the appearances of texts written by children, mainly literary texts, their characteristics, development and changes, strategies of children's writing, the use of typeface and similar details. The monitored characteristics have been captured in its development, gradually from the first to the fifth class. The author has subsequently devoted her time to the questions of the children's authorschip, communication with conventional models of text, relation between reading and writing, development of concepts of various themes, influence of chool and children's culture on the development of a written composition and other problems.
