Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after an operation with fracture of neck of femur
Kuběnová, Jana ; Vrbová, Martina (advisor) ; Veselá, Irma (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of patient after an operation with fracture of neck of femur Summary: This bachelor's thesis was compiled on the base of intership on department of orthopedic University Hospital Královské Vinohrady. The main objective of this thesis is to theoretically pose question about fracture of neck of femur. It contains of two parts. The first part is theoretical, where I wrote about anatomy, kinematics, traumatology, medical and physiotherapy methods focused on neck of femur. The second part is decicated to the casuistry of the patient after injury of neck of femur. The fracture was treated by osteosynthesis with dynamic hip screw (DHS). Keywords: physiotherapy, case study, osteosynthesis, fracture of neck of femur, dynamic hip screw
Case study of physiotherapy treatment after reosteosynthesis of the femur
Plíšková, Lucie ; Nováková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Veselá, Irma (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after reosteosynthesis of the femur Objectives: Primary objective of this work is learning about all aspects concerning the osteosynthesis exchange; to gain the theoretical knowledge from literature and to demonstrate the special skills on a specific patient. I have made the review in theoretical part; I focused primary on the fracture, complication of fractures, and intramedullary nailing. I have described a case study with the specific patient in the practical part. Methods: I have learnt the theory dealing with orthopaedic and traumatology and I extended my understanding of physiotherapy in rehabilitation. I studied the diagnosis of a particular patient, interviewed him and collected anamnestic data. I made kineziology analysis. I applied the therapy; I minimalised the consequence of the surgery he underwent. I made closing kineziology analysis at the end of therapy. I compared both analyses. Results: I evaluated the results in the chapter Effect of therapy. The swelling of the operated extremity was succesfully removed. Full articular extent was reached by this extremity. I positively supported muscle power, it raised through the therapy. The patient is self- sufficient and he is able to walk on crutches. Keywords: femur, fracture,...
Case report of physiotherapeutic care about patient with diagnosis of spondylolisthesis L4/5.
Jágrová, Eva ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Veselá, Irma (referee)
Title of bachelors thesis: Case report of physiotherapeutic care about patient with diagnosis of spondylolisthesis L4/5. Objective: The aim of this paper is to develop a case study of a patient with diagnosed spondylolisthesis L4/5. The general part of the work is dedicated to theory and theoretical information regarding the anatomy and biomechanics of movement of the lumbar spine, types of spondylolisthesis and its treatment. Further, the special section provides information about the health condition of the patient, input kinesiological analysis, conducted therapy and kinesiology output analysis, that was designed in order to evaluate the effect of therapy. Keywords: spondylolisthesis, lumbar spine, shift of the vertebral body, physiotherapy
Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient diagnosed with femoral neck fracture treated with DHS
Sárazová, Daniela ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Veselá, Irma (referee)
Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient diagnosed with femoral neck fracture treated with DHS. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is a summary of theoretical knowledge of femoral neck fractures and a case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient, who suffered this fracture and underwent an osteosynthesis with DHS. Methods: This thesis is divided into two parts. The first, general part is based on the research of professional literature. It describes the anatomy and kinesiology of hip joint, trauma of the proximal femur area, especially femoral neck fractures, options of their treatment and recommended physiotherapy approaches and methods. The second, specialized part covers the case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient diagnosed with femoral neck fracture, which was treated with DHS osteosynthesis. The case study includes the physiotherapy assessment of the patient before and after the treatment, process of the physiotherapy treatment and evaluation of the treatment effect based on the assessments. Results: The result of the physiotherapy treatment was general improvement of patient's condition. The most apparent changes were muscle strength improvement, range of motion improvement, better condition of soft tissues, better gait skills and regained independence of the...
