Anxiety in adolescents related to the use of social networks

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of anxiety in adolescents in relation to their use of social networks sites. The topic of anxiety, its origin, functioning and bridging into anxiety disorder is discussed. Furthermore, the devoted part of adolescence is emphasized with the developmental tasks of this period, as developmental tasks can provide an explanation of why adolescents and young adults are the most frequent users of social networks sites. Much of the work is also devoted to the Internet and social networks sites, especially the findings of research that focused on mental health issues in connection with the use of the Internet and social networks sites. As such, the four most common areas examined were sleep disturbance, depression, Internet addiction and its subtypes, and anxiety. The empirical part presents a questionnaire survey, which was conducted on high school students. The questionnaire battery included an Internet Addiction Test (IAT), a Social Media Disorder Scale (SMDS), and an Revised Child's Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS-2). Psychological aspects of chronic pain focusing on the personality of patients

This thesis deals with the psychological aspects of chronical pain with focusing on personality. The theoretical part is divided into two main domains. The first one is devoted to psychological aspects of chronic pain, what does chronic pain change in patients experiecing. Next domain is mainstay of the thesis that personality of patient involve perception of pain, and that different types of personality have different experience with chronic pain. After that will deal with researches of pain personality. Each chapter is designed to summarize the basic data of the subject and to present the current state of research in the given field. In the research proposal, a quantitative personality study will be created using the TCI inventory, which is the operationalization of the Cloninger model.
Mental and physical stress of anaesthetic nurse

Work in the given field is very varied. The nurse is responsible for sufficient material resources, readiness of the working area and correct function of the anesthesiological instruments. After the patient is brought to the theatre the nurse needs to ensure several tasks, assist the surgeon, check physiological functions of the patient during surgery, keep nurse documentation and after the operation she is responsible for the clean-up of the operating room and final check of the anesthesiological instruments. The responsibilities of the nurse as well as the working environment are described in detail, particularly regarding the psychological pressure the work requires. The work is further aimed at the physical load this job involves.Single aim was chosen for the research part of this work: to find what mental and physical load the nurses experience. Results for the research part of this work were obtained based on qualitative research in the form of in-depth interviews completed by two standardised questionnaires. The research was conducted for ten randomly chosen anesthesiological nurses working at operation theatres at the hospital in České Budějovice after approval from the head nurse of the hospital.Six categories emerged through the conducted analysis comprising the meaning of employment for the anaesthesiology nurses, mental load of the occupation, handling that load, relationship among the staff and working condition of the nurses.
