Contribution to the Hemodynamic of Vascular Anastomosis
Grus, Tomáš ; Lindner, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Adamec, Miloš (referee) ; Veverková, Lenka (referee)
The primary objective of the research project was the optimization of geometry of the infrainguinal prosthetic bypass in the site of the distal end-to-side anastomosis. Due to the negative influence of hemodynamics, it is most frequently this location, which is responsible for the longterm failure of the graft. Our prospective angiographic study in patients as well as experimental and computational simulations indicate that flow type in the anastomosis and wall shear stress (WSS) in particular are the key factors that determine the location of neointimal hyperplasia and promote its progression. Maximum of such changes was located in the toe, heel, and bottom of the anastomosis, and these clinical findings correspond with the results from the simulations. We carried out several clinical experiments that suggest the importance of the angle of the distal anastomosis of an infrainguinal prosthetic bypass as a key factor in the development (both location and quantity) of neointimal hyperplasia 6 to 24 months following the procedure. The construction of the anastomosis at a more acute angle results in WSS values that are closer to physiological flow. This reduces both mechanical impairment of the endothelial cells and stimulation of the smooth muscle cells. From the researched set of anastomotic angles (25ř, 45ř,...
State Support of Domiciliary Services
Veverková, Lenka ; Průša, Ladislav (advisor) ; Pauerová, Hana (referee)
The title of my diploma paper is State Support of Domiciliary Services for the Elderly, in which I talk about domiciliary services as the main instrument for social inclusion In my diploma work, I focus on the main features that influence the provision of domiciliary social services for the elderly, in the light of current reforms, related, previously implemented reforms and the introduction of social services legislation from 2006,in valid wording. In my analysis of these elements, I evaluate the support of the state to analyse the accessibility and development of domiciliary social services in the region as an instrument for social inclusion.I focus on the competence and responsibilities of the individual providers, as the state, district, community and non-governmental, non-profit organisations in the field of social services. An important element in securing high quality services is their accessibility and therefore I concern myself with the circumstances and evaluation of the region's facilities.I further describe basic financial resources of the financial structure of social services, giving the specific example of the financial structure of social service providers in Prague 2's district council area. In the practical part of my work, I focus closely on an assessment of domiciliary social services...
Wound repair and diabetic wound defects

of dissertation thesis WOUND REPAIR AND DIABETIC WOUND DEFECTS. Rastislav Slavkovský Impaired diabetic wound healing is an important current medical issue, mainly concerning patients recovering from complicated operations or patients with ulcers on their feet. Hyaluronan (HA) plays an important role in the repair of damaged skin and has been used for the treatment of wounds. A mixture of high molecular weight HA with the antiseptic iodine complex KI3 (Hyiodine) was reported to accelerate wound healing in patients with diabetes and patients after surgery. We investigated how this mixture affects wound contraction, granulation tissue (GT) and wound edges in excision skin wounds in rats. Hyiodine was applied to full- thickness wounds made on the back of rats. The areas of the contracting wounds were calculated from digital photographs. The migrating edges of the wound were studied by histological methods. The properties of GT were studied in wounds in which contraction was prevented by the insertion of plastic rings. The effects of Hyiodine were compared with those of high molecular weight HA, low molecular weight HA and KI3 solution. Hyiodine accelerated wound contraction significantly in the first 5 days of healing. On day 3, Hyiodine-treated wounds had reduced to 63% of the original area, whereas...
Home office
Veverková, Lenka
The content of this thesis is a design of portable home office. The theoretical part includes a historical overview of worktables development from the middle ages to the present, also trends in home office design. Before designing itself was necessary to define the concept of home office and to define the requirements for this proposed product, which also includes a detailed survey of the target group. In the next section is presentation of final design with sketches and 3D visualizations. The final design is described in material, construction and technology.

Daniela Fischerová and her radio plays
Veverková, Lenka ; VEDRAL, Jan (advisor) ; ZEMANČÍKOVÁ, Alena (referee)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analytically and critically investigate the radio plays of the Czech author and playwright Daniela Fischerová. It explores her work from 1989 to the present which comprises eight radio plays, three micro radio plays, one radio fairy tale and ten one minute long plays. It also deals with the term "radio play" and its specifics. I work in the Czech, respectively the Czechoslovakian context. As a theoretical basis for this thesis I use publications, theoretical texts and lectures by Eva Ješutová, Jan Czech, Přemysl Rut, Vaclav Růt, Jan Vedral and many others. I use the theoretical basis for the analysis of the radio plays by Daniela Fischerová and the directors approaches of Hana Kofránková, Josef Červinka and Aleš Vrzák. My bachelor thesis is based not only on reading the scripts, but mainly on listening of the radio plays. Other sources of my bachelor thesis were the annexed interviews with the creators of these radio plays. The major objective of this bachelor thesis is to seamlessly introduce Daniela Fischerová's radio plays. In the analyzed plays I deal with the themes, topics and narratives. I also observed the compositional elements and techniques that I tried to summarize and define in the concrete plays.
