Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies, 2023. This master's thesis focuses on the concept of smart cities and their implementation in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the characteristics and criteria of smart cities, their benefits, and their contributions to cities, as well as the challenges and obstacles associated with their implementation. Furthermore, the individual areas and tools of smart cities are introduced. In the empirical part of the thesis, data analysis was conducted based on interviews with representatives of cities and municipalities participating in projects related to the concept of smart cities. The results of this thesis showed that several cities in the Czech Republic have already successfully participated in the concept of smart cities, but there are still several barriers that prevent its widespread adoption and successful implementation. Monitoring of volatile substances in the fish

This Bachelor thesis deals with post-mortem biochemical processes in fish. The theoretical part is focused on describing the ongoing changes in fish and the production of volatile compounds in different species of fish during post mortem changes. Experimental part is focused on monitoring and chemical analysis of volatile compounds from fish under various storage conditions. The analysis is performed on the basis of gas chromatography with mass detector.
